A leader of a wealthy sheep-herding tribe in the Hijaz whom al-Tabari calls, “Abu Rafi the Jew”. This assassination occurs at the usual hour—night-- after Abu Rafi entertains guests for dinner, then goes upstairs to sleep with his family. The tale is rich in details and in the use of the weapons Mohammed encouraged in war: lies and deception. The story also includes the usual “then I hit him [with my sword] and covered him with wounds, but could not kill him, so I thrust the point of my sword into his stomach until it came out through his back. At that I knew I had killed him.” al-Tabari. The History of al Tabari English translation of "at Tareekh al Tabari". Volume VII: The Foundation of the Community. Translated by M.V. McDonald. Albany: State University of New York Press, 1987: pp. 99-101.

Ruhollah Khomeini,
Islam and Revolution: Writings and Declarations of Imam Khomeini
, Hamid Algar trans., Mizan Press, Berkeley, California, 1981, pp. 35, 219. Khomeini's view of Christ may become a little clearer if you realize that standard Islamic doctrine asserts the Old and New Testament are insidious corruptions of God's word, and that these perversions were later "corrected" by the Qur’an.
