Sarah smiled sheepishly, and then she searched Dave’s face. “I’ve never done this before.”
Dave chuckled. “Neither have I—we can take it slow,” he urged.
Frowning, Sarah turned skeptical. “Can we? Are you sure?”
Dave gave her an eager nod and wet his lips. “You’re worth it,” he said with a swallow gasp. “I want you to be comfortable every step of the way.”
A loud and unnatural cough interrupted their connection. Sarah searched for the sound and saw a mother sitting with a toddler across the lobby. She smiled weakly at the woman and offered a nod she knew wouldn’t be returned.
“I guess our PDA is making someone uncomfortable,” Sarah mumbled.
“I don’t care,” Dave pulled her back into a kiss, one she couldn’t fight. She leaned into his body and felt her head becoming weightless. Her knees grew weak. When Dave pulled back for a breath, she felt like she had risen to the stratosphere where the air was too thin. Each breath was too short and too small; she couldn’t get enough.
“Do you,” Sarah faltered, fumbling with words to form a coherent thought, “dinner,” was all that she could manage.
Dave nodded and smiled. “Dinner sounds great.”
“With Ruth? My house?”
Dave laughed and continued to nod. “I’d love that, Sarah. In fact,” he paused, “I don’t want to scare you, or anything, but I’m pretty sure that I’d love to spend every night having dinner with you and Ruth.” Dave searched her face.
“I love you in a way I can’t explain,” Dave managed. “And I worried that I almost lost you forever. At this point,” he chuckled sheepishly, “I just don’t understand the reasoning to wait.”
Sarah frowned. “To wait for what?”
“To marry you, silly,” Dave laughed. Sarah touched her heart, but she wasn’t repulsed.
“I thought you said we could take it slow?”
Dave’s eyes twinkled and he chortled with excitement. “Well, I can marry you, and then we can take it slow. The whole rest of our lives slow. One day at a time type of slow.”
Sarah giggled. “I think that’s a bit backwards, but,” she shrugged, “I don’t mind.” Dave tightened his grip around her body. When their lips met this time, Sarah knew that this choice was right. Maybe logically someone could make a case against it, but for the first time since Adam had left her world, she finally felt whole again. She wasn’t going to give up that feeling for anything and she welcomed it wholeheartedly into her life with open arms.

Reviews are the most powerful tools in my arsenal when it comes to getting attention for my books. Much as I'd like to, I don't have the financial muscle of a New York publisher. I can't take out full page ads in the newspaper or put posters on the subway.
(At least not yet, anyways!)
But I do have something much more powerful and effective than that, and it's something that those publishers would kill to get their hands on.
A committed and loyal bunch of readers.
Honest reviews of my books help bring them to the attention of other readers.
If you've enjoyed this book I would be very grateful if you could spend just two minutes leaving a review (it can be as short as you like) on the books Amazon page. You can go right to the page by clicking below.

Thank you SO much.
I am just your typical girl. I love Starbucks, sunsets, and yoga. I dream of meeting my prince charming, and having him sweep me off my feet. I dream of one day having children, and raising them to be all that they can be (and more!). I love people, and I love life! I hope that through my writing I can spread just a little bit of that love into the lives of those I may never meet. My work isn't perfect, but it is sincere. It is heartfelt, and it is deep. I express how I feel, what I feel, and what I want to feel through my writing, and I don't know what I would do without it. The mere fact that I am able to share that with the rest of the world is simply a bonus, and I truly hope that my writing makes you happy.
