Kat turned and put her hands up above the window frame. I positioned myself behind her before entering. In the yard behind us a man was mowing the lawn. Kat said nothing as I began fucking her right there, where he could have seen at any moment. I reached forward, pinching her nipples and holding them in place while rocking my stiff erection in and out repeatedly. Then I reached between her legs, giving her little clit some undivided attention. I shoved her against the glass, pushing her tits on the hard surface. It fogged up where her face was close, only reminding me of the temperature inside the small area.

Kat cried out again, fueling my own release. My knees became weak, almost buckling. The more she cried the tighter her walls became. “That’s it, Kat. Smother me with that pussy.”

She screamed so loud I bet that neighbor could hear. It was so awesome. When we were done I turned her around, shoving my lips against hers. I entered her again, almost forcing my way in between her legs again. She was still trying to recover, but I couldn’t hold it. The harder I pushed the more she accepted. I couldn’t stop. It was quite literally the hottest sexual experience to date.

I kissed her once I was able to catch my breath. “God, I love you.”

She was quite comfortable leaning against my soaked body. “I love you, too.”

Chapter 45

We’d been at
my parent’s house for days, and I don’t think any of us had ever been happier. Kat’s problems seemed like a distant memory, and our time together was only proving how our time apart had made our love stronger.

The best part of every day was waking up seeing my little girl. Her smile made me weak, and when she called me her daddy I felt like the luckiest man in the world.

By the time Friday came around I could tell Kat was beginning to worry about Branch and Melissa’s visit. The last time either of us had seen them was the night before Kat was supposed to wed Branch. I could imagine she had a lot of things she wanted to say to him, but wondered if it was the same for him. I hadn’t spoken to my brother in the years I’d been away. Sure, he’d sent cards, but I had no interest in being his buddy. He’d cost me too much. Now that I had it back, I didn’t know what to say to him.

“Kat, how long are you going to sit there? That bathing suit isn’t going to put itself on, and if I have to stare at you in that towel for much longer, we’re going to have a bigger and much harder problem.” I pointed to my genitals as I walked over and kissed her head. “Look, I know you’re nervous. It’s one night and then they’ll be gone.”

“Am I allowed to hurt him?”

I laughed while grabbing the top to her two-piece and started putting it on her. “For the sake of my parents, let’s try to be on our best behavior. When they go to leave tomorrow, you can run out and do whatever you want to both of them. I’ll cover you.”

She seemed please with that idea. “I don’t know what I’d do without you. In one week you’ve changed my whole life. How is this even possible?”

“You weren’t the only one who was miserable. If you’d seen the things that I’ve seen, you wouldn’t want to live in the past either. Kat, we have a daughter now. I’m trying not to lose my man-card here, but I want us to work. When we go home, we’re together. We’ll have a lot to deal with, but we’ll do it as a team. People aren’t going to understand. They’re not going to like that you’re kicking your husband out and moving me in, but that’s exactly what’s going to happen. I’m not letting either of you out of my sight. The moment he laid a hand on you was when I lost respect for him. My daughter will not go anywhere near him and he can thank himself for that.”

“It’s still hard to believe.”

I got down on my knees to assist her in putting on the bottoms. “No, it’s not. Tell me this - when I came back the first time for the wedding, how long did it take you to realize that you were with the wrong brother?”

I could tell she didn’t have to think hard about it. “You know the answer.”

“Humor me, woman.”

“I supposed I knew it even before I saw you. I remember standing there watching for you to get out of a cab in your fatigues. My heart was racing and I couldn’t calm myself down. Then when I saw you for the first time, it was like the whole room disappeared except for me and you. Fighting those feelings was impossible for me. I knew I was making a mistake, but I couldn’t figure a way out of it.”

I stood back up and pulled her against me. “I was on the airplane with this old couple. They kept thanking me for risking my life for my country. About halfway through the elderly lady asked if I was married. I sat there with two strangers, and told them all about the girl I’d loved my whole life, and how she was marrying my twin brother.” I shook my head and chuckled. “I was so messed up in my head that day. I’d thought about what I wanted to say to you a million times. It was shocking when that old woman, who’d been married for more than half her life, told me I had to stop the wedding. She said I’d never forgive myself if I didn’t tell you how I really felt. When I got out of the cab and saw you standing there, I knew I was going after you. Something inside of me snapped. There was no way I could let you go through with it without telling you everything. I didn’t do it to get you into my bed. That part happened on its own. Obviously, in making love to you that night, we made the most beautiful little girl. I could tell you that we’re together because of her, but it would be a lie. I wanted you back the minute I saw you on the army base, I just needed to be mad first. I felt so betrayed and hurt. For my whole life I’d thought Branch was keeping us apart. Then I found out you were married to someone else.”

Kat put her arms around my neck. “Can I be honest about something?”

I nodded. I was prepared for anything she had to say. It wasn’t like I had to worry about her not wanting to be with me. She’d run out of reasons to shut me out. We needed each other.

“I could lie and tell you that I would have been faithful in my marriage, to be honorable. The thing is, the second I knew you were alive was when I knew for certain that I was fighting a losing battle with my heart. If you’d have come on to me in those first five seconds, with my husband standing right there, I don’t think I could have pushed you away. I felt like it was a miracle; like you’d come back from the dead to save me from myself.”

For a few seconds we just sat there staring at each other. It was like we didn’t need to say words to know what the other was thinking. As intense as it felt the doorbell snapped us both back to reality.

Kat put a dress on over her swimsuit.

B was coming at us, running full-force. I picked her up and spun her around. I could tell Kat was a nervous wreck, but at least our little one didn’t have a care in the world. She was so high on life that one couldn’t help from smiling when they got around her.

Kat was pretty comedic as we waited for them to come into the living room. I could hear them talking to my parents, knowing at any second my twin would round the corner. I didn’t know what she was thinking, but she climbed on top of me and started kissing me. I literally had to push her off. “You’re being bad.”

She was grinning until they appeared. Then I watched her silliness vanish.

I stood up first, making sure Kat was behind me. In all honesty I wasn’t sure if she was going to pounce. I knew, probably more than me, that she had major issues with all of his lies. The fact that he’d hid being sterile was just the icing on the cake. She was livid. He’d cost us so much time apart. For me, I didn’t care anymore. I’d do anything to be with Kat even if that included waiting for her to divorce a husband she didn’t love. Yeah, all of it derived from my brother’s actions, but I couldn’t exactly divorce him.

When I first looked at my brother I wanted to laugh. In the years that I’d been away he’d changed. He looked older, but thin, while I’d grown strong. If I would have thrown a punch he may have died. That’s how much of a difference there was.

B came running out from around the corner and everyone looked at her. She froze when she saw me and then another man that looked pretty similar. Branch didn’t have to say anything because the shock was written on his face. He took off his glasses and peered down at my beautiful daughter. “You’ve got to be kidding me?”

“Her name is Brooklyn after her father.” Kat’s tone left nothing to the imagination. She was rubbing it in big time.

Branch looked down and scratched his head. When he looked back at Kat, he held out his arms. “I think we’re here to make amends, Katy.”

She didn’t respond to his gesture.

Melissa seemed just as shell-shocked. Everyone stood there silent for a few seconds. Then B went running toward my mom. “Mom-mom, yook.”

She pointed to Branch.

My mom scooped her up. “B, this is your uncle. His name is Branch. Can you say Branch?”

“Banch.”

Branch laughed, and then he did something that neither of us would have expected. He held his arms out for her. “Hey, little cutie. Come here and say hi.”

She peeked over my mom’s shoulder to look at me. I smiled and motioned that it was okay. We watched her, being taken into Branch’s arms. He hugged her with more love and affection than I’d ever seen him have. I put my arm around Kat and kissed her on the top of the head. My brother, who was still in awe over her, finally looked in our direction. “She’s beautiful.”

B made it all easier. Melissa and Branch were captivated by her, and she seemed just as interested in them.

Kat finally spoke to her old friend. “It’s been a long time, Mel.”

They then hugged. “I missed you so much, Katy.” It was nice to see her relaxing. I knew this was something she’d really been upset about.

“I missed you, too. Obviously a lot has happened.”

“It’s nice to see you, Branch,” Kat stated while looking at my brother. It was weird how I didn’t feel threatened at all. The truth was finally out. I had my girl, and nothing would take her away from me.

“I don’t get a hug?” He asked.

Kat was brutally honest. “I’m not ready for that yet.”

Branch let out an air-filled laugh. “It’s okay. I guess we all need to warm up to each other.”

“Yeah, something like that.”

I pinched Kat on her back. “Don’t mind her. She’s gotten bitter in her old age. I think it has something to do with motherhood.”

“Am I the only one here that thinks this is completely insane?” Kat was losing her cool while I cracked jokes.

Branch laughed. “It’s only weird if we make it that way, Katy. Look, we’ve all moved on now and clearly it’s for the best. Whatever you have against me needs to be worked out. We were a family before, and we’re even more of a family now. Look, Mel and I are getting married. You’ve got a kid that I don’t think any of us knew about. You’re obviously with my brother now. We wouldn’t have come today if we knew it was going to make you so mad. If it makes you happy, we can leave.”

Kat looked around the room at everyone who clearly loved her. She seemed conflicted. Then I saw that look I recognized too well. Before I could stop her she said what was on her mind. “You’re right. I’m sorry. I’m sorry for what I did. I’m sorry for lying about my feelings. I’m sorry for hurting everyone in this room, especially Brooks. All of this could have been avoided if none of you ever loved me.” When she was finished she hauled ass upstairs.

“Are you going to go after her?” Branch asked me.

“She’s not mad at me. Just give her a second to calm down. This is a lot for her.”

“What about you?” He asked. “You have a freaking kid. What’s up with that?”

I looked over at my daughter. “Yeah, about that. Before you get all excited for me, I think you may want to know when she was conceived.”

It took him a second. “No way? You’ve got to be joking.”

“I’m not.”

“Who found who?” He wondered.

“She wrote me first. Then I wrote her back. Then I wrote some more. Then I moved to South Carolina.”

Branch held up his hand. “Okay, I get the gist.”

“I think you should go up and check on her.” My suggestion made Branch seem uncomfortable.

“Is she going to stab me with something?”

“Maybe.”

He whispered something to Melissa before heading for the stairs. “If she gives me a black eye I’m going to be pissed.”

“You deserve it,” I said before his body disappeared up the steps.

One way or another Kat was about to get a dose of Branch. They needed to have it out, once and for all. If he said something to piss her off I knew she could handle herself.
