Sex & Mayhem 04 No Matter What (14 page)

When their
gazes locked, there was a raw energy between them, sparks that came
with knowing one another so well, from the raw emotion they shared.
Maybe this was Ghost’s destiny? The universe telling him he
couldn’t escape this love?

Luca’s hand was
moving over his cock, uncovering and covering the smooth head at a
steady pace as warm water trickled off the length. Combined with
the dark flush on Luca’s chest and face, the gentle swell of his
lips, it was one of the most erotic things Ghost had ever seen.
Luca gasped, swirling his thumb around the cockhead before bringing
the finger to his lips and sucking in the tip.

Ghost was
mesmerized and didn’t wait anymore, stroking his own cock faster.
Luca was exactly what he didn’t know he needed in life. Sexy but
sweet, new but well known. He still had no idea how to deal with
his attraction to a man, but right now, thinking didn’t matter
anymore, as his focus slid down that toned body.

“You wanna try
coming together?” uttered Luca through a smile that broke his face
in half. He was pushing his hips forward, starting to fuck his fist
in earnest.

“Yeah,” Ghost
whispered, and couldn’t help his own smile. He could adjust to
this. Not with just anyone. But with Luca? Hell yeah. He started
jerking off faster, and it couldn’t have felt more natural to
fantasize about his come on that smooth skin.

Luca’s body was
moving like a wave, hips stirring back and forth, followed by the
hairless chest with perky, wet nipples. Strands of wet hair were
cascading down his shoulders. He was biting his lip, moaning and
jerking off at an ever-faster pace. Their eyes met, once more
causing sparks to fly in the cramped space, and it was as if an
electric shock pushed come out of Ghost’s cock. Luca bit back a low
groan, shuddering when he came by the other wall.

Still shivering
and panting, Ghost stepped closer to Luca all soft-kneed, and
grabbed the sides of his face before planting a passionate kiss on
his lips. At least
something
was falling into place in his
life, and he was not about to let Luca go because of some silly
hang-ups.

Luca pushed
against him, and there they were, wet, naked, and chest to chest.
Groin to groin, and it was hot as hell. Luca shivered in his arms,
passionate in the kiss like no one other before him.

“You feel so
good.”

“We’ll make
this work,” Ghost whispered between one kiss and another. Luca
smiled against his mouth. Ghost turned off the water, and Luca held
him close, so happy he’d wiggle a tail if he had one.

“You have no
idea how much this means to me,” he whispered, leaving little
kisses all over Ghost’s face.

“Let’s get
dressed, because that shopping is not going to do itself.” Ghost
hated to leave their little bubble, but time was up. He had found
out something new though. He liked guys’ solo scenes just as much
as girls’.

They got
dressed, with Luca happily donning Ghost’s college hoodie and old
jeans. He looked nothing like when they first met in the
restaurant, much more casual, younger. After the tense moments of
the day before, it was nice to see him smiling and walking about as
if he didn’t have cigarette burns or horrible bruises under the
clothes. It was high time to leave the room when Ghost smelled
pancakes.

He jogged
downstairs with a silly smile, to find his mom in the kitchen. Don
was still there though, reading a newspaper at the table. Instead
of a ‘good morning’, the first thing Ghost heard was:

“What are you
so happy about?”

“Don, can’t you
be nice for once?” hissed Mom, scowling. “You should be happy. Your
son’s following your path to an early grave.”

“At least
something good’s come out of this little cheat,” growled Don.

“Dad, we can
talk about this in private if you really need to.” Ghost took a
deep breath, and before he knew what he was doing, he pulled out a
chair for Luca, who had just strolled into the kitchen. His parents
stilled, but since he’d already done it, Ghost chose to pretend it
wasn’t weird at all.

Luca blinked,
but after initial hesitation, he did sit in the chair. His gaze
trailed over the whole room, and he cleared his throat. “Good
morning,” he said to Ghost’s parents.

Mom uttered
something in response before pretending she was too busy with the
pancakes to talk, but Don just couldn’t give it a rest.

“Are you gay
now?” he asked.

Ghost wanted to
howl. “No, I’m not ‘gay now’, I told you it’s complicated. I’m just
helping Luca get back on his feet.”

“As long as
you’re not helping him get it up…” Don groaned, eyeing Luca like he
were toxic waste.

“Dad!” Ghost
hissed at him, as he passed Luca a plate, but Don wasn’t done.

He downed his
coffee and gave Ghost a stern look from across the table. “I might
be fine with Tooth being as he is, but I know you’re straight.
Charla was fucking satisfied after she slept with you.”

Mom grabbed the
newspaper and swatted him over the head with it. “I don’t want to
hear anything about that old slut in my house!”

“What the fuck
is your problem, woman? I didn’t fuck the bitch! He did.”

Ghost couldn’t
miss Luca pushing away from the table, his eyes fixed on the
utensils in Mom’s hands, as if he half expected her to go on a
bloody rampage.

Ghost lowered
his head to whisper in his ear. “Just ignore it and have some
pancakes, I’ll deal with it.” He figured changing the topic might
work, so he looked up at his mom. “Do you have any without maple
syrup? Luca doesn’t like it. He told me it’s not very popular in
Italy.”

Don squinted.
“Maybe Luca needs to go back there then, and suck some
non-maple-syrup-Italian-dick, instead of hovering around my
son!”

Ghost hit the
table with his fist. Why couldn’t his family be normal? “Shut up!
He’s had a rough few days.”

Don snorted.
“His rough days will start when he gets arrested. That’s what you
get for a pretty face behind bars.”

Mom put a plate
of plain pancakes in front of Luca and turned to face Don. “Can’t
you shut up for once? At your age, you should think of your
heart!”

Ghost’s eyes
went wide at his father. Having Luca, who had been the victim of a
more powerful man for five long years, listen to that made him
cringe . “You did
not
just say that! I’ll make sure that
never happens.”

Don rolled his
eyes. “There he goes again. Saint Alex, protector of gays. You
gotta drop that sensitivity, boy, when you start prospecting
tomorrow.”

The last thing
Ghost wanted to hear now was talk about the Coffin Nails. “I’m not
too sensitive. I can deal with crap when I need to.” Wasn’t fucking
working in a war zone enough proof?

Luca sliced off
a neat piece of the pancake and put it in his mouth, seemingly
desperate to pretend he wasn’t there. All the excitement he’d
displayed only minutes ago had died down.

“And that’s a
skill you should use in a normal job,” said Mom, shoving a plate of
pancakes Ghost’s way.

“Is this really
how every day is gonna look like now? I actually think the
other
war zone was better, and I got
shot
there.”

“Fuck yes, it’s
gonna look like that, Prospect, so you better get used to it,” Don
said.

“I’m not a
prospect yet!” Ghost lost all appetite.

“And you
shouldn’t be at all!” Mom added as if he didn’t know her opinion
yet.

Ghost got up.
“I’m sorry, but this is just not a good environment for Luca. He’s
injured, stressed, and needs to rest.” Despite Luca being an
average-size guy, Ghost couldn’t help but think of him as this
precious prince who needed protection. He wanted to give Luca
everything he needed after the horrors he’d been through.

Don frowned.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“It means we’ll
be moving out.”

Mom put away
the pan and stared at him in shock. “But you have no money.”

Thanks,
mom.
“Tooth offered his guest room,” Ghost said.

Don growled and
slammed the newspaper against the table. “Can’t the gay boy go live
in the gay house?”

“It’s not a
‘gay house’, for fuck’s sake!” Ghost spread his arms in
desperation.

“Well, there’s
two guys who fuck each other living there, and they have three
cats. Sounds pretty fucking gay to me,” Don said.

Luca got up
from the table without a word, and Don followed him with his gaze.
“That’s right. Go. You should be happy I’m not having my boys take
care of you.”

Mom put the pan
into the sink, making other dishes clatter. “For fuck’s sake! Maybe
you’re the one who should move out until you cool down!”

Don snorted.
"Good one. It’s my house.”

Luca swallowed.
“Thank you for the food,” he said, even though he’d only eaten half
a pancake.

Ghost shook his
head at Don. “Don’t you dare sic anyone on him. If I find out, I’ll
show you what a ‘Saint’ I am.”

Don waved his
hand at Ghost. “You’ll show me shit.”

Ghost led Luca
out of the kitchen, ashamed of what he’d had to witness. They
walked up the stairs to the soundtrack of Mom yelling, and all
Ghost wanted was to take Luca someplace safe. And no place was
safer than Tooth’s house. Even Don wouldn’t dare touch Luca if he
had Tooth’s protection. After all, no one wanted to be on the bad
side of someone who was famous for ripping out people’s teeth.

When they
entered Ghost’s room, Luca spun around and pulled on the front of
the hoodie. “I’m so sorry. Maybe he’s right. Maybe I should stay
someplace else? I don’t want you to argue with your parents.”

“It’s their
problem. Tooth offered anyway. I thought it wouldn’t have to come
to this, but maybe they’ll cool off in a week or two. It’s not your
fault.” Ghost gave him a quick kiss. “Let’s get packing.”

Luca stared at
him for several seconds, but the smile was back on his face, as
radiant as ever. “You’re the sweetest guy in the world, you know
that?”

“Just trying my
best.” Ghost sighed, already knowing that his best wasn’t good
enough.

Ghost:
I can’t
stop looking at your picture.

Zara:
Stop
looking. Touch me.

Ghost:
… Would
it be weird if I turned on the webcam?

Chapter 9

Luca felt more
at ease as soon as they left Ghost’s house. He found it hard to
predict how many of Don’s threats were just that. With just a few
possessions and Nomad in the sidecar, they set out on a ride that
only took twenty minutes or so. The house they stopped at wasn’t
what Luca would have expected from a muscular gay biker dude like
Tooth.

It was big,
with a neat lawn, and a pair of elegant looking doors. More like
what he’d envision as a classy suburban family home than the lair
of someone as rough and rugged-looking. Was he the one to trim that
picture-perfect lawn?

They didn’t
have the time to knock before the door opened, revealing a young
man with a wide smile on his face.

“Tooth told me
you’re coming,” he said in a cheerful voice. He was lean and
compact, with hair that reached to his ass. The blond mane was
ridiculously smooth, as if he’d just stepped out of an ad for
expensive shampoo. Claudia Schiffer had nothing on him in that
department. The guy wore a pair of skinny jeans and a fitted
T-shirt with a skull print at the front. Before any of them could
answer, he leaned down and picked up a fat black cat, which settled
in its master’s arms with a low groan of approval. “You must be
Luca. Tooth told me you have a killer accent.”

Luca shook his
hand, overwhelmed by the friendly welcome. “Did he really say
that?”

Ghost laughed.
“I bet he didn’t.”

“Okay, he said
it was ‘foreign’.” The guy smiled, looking down at Nomad. “But I
can already hear it’s nice and sexy.” He wiggled his eyebrows.

Luca chuckled
and petted the dog. Ghost chose to keep Nomad on the leash, just in
case, because he seemed incredibly taken by Tooth’s pet. “That’s
me. Just ask him,” Luca said and nudged Ghost with his
shoulder.

Ghost’s eyes
went wide, and that was when Luca realized he shouldn’t have said
that.

“I’m Lucky, by
the way,” Lucky shook Luca’s hand. “So, Ghost, is he sexy?”

“I― yeah, I
suppose he’s an attractive man,” Ghost mumbled.

Luca cleared
his throat. “It was just a joke. Sorry.” He glanced at Lucky and
introduced himself as well. He was so incredibly grateful to this
stranger for taking them in and had yet to think of a way to repay
Lucky for his kindness.

Luca’s eyes
strayed to Ghost, and he couldn’t help but notice the tension in
that handsome face. Was Ghost very upset with him for suggesting
the possibility of attraction in front of another person? Just
thinking of it put Luca on the edge.

Lucky made some
small talk with them as they went into the house with their sparse
luggage. Nomad followed close by, finally released from the
leash.

And there was
much to explore. The first floor consisted mostly of a huge living
room and the open plan kitchen. There were band posters on the
walls in neat frames, lots of healthy looking plants, big mirrors
in unusual places, and Luca couldn’t spot even a speck of dust
anywhere. The interior was modern and quite classy, but with a
casual feel to the space. And it wasn’t a luxury home either.
Clearly, someone―most likely Lucky―dedicated lots of time and
effort into thinking the decoration through.

“Do you want to
eat something?” Lucky put the cat down on a table and gave them a
bright smile. “I have the room ready for you upstairs. It’s gonna
be so awesome for you to be staying here. We have to do a party to
celebrate you prospecting.” He turned around to face the
fridge.
