Phoenix's Heart (14 page)

“Well sir, this is a dress, and you didn't ever say anything abou
t not wearing a dress.” He stopped about a foot in front of her.

“Smart ass,” h
e said, and she smiled up at him.

“I
’d rather be a smart ass than a dumb ass.” He threw his head back and laughed.

“That is true.” H
e looked back down at her and his gaze was like molted lava. “Now what am I going to do when every man in my office is staring at you.” He placed his hand on top of her baby bump and smiled. “I think I need to fire every man in the office.” She laughed, and Phoenix raised his eyebrow at her. “I'm not joking darling, you are too sexy and I don’t want men looking at what is mine. Not like that.”

She narrowed
her eye. “I am not your property.”

“Darling
, you’re carrying my babies.” She removed his hand off of her, and glared.

“That doesn’t mean you own me.”

Jennifer watched regret play on his face. “I'm sorry; I know I can be an ass some times. But I told you I’m not made for a relationship.”

“Phoenix, you are. You just have
to get use to me being a woman and guys looking at me. It's part of life.” He looked down at her and she smiled. “Now, was there a reason you called me in here, besides yelling at me?” He grinned at her, and she knew that grin. “I don't think so. Not when anyone can walk in.”

He looked
at the door. “Oh darling, I have a strong lock on that door. No one will be getting in.” He grabbed her by the waist and she giggled. “Plus, my office is sound proof.” He lowered his lips to her neck.

She moaned
and he moved up to her ear lobe. Jennifer dropped to her knees in front of him. She had wanted to do this since she was first with him. She wondered if he was too big to fit in her mouth, and was about to try. She ran her hands down the inside of his legs, and he moaned as she moved her face close to his cock. Jennifer brought her hands up to the button of his black pants and quickly undid his pants.

Slowly she pulled his pants down, she grinned at his bright red boxer briefs. She gently pulled them down, and his cock sprung free
, hitting his abdomen. She looked up at him as she lowered her mouth to his huge cock. When her lips met his velvet head, she groaned with him. Jennifer loved to suck cocks; she loved knowing she could please him.

“Jennifer,”
Phoenix said but she cut him off by sucking on his cock, and slowly stroked him. “Bloody hell, don’t stop.” She looked up at him as her mouth moved down and back up his length. He moaned and tangled his fingers in her hair and urged her to go farther down his cock. She opened her mouth more and allowed him to fuck her face.

Jennifer moved a hand to his balls and gently massaged them with her fingers. He groaned, and moved faster; she welcomed him. She could only get about half of him into her mouth, and she looked back up at him.

“Jennifer, I want to come in your mouth.” His almost pitch black eyes were staring at her and she nodded. He moved a little faster; she closed her mouth around his tip and took over. She started to suck on him with one hand stroking him, and the other hand was still massaging his balls. Jennifer felt his balls grow large in her hand letting her know his release was coming. She slowly moved her mouth down and then back up; she sucked harder, and he screamed. “Jennifer!”

She held him to her as he came in her mouth, she groaned at his salty tangy flavor and she brought her eyes up to meet his. Phoenix was smiling at her, and she winked at
him. She kissed his thigh; she pulled up his underwear, and his pants. He dropped to his knees and took her face in his hands.

His dark midnight blue eyes searched hers. “You never fail to surprise me, darling.
What you just did was completely amazing.” Phoenix smiled at her, and kissed her lips lightly; he kissed his way down to her neck. “Now it’s my turn to taste you.” She was just about to give in to him when the phone rang. He tore away his lips from her. “I am going to kill whoever is on that phone.”

Jennifer could
n't help but to laugh, and he started to walk away from her. “Maybe you should hire someone to answer your phones.”

He looked at her when he got to the phone and smiled
. “Nice to see you in such a good mood. I wonder why?” He winked and picked up the phone.

“Phoenix.” He listened
for a minute and his face got red. “No, do not do anything until I get there.” He hung up and swore. “I have to take care of something in IT. I won't be back for the whole day, so just take messages for me.” He walked over to her, and took her into his arms. “Can you do me a favor?” She arched her eyebrows at his question. “Don't let anyone flirt with you.”

She laughed
; he was the most jealous man she has ever met. “I will do my best.”

He moved
an arm around her shoulders, and walked towards the door. “Jennifer I may not own you, but you are mine. I don’t want anyone touching what is mine.” Phoenix opened the door and he walked them out. The whole office was glancing their way, and she looked up at him. He was smiling down at her, and then framed her face with his large hands. She felt her heart pounding extremely fast, as he lowered his head to kiss her. She knew why he was doing this and a part of her was mad, but the other part wanted to claim him too. “Mine.” He whispered against her lips, and then his lips were on hers; she allowed his tongue into her mouth, and had to force herself not to moan with his taste.

He moved his lips away, and she wished
they didn't have a crowd watching them. His eyes were telling her that she had the same effect on her as he had on her. He winked at her and walked away, leaving her standing there with every eye on her.

Phoenix walked into his IT department and towards the conference room. He walked in and his eyes met Melissa's. She grinned and batted her eyes. Sam was getting the large flat screen set up.

“Please t
ell me you found the commercial,” he said as he was looking at the back of Sam's head.

“Yes, I
am hooking it up now.” He turned around and smiled at Melissa, then looked at Phoenix. “I also edited it, so it is ready to go.”

Phoenix walked
over to the large cherry wood conference table. He sat down, and Melissa moved next to him. Sam turned on the TV and pressed play.

After they watch
ed the commercial Melissa and Sam looked at him. Waiting to see if he liked it, he looked down at his hands. Then he looked and smiled. “I fucking love it. You both did an amazing job; of course there are some things that need to be touched up.”

“I a
im to please you.” Melissa purred, and Phoenix glanced at Sam. He looked like his heart was ripped out by Melissa. She looked at him and nodded. “Thank you so much, Sammy.”

Sam nodded slowly, and turned
to walk out of the conference room leaving him and Melissa alone.

“I want to buy you a drink, it i
s the least I can do.” She looked up at Phoenix, and he saw her eyes begging him to say yes.

He smi
led at her. “I am seeing someone.” Phoenix stood up, but she stood in front of him. He couldn't even think of anyone else, besides Jennifer. He could almost feel her warm sexy body next to his. He saw her beautiful smile and how it lit up her face.

Mel
issa placed her hands on his chest, and this was the first time he didn't feel the burn of his incubus power wanting to take over. “She will never know.” Phoenix looked down, and Melissa smiled up at him.

He gently pushed
her away. “I wouldn’t do that to her.”

Melissa started
to laugh. “Oh Phoenix, I was joking. That's not the kind of woman I am. But I still want to take you out. I know you have more money than sin, but I want to treat you.” She smiled at him. “Please?”

He
knew that tonight was out of the question, he wanted to finish what happened in his office. “In two days, we'll go out for drinks.” He walked towards the door, he stopped before walking out. There was no way in hell he was going to let her pay. “And I’ll be buying.”

Phoenix walked
out and headed towards his office. He was hoping to catch Jennifer before she headed to lunch. He couldn't believe how much he missed her. He had only missed one person before. His grandmother.

Chapter Ten

After she got most of her
work done, she decided that it was lunchtime. She grabbed her purse and headed towards Subway. She was so hungry and really wanted a Sweet Onion Teriyaki. She walked in and sighed. It smelled like heaven on earth to her. She walked up to the counter and ordered her food.

“Jenny.” A voice she
knew well said. She hadn't seen him in ten weeks, and never wanted to see him again. She looked up to her ex-boyfriend Ryan. His dark blonde hair looked the same, it was just above his ears and his hazel blue eyes were staring at her. She opened her sandwich and took a bite. “Can I sit?” She swallowed and blinked her eyes at him. “Please.” He begged, and she nodded.

“What do you want?” s
he asked, as he was sitting down.

He stared at her, and looked
down at the table. “I want to tell you I’m sorry. I know it doesn’t mean much, but I can't stop hating myself. I can't believe what I did, and I want to kick my own ass.” He looked up at and she saw tears in his eyes. The whole time they dated she never saw him cry, not even when his father died. “I can't get your face out of my mind, Jenny. I never loved anyone the way I love you.”

Jenn
ifer shook her head. “No, you have no right telling me you love me. You cheated on me with some blonde.”

“I know, I know
, and I hate myself for that. I just felt lonely and she was there.” He reached for her hand.

She pulled
her hand away before he could touch her. “I don't care if you were lonely, now you can fuck anyone you want.”

He a
rched his eyebrow. “Just like you did the same night you found me in bed with Sam?” So the Blondie had a name, Jennifer smiled.

“I did, and I know Megan told you. So why are you here? You should already know we aren’t getting back together.
I am with Phoenix.” Hurt flashed on his face, and for once she didn't feel bad for him.

“Jenny, you don’t know him.” He
brought his eyes up to hers. “You know me; I want to be there for you and your baby.” He stood up and walked towards her. He dropped to one knee, and pulled out a little black box. She waited for five years for him to do this, and he decided now he wanted to marry her? “Jennifer Elizabeth Cruz, will you make me that happiest man on earth and be my wife?” She heard the door's bell make a noise and looked up into stormy midnight blue eyes.

“You got to be kid
ding me!” She was shaking her head and hoped Phoenix wouldn’t do anything. “Get up, please, you are embarrassing yourself.”

He got off of his knee and stared
down at her. “Jenny, you know I am the better choice.”

She gla
nced up at Phoenix, and he was walking towards Ryan. She shook her head, but he didn't stop moving. “Phoenix is the better choice. I love him and I am having his babies.” Ryan’s eyes widened.

“Babies?” She nodded, and he chuckled
. “Well that is news, but Jenny, you don’t love him. From what I heard, he fucked you and left you. You know your father will disown you if you are pregnant and not married.” Phoenix tapped on Ryan's shoulder, and Ryan looked over his shoulder. “Yes?”

Phoenix gave him a
wicked smile. “I am Phoenix.” Ryan turned to look at Jennifer and she nodded. “Now, I believe she turned down your proposal.”

Ryan
was shorter than Phoenix by a good four inches. He jerked his shoulder away and looked back at Jennifer. “Jenny?” There was a time when she would have done anything for him, now she just felt sick.

“No,
I will not marry you.” She saw his shoulders drop, and he hung his head.

“I will
always love you Jennifer.” He glanced at her one more time and turned around to leave. She watched him leave, and felt Phoenix heated glare on her.

“So I leave you for a few hours and you a
re getting proposals.” She grabbed her sandwich and took a big bite. “Darling, I wanted to kill him.” He sat across from her, and placed his hands on the table.

She shook
her head. “You wouldn’t have done anything.” She smiled at him and took one of his hands.

He nodded
. “I wanted to rip out his heart.” He looked down, and frowned. “Will your father disown you, because of me?” She already thought about this, and knew there was a chance he would. He would most likely cut off her trust, well what he could. She was her grandfather's favorite, and he left most of the money to her.
