Ricochet (14 page)

“What are you doing?” he asked when he
found me.

“I don’t know. You seem upset with me.
You seemed like you wanted to be left alone,” I lamented.

“Why would I be upset with you?” he
asked.

“I’m not sure. But
you made a big scene slamming the bedroom door and shit,” I explained.

“I’m just upset, I’m not upset with you.
I’m upset that this happened. That’s all. You had a bad feeling and wanted to
leave and I made you stay and I feel like shit about it. If I wouldn’t have
made you stay none of this would have happened,” he said.

“It’s not your fault. It’s no one’s
fault. It’s no one’s fault but Hunter’s for being a fucking creep,” I ventured.

“I’m supposed to go out to the cabin
with my brother next week. I kind of want to cancel, I don’t want to leave you
here alone,” he persisted. I shrugged my shoulders.

“I really don’t think it’s that kind of
situation,” I said, rolling my eyes.

“It probably isn’t. I don’t know. I’m
on edge,” he said, running his hand through his hair and pacing.

“What can I do to help take you off
edge?” I teased.

“I don’t know. Come
home, for starters. Don’t sit alone in the dark in your empty apartment,” he
sighed.

“Okay. I’m sorry. I think we both need
a distraction. Let’s go move some furniture around,” I suggested.

“No, why? That sounds terrible. I like
where all of my furniture is. I don’t want to do that,” he laughed.

“Not your furniture. My furniture. So
we can get into the closet and the dresser and relocate their contents so we
don’t have to use electrical tape next time,” I hinted.

“Are you sure you want to do that?
After what just happened?” Cash bleated.

“Jesus Christ. I’m not like, fucking,
traumatized. Nothing even happened. Besides, I didn’t say you were going to get
to use any of it on me. Just that we could get it ready and accessible for next
time,” I insisted.

“Fair enough,” he chuckled, “come
on.”

I hopped out of the windowsill
and took his outstretched hand. I followed him back to the apartment and into
the guest room. We pushed all of my crap out into the hallway except my couch,
which Cash sat on as I decided which instruments looked fun and which looked
scary. I grabbed a plastic tote leftover from my move and tossed in the tools I
wanted to take back to our bedroom.

“This looks like it could be
interesting,” I said, holding up a leather collar with chains and loops.

“Uh, no. That can stay in here,” Cash
insisted.

“Why? I feel like I could totally get
into getting dragged around the bed on a leash, kind of pull on it while you’re
fucking me from behind. I could definitely-“

“Yeah, I could get into that too,” Cash
interrupted, “But no. The collar is like a symbolic thing. Marking my
ownership. Like the necklace I made Claire wear that time, I don’t own you I
don’t want to put you in a collar.”

“Thanks, I guess,” I scoffed, tossing
the collar back into the closet. He could have explained that without
mentioning Claire. Although, my ex did just pull way crazier shit than she did.
I still didn’t want to hear her name. I shut the closet door and moved over to
the dresser. I tossed a few vibrators into the tote and opened the next drawer.

“I don’t understand butt plugs. It’s
the unsexiest name of any sex toy, ever. Why do you have eighty of them? And
this one has to be novelty sized, right?” I asked, laughing.

“Have you ever used one?” Cash asked.

“No, I really don’t see the point. I’ve
never really had interest in them, at all,” I admitted.

“They have a lot of points. First of
all, they’re great during sex, for you, and for me. They add a lot of
interesting pressure and create new sensations. They are also fun for foreplay.
It keeps sex on your mind. Like if you put one in and just wear it while we’re
sitting on the couch, or wear one out to dinner, every time you shift in your
seat or take a step you’ll be reminded of what’s going to happen later and it
keeps you wet,” he explained. I cleared my throat.

“Okay, so I’m starting to see that they
might have some appeal. But I’m not really that into the sensation of anal, I
still don’t think I’d like that,” I offered.

“It’s a completely different sensation
though. It’s probably the friction that you don’t like about anal sex. These
are like the fullness and pressure without the friction. Pick one out and bring
it here, let’s try it,” he suggested. I shrugged my shoulders and picked out
the smallest, least offensive hunk of silicone. Cash pulled a small bottle of
lube out of his pocket.

“You just keep lube in your pocket?” I
teased.

“You hinted at the possibility of
drunken bathroom booty. I didn’t want to have to resort to whatever scented
lotion or hair conditioner we could find,” he laughed.

“Fair enough. What do you want me to
do?” I asked.

“Come bend over my lap,” he prompted,
scooting to the edge of the sofa.

“Bend over your lap?” I scoffed.

“Yeah, bend over my lap. Like you’ve
been a bad girl and are about to get a spanking,” he ordered. I trembled and
complied. I sank to the floor at his side and draped myself across his knees.
He lifted my dress and pulled my thong aside. I gasped as he laid a firm smack
across my exposed backside. He squirted lube from the bottle onto my skin and
rubbed it around with his finger, pressing lightly on my hole. I breathed
deeply and relaxed, letting him enter. He pulled his finger out and inserted
the tip of the plug. It was wider than his finger and met resistance.

“Stay relaxed,” he whispered, stroking
my hair. I took another deep breath as the widest part of the toy breached my
body and it popped into place. My body pulsed as Cash reached down to stroke my
clit. I rolled my hips, and my breathing grew heavy.

“Not bad, right?” he asked.

“Well, it’s not… it’s not terrible,” I
breathed. He stopped stroking me and led me to get up. I stood and he pulled my
hips towards him, ushering me to straddle his lap. He guided my hips to grind
against him as he kissed me. He reached between my legs and slid his fingers
across my pussy. He found the string to my tampon and gave it a small tug.

“Nope. Stop,” I choked, shooing his
hands away.

“I’m sorry,” he laughed, “I just really
want to be inside you.”

“I want you inside me, too,” I groaned,
pressing my head into his chest, “It’s just so messy.”

“Let’s go fuck in the shower. It will
all wash right down the drain,” he suggested.

“Yeah, okay. Fine,” I conceded, kicking
off my heels. I headed towards the bathroom, climbing over the furniture in the
hall, Cash following. I tried to go in alone and close the door.

“I need in there, too,” he laughed.

“Just… just give me a minute,” I yelped,
pushing him back out.

“I want to pull the string,” Cash
snickered as I closed the door.

“I’m going to change my mind if you don’t
stop being gross,” I shouted.

I draped my dress over the doorknob and
jumped under the running water. I called for Cash to come in. He quickly pulled
off his clothes and joined me in the shower.

“Fuck, do I need a condom since you
forgot your birth control?” he asked, as he pushed me against the wall and
kissed my neck.

“Probably, but just pull out it’ll be
fine,” I assured him. He grabbed my hips and spun me away from him. I braced
myself on the wall as he pressed into me. He slid two fingers inside of me and
gently wrapped his other hand around my throat. I could feel his erection
pressing into the small of my back; the height difference was going to be an
issue. I turned and sank to my knees, taking him into my mouth. Water beat down
on my back as I sucked his dick like I was trying to drain his soul from his
body.

“Stop,” he gasped as he pushed my head
away and joined me on his knees on the floor of the tub.

“Why?” I asked, wrapping my arms around
his neck.

“Because, I was about to come,” he
replied, pulling me into a kiss. He twisted my hips to motion that I should
turn around. I faced away from him on my hands and knees. I cried out as he
pushed himself inside of me. The sensation of having both holes filled made my
limbs shake. His thrusts began dislodging the plug, and he pressed on it with
his thumb to keep it in place. He reached under me with his free hand to rub my
clit. My body pulsed. My arms became weak and buckled; I dropped my head to the
floor. He pulled my hips up, scooting me backwards. Every muscle on my body
tensed and released, tensed and released. Cash began twisting the plug,
removing it as I climaxed. He drove his dick in its place, and I felt him throb
as he came. He pulled out quickly and stood. He held out his hand to help me
up. I was shaking.

“Sorry,” he laughed, holding me to his
chest.

“Warn a bitch,” I stammered. The water
was growing cold. We rinsed off quickly. Cash hopped out first and brought me
clothes from the dryer, which he had restarted while waiting to gain entrance
to the bathroom so they’d be warm after our shower. This made me smile stupidly.
We pushed all of my crap out of the hallway and back into the bedroom. I
carried the tote of toys into Cash’s closet and met him on the couch. I
snuggled into his side.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” he asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Stop asking me that
every thirty seconds. Anyway, I had to request off Monday for my doctor’s
appointment. I guess I’ll go talk to Diana about getting out of my lease,” I
stated, changing the subject.

“What time are you trying to go down
there? I’ll take off too,” Cash offered.

“You really don’t need to do that. I’m
not actually going to let you pay out my lease. I don’t feel like being
indebted to you for thousands of dollars,” I laughed.

“But, if I come, I don’t think she’s
gonna actually make you pay. Between you and me, I think that-“

“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Diana wants to fuck
you. I picked up on that. Gross,” I scoffed.

“Eh. What’s the point of being young
and attractive if you can’t exploit it for financial gain,” he teased.

“You know, that’s exactly what my
college roommate said before she decided to drop out and become a stripper,” I
quipped back. Cash shrugged and kissed me.

“You’ve only got, what, two, three
months left on your lease?” he asked.

“Two,” I replied.

“Well. I don’t think we’ll have an
issue getting her to let you out two months early. And you wouldn’t exactly be
indebted to me for thousands of dollars over two months rent,” he said, rolling
his eyes.

“Well, I had to pay first and last when
I moved in, so it would really only be one month I’d have to pay out, right?” I
asked.

“Yeah. See, it’s fine. I’m going to
bed, it’s like three AM. You coming?” he asked as he stood, rubbing his eyes.

Monday morning we went to talk to
Diana. Cash flirted, it was disgusting, she let me out of my lease with no
penalty. He teased me about it relentlessly. I’m steadfast in my opinion that
it is not something to be proud of. I left Cash in the lobby and headed towards
my appointment to get stabbed in the ass cheek by a needle to prevent unwanted
pregnancy. I returned home to find Cash arguing on the phone.

“No, man. I’m not… because! I don’t
want to! It shouldn’t require… because. Fuck, dude. No…. Alright! Fine! Yeah.
Okay. But…” he paused as he became aware of my presence, “We’ll talk later. But
yeah, I guess. I fucking hate you. Bye.”

“Was that your brother?” I asked.

“Yeah, how’d you guess?” Cash laughed.

“Sounds just like the last argument I
walked in on at your mom’s. What did he talk you into?” I queried.

“Nothing. It’s-“

“Don’t pull that ‘nothing’ shit. From
where I’m standing you both look super fucking shady. Why can’t you just tell
me?” I whined.

“He just... he wanted me to score some
blow for our trip,” he sighed.

“Where are you going to get it?” I
asked.

“I know a person,” he replied,
dismissively.

“It’s not, like…
that
person, is it?” I accused.

“What person?” he challenged.

“You know who I’m talking about. Don’t
make me say the name,” I groaned.

“Voldemort? Are we talking about
Voldemort?” he teased.

“No, damn it, I’m serious. You’re not
talking about
her,
are you?” I asked.

“No. I’m not. There’s a guy at work…
How’d your doctor’s appointment go?” Cash asked, trying to change the subject.

“Fine. I’m pregnant,” I stated. Cash
dropped his glass, sending water splashing everywhere.

“Say… say that again? What?” he
stammered, as he clumsily tried to save his cell phone and the remote control
from the spreading puddle of water.

“I’m kidding. I got my shot, we’re good
to go for another three months,” I said as I threw him a towel.
