I flashed Edwin a quick look, only to find that he was
equally as stunned by Hunter's high spirits when Maddie returned to the table.
I had seen that look before.  It was the same look he gave Aliah the first day
we met.  Trouble was a brewing.

"What’s up?" Edwin whispered in my ear, knowing
something was wrong.

"Ally's in love with Hunter, but she never had a chance
to tell him.  She was gonna tell him tonight.  That's why she reacted the way
she did earlier.  She was already devastated, and now this?"

"She had her chance.  Maybe he doesn't feel the same.
He seems to be having a good time with Maddie," Edwin said, then kissed my
temple.  "What's it gonna take for me to get back that attention of yours?"

I smiled softly and kissed his luscious, wet lips.

"That's more like it," he growled, before kissing
me again.

"We gonna drink these or what?" Maddie hollered.
She was standing next to me, smiling, not at all bothered by our affection.
Suddenly she was all confidence and comfort, which is probably exactly why
Hunter was so attracted to her.  It was likely the same thing that attracted
him to Aliah.

Edwin slid a shot glass my way and lifted his toward Hunter
nodding his head.  He gently tapped his glass against mine and then we all slammed
it down in one gulp.  The music was still bumping, but the drinks were starting
to catch up to me.  Once I was sure the drink was going to stay down, I locked
my eyes on Edwin’s.

"I take it you're ready to call it a night," Edwin
said laughing.

I nodded, only because I wanted some alone time with him.

"We're gonna get going.  Are you guys ready to go?"
Edwin hollered.

Damn!

"Yeah," Hunter said, standing from his seat.

Double damn!

The place was still packed, as Edwin led the way through the
mellow crowd.  I don't know why it surprised me when I caught Hunter accepting Maddie's
hand when she reached it to him.  I looked up into Edwin's eyes and smiled, trying
hard to be ignorant to what was going on behind us.

As we entered the long hallway and walked toward the exit, I
saw Kane chatting with a bouncer.

"Hey, you guys came.  What did I say?"

Edwin and Hunter shared handshakes with him, giving me the
opportunity to tug Maddie away.

"We're just gonna run to the bathroom real quick.  We'll
meet you outside," I told Edwin, then dragged Maddie off with me.

"But I don't have to go pee," she said.

"I don't care."  I eyed the long line up stretching
outside of the washroom.  "I just want to know whether you know what
you're doing here," I said.

"Going to the washroom?" she said sarcastically.

"Starting a war with Aliah."

She rolled her eyes.  "The war is over.  I've won fair
and square.  She blew it.  Her problem, not mine."

I gave her a sideways glance.  "Don’t give me that.  I
know you're not that cruel; so stop acting like you are."

"You have no idea Abby.  What you and Edwin have... I
want that.  With Hunter."

"You're playing with fire.”

"You know I like it hot, and Aliah’s the only one here
who’s gonna get burned," she said selfishly, returning to her old
backstabbing self.

"Maddie, you know Ally's my best friend and I don't want
to see her get hurt," I paused, taking a deep breath, "but Hunter is
a big boy and I respect whatever he decides."

"Thank you for your blessing Abby.  That means a lot."

"Oh, is that what you thought that was?  Hardly.  You're
not gonna get my blessing little slutty," I said.

She giggled and turned her eyes to the floor.

"You do what you will, that's not my business.  I'm
staying out of it.  It'll be Aliah's wrath that you'll have to deal with later,
not mine," I said.

"I can handle Aliah.”

I sighed.  "Okay, I'll leave it alone then."

At last, we reached the front of the line.  Before exiting my
stall, I removed my panties and stuffed them into my small purse.  Edwin
deserved a reward.

After drying my hands, Maddie yanked me from the washroom with
her arm hooked in mine and pulled me toward the door, self-assured and happy.  Men
hooted and hollered at us, as we walked down the hall.  Suddenly feeling
incredibly vulnerable, I wished I hadn't removed my panties.  A pair of guys
pulled away from the group and stalked up closely behind us, coaxing us to go
home with them.

"Screw off," Maddie hollered.

We hurried for the exit, knowing that if they had balls
enough to follow us outside, they would be scared off fast when they saw the
two beefy men we had waiting for us there.  Maddie let me go, and crossed the threshold,
as one of the guys caught up to me.  He clutched onto my shoulder and yanked me
back into the darkened hall.  I stumbled backward falling hard against him.
His grubby hand molested my breast, before I could react.

"Ugh!" I screamed.

"Oh yeah, you'll do just nice," he said, his voice
as slimy as his hair.

As I tried to catch my balance, I felt his cold, cracked and
calloused hand creep up my inner thigh.  I instantly jabbed my elbow into his
gut and stomped his foot with my long skinny heel.  He slumped to his knees on
the dingy floor, hollering angrily and crying in pain, as I darted for the
door.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
~

AFTER
ESCAPING THE STEAMY club, Maddie led me quickly and silently away, speeding
straight down the sidewalk to where Hunter and Edwin were waiting for us.

"You okay?" she whispered.

I nodded, panicked and yet relieved that she was going to keep
her mouth shut.  Had she reacted differently, I would've been a teary-eyed mess
for sure.  The only thing holding me together was the notion that if Edwin
found out what had happened, he’d go back in there, find the slime ball that
touched me and make him apologize for what he'd done, and then he’d beat him to
a bloody pulp, or worse.

Despite all the night's drama, it was our last as far as this
vacation goes and the night was almost over.  I wanted to make it a memorable
one.  I wished there were some way to make the night last, wipe out the
depravity and reinvest in the flame that was burning good and strong between
Edwin and I this morning in the meadow.

"It's such a beautiful night out, eh?" Hunter asked
Maddie thoughtfully.

"Way too nice to call it a night!  What can we do?"
she asked him, going for coy.

"We can go hang out at the beach, if you want,"
Edwin suggested.

"Right on," Hunter said.

I shrugged my shoulders indecisively.  I didn’t want to share
Edwin and I doubted that Maddie wanted us to tag along with them either.

"We'll catch up to you guys.  You go on ahead,"
Edwin said, his eyes reaching mine.

Edwin slung his arms loosely over my shoulders, his nose
touching mine.  "What's up Abs?  You're not worrying about Aliah again are
you?"

Without a need for words, after shoving my panties in Edwin's
pants pocket, I kissed him on the nose and walked off for the beach.  I glanced
back as he checked his pocket to catch his reaction, his smile, priceless, when
he realized I was sauntering away without panties.

"Wait up guys," I called to Hunter and Maddie, as I
hurriedly caught up to them, smirk firmly in place.

When we reached the sand, Maddie and I removed our shoes and
we walked down the long sandy beach toward the water.  The only light was that
from the headlights of a vehicle leaving the barren parking lot nearby.  When the
car was gone, darkness enveloped us.

"I want to walk up the beach," Maddie hollered back
to Hunter, as she ran toward the swelling waves, peaceful and carefree.

Hunter followed after her, and I as I started to follow suit,
Edwin stopped me and pulled me into his possessive arms.

"My feet are kind of sore," Edwin said, smirking.  "We're
just gonna hang out here," he hollered, his eyes locked on mine.

"Okay, we'll meet you back at the resort," Hunter
called back, without another glance.

I slipped my eyes off of Edwin long enough to watch Maddie
kick her foot into an oncoming wave, intentionally splashing water at Aliah's
man.  She ran off giggling, so Hunter would chase her.  That he did, and it was
officially out of my hands.

"If you took a seat in the sand, it would be more
convincing you know," I teased.  Not that we needed an excuse to stay
back.  They understood, being caught up in their own
whatever you want to
call it
to notice us anyway.

Taking Edwin by surprise, only because I was too drunk to
care, I plopped down in the sand, being extra careful to keep my legs
together.  So one outfit might not make it out of the weekend alive, it's worth
it.  I leaned back to look up at Edwin, the backdrop a gorgeous night sky.

He dropped to his knees and hovered over me smiling, before
he braced my neck and kissed me long and soft.  Joining me in the cool sand, he
wrapped his arm around my core, propping me against him, back to chest.  I took
a deep breath of the fresh open air, leaned my head back against his shoulder,
and listened to the noisy peace of the powerful waves crashing onto the sandy
beach.

There seemed to be a few others lingering in the darkness, known
only from the random hoot or giggle in the distance.  At such an hour, it could
only be assumed that the others were either utterly in love, like us, or had
other naughty intentions, also like us.  The beach was massive and after a few
minutes of total darkness and silence, it felt like we were totally alone.

Edwin caressed up and down my arm, incredibly subtle and totally
hot.  It drove me wild, reminding me that I was minimally clothed and it was
just the two of us.

Being bold, I hiked my skirt and straddled Edwin's lap facing
him.  "I know what you want," I said, provoking him.

"Do you now?" he replied, with a slanted smile that
hit me right between the thighs.

"I'm not that kind of girl," I said, teasing,
touching.  The warm summer wind breezed through my dark hair and my fingers
rested on Edwin’s irresistible lips.

He kissed them, his lips trailing down from my neck, and brushed
across my taut nipple.  His mouth was hot and wet when it closed over it,
soaking through the barely there fabric, the only thing separating his tongue
from my skin.  I shivered as he blew a breath over me.  He nipped and sucked
gently, then slowly made his way back up to my neck, my chin, until his lips
finally devoured mine, steady and sure.  I slipped my hand between us and found
him primed and ready for me, harder than ever.  I stroked his length and he
moaned into my mouth.  His hands found their way under my skirt and skimmed my
bare skin, making me tremble in anticipation.

I took my time popping his fly, as he kissed me everywhere
but my mouth.  Strained for space, I slowly unzipped his pants and tugged on
his Calvin's.  He sprang from his clothes and I clasped on, stroking him, warm
and rigid.  He tugged my dress below my breasts and, as his tongue teased my
nipple, my head fell back, giving him full reign.

It startled me when his hands gripped onto my behind and he
lifted me on top him.  I gasped on a moan.  When did he slip on that rubber?  He
filled me, with one stroke, tight and warm.  Hands clenched on my naked hips, he
pressed me down onto him, thrusting himself deeper inside me.  His strong,
capable hands rounded to my rear, setting the pace, rocking me at a steady
tempo.  I knew we were in public and I still couldn't stop the incessant moaning.
It felt too good to stop.  Edwin chuckled, proud and amused, as I came undone
in his lap.

“Oh, Eddie,” I shouted.  As heat coiled around me, I threw my
head back and screamed out, not feeling at all comprised with my dress bunched
around my waist, as deliciously violent tremors rocked through me.

Consumed with the tightening sensation, Edwin jerked me faster
and harder and deeper, and I could see his own climax on the horizon.  Another heat
swirled inside me and Edwin, cupping my neck, pressed my mouth with hot, hard
kisses.  I shivered with the awareness of the clenching, dragging me deeper
into the abyss, as Edwin deepened the kiss, his tongue slipping along my teeth,
dancing with my tongue.  He swallowed my moan as another climax dragged me toward
the swirling darkness, Edwin ready to crash right behind me.

“Yes baby,” he groaned.  His hand was tangled in my loose
tousled hair as a tidal wave of sensations made me gasp and convulse and Edwin
filled me with his powerful release.

Staying incredibly still for a moment, our hearts thumped in
magical harmony, and then Edwin lied back in the sand.  After a moment frozen
in time, he kissed me.

"I love you Abs."

I adjusted my dress and rolled off of him, lying at his side in
the sand.  "That's just your penis talking."

He laughed.  “He loves you too, but I assure you this is
coming from my heart."  He sighed, and turned on his side, smoothing his
hand down my arm.  “Trust me.  You’re the only girl in my world,” he said
smoothly, gazing into my eyes.
