Dominque (Knights to Remember) (21 page)

As soon as Jacob spotted him sneaking a look through his heavy lashes, he growled. “Don’t look at me, I didn’t give you permission.”

“I'm sorry, Sir. I would never deny you anything. Please…” He wanted to reach out, to touch, to beg in any way he could. “Please.” He felt like weeping but he held himself stiff and straight, perfectly displayed for his master. “I love you, Jacob.”

That made Jacob pause, his feet standing directly in front of Dominque, and he could feel the heavy gaze from his Dom on the back of his head. “Dominque…”

“I love you. I trust you. Let me show you how much. I’d crawl on my hands and knees through this entire hotel if it meant being beside you. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you.”

Jacob tapped his fingers by his side, and then walked off. “You’ll wait there and remain in that position until I return to you. You will not speak, you will not interact with anyone unless I am beside you.”

“Yes, Sir.”

J
acob stormed off, his heart racing and his mind far away. He brushed past Krane as he entered the lounge they had been using for drinks after their meal and looked into his eyes. He understood Jacob and his lifestyle where the others wouldn’t. “He’s not to be touched.”

Krane nodded and Jacob rushed up the stairs, running to their room.

He pulled out the rosewood box from his suitcase and sighed heavily, opening it and looking at the solid platinum collar in his hand. It was perfect, and one he had commissioned over five years ago. Thin and low enough to be worn every day, but heavy so it would always be felt around his boy’s neck. It would rest on his collarbone and there, right in the middle of the continuous circle, was the name which he had engraved on it that morning. Dominque.

He’d brought it with him, not knowing if he would even show it to Dominque, but wanting to describe just how much he desired it to happen in the future. After today, Jacob knew he would give it him, not in this manner, but now was the time. After all, this was forever in his mind and it felt right to have witnesses to the moment.

With the collar grasped tightly in his hand, he made his way back into the lounge, his family murmuring and in a confused state, questions on their lips as he passed by. Krane was outside, pacing up and down, but Jacob walked past him and headed to the lone figure of Dominque bathed in the soft glow of the lights illuminating the castle grounds.

He was stunning and Jacob gripped the collar tighter. He could say no.

“Dominque, look at me.” Jacob stood directly in front of him, gazing down into the most beautiful eyes he would ever see. “I believe you.”

Dominque breathed out and a small smile made it onto Jacob’s lips.

“I love you. I always will do. Despite what we have to go through to achieve the type of relationship we both desire, I'm not willing to wait to show the world you're mine. You please me greatly. I’ve waited for so long for you. Planned for this moment and now it’s here, I question whether you will accept my offer.”

He laid out his palm, showing the collar to him and watching as Dominque’s eyes widened.

“You know what this means, but just in case, let me reiterate what this means to me personally. This is forever. Once this goes on, it will not be removed for any reason. It will be worn for all to see and for everyone in all parts of your life to understand you belong to me and me alone. It is a commitment, a binding of the two of us. A contract not just for you, but for me to follow. You will be my world. My heaven and earth. I’ll worship you for the rest of my life, and mourn you in death, because after I part from you, my soul will still be tied to yours.

“My heart, my body, everything I have or will have, is all yours. This collar is proof I am yours, that you and I are bonded. Through the years, that bond will grow and change, but right now, it means you and I will be together, that I will honour you and care for you, earn your trust and be worthy of your love. If you accept, then I will know you desire to return all of those things to me. That you will obey me, cherish me, honour me.”

Dominque looked up into his eyes, glassy and wide, so open and honest.

“Don’t be afraid, Boy. When you doubt your own heart, know mine will lead the way for both of us. Now, tell me your answer. Will you be mine?”

“I will,” Dominque whispered out into the night air. “I'm yours. I’ve been yours from the moment we met.”

Jacob smiled, leaning forward and unclasping the collar so it fitted around his neck, sliding the two ends together and twisting them back into the seamless look again. No beginning and no end. Just like the love he had for his boy. “You're mine, Dominque. Just as I always knew you would be.”

“Thank you, Sir.”

Jacob offered his hand, helping Dominque stand on shaking legs. He placed a searing kiss on his lips, happily accepting his boy’s tight hold around his neck as he pressed them together. When they broke apart, they were both breathless and semi hard. “I guess now I need to explain what happened to my family.”

Dominque blushed furiously, but nodded. “Jacob…” He stopped him from walking off and looked into Jacob’s eyes. “I love you.”

“And I love you.”

Dominque took his hand, holding it tightly as they made their way back into the hotel. Confused faces greeted them.

Jacob ushered Dominque in and stood beside him. “The easiest way to explain this is…” Jacob looked to the ceiling and Dominque smiled.

“We belong to each other,” Dominque said softly.

“Yes,” Jacob agreed more confidently and louder. “Forever.”

They leaned into the other, kissing softly.

Jacob wrapped his arm around Dominque’s waist and grinned. “And if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to consummate that agreement in private.”

Walking out of the room, both chuckled hearing the many questions being asked. They would answer them tomorrow, or the next day, or whenever they found time to explain their relationship.

“Did you bring that with you?”

“Yes,” Jacob answered as he called for the lift.

“Did you bring anything else for me?” Dominque looked up through his lashes and Jacob grinned.

“Silk rope and a flogger.”

“Hmm. And do I get to play with them tonight, Sir?”

“Tonight, Boy. I'm going to slap that arse of yours until you can't sit down. I have a big list of things which need correcting.”

“I can't wait.” Dominque reached up, wrapping his arms around his neck. “I love you, Mr Buchanan.”

“I love you…” Jacob paused. “I don’t know your surname.”

Dominque rolled his eyes, then claimed Jacob’s mouth. There was an endless list of things they still needed to know about the other, but they had a lifetime to learn them. This was just the beginning. “It’s Day. Dominque Day.” He smiled up at Jacob. “Happy now, Mr Buchanan?”

“Very, Mr Day.” Jacob grinned, wrapping an arm around his waist before encouraging him to move to the stairs. “I’ve never been happier.”

It took only a moment for them both to hurry to their room. Each of them kept constant contact with the other, not allowing more than half an inch of space between their bodies. The moment Jacob reached into his pocket to retrieve the door key, he paused, internally running through the scene over and over in his head from the garden.

It brought his heart to a standstill and his breath stopped in his chest. Dominque, showing how in tune he was already to Jacob’s needs, ran a hand gently over his shoulder, floating the delicate touch up his neck before cupping his cheek. Although soft and endearing, Jacob could sense the power in those nimble fingertips, feel the unspoken thrum of devotion and understanding passing through them, and he dropped his gaze to his boy and smiled.

“I know, Jacob.” Dominque leaned up, kissing his lips with a tender brush of his full mouth before slipping the key from Jacob’s tense fingers and sliding it into the lock, kissing him again before he pushed the door open and stood back, keeping those brown eyes on Jacob’s. “It’s okay to feel apprehensive about what just happened, or…” He lifted the tip of his thumb to his lips, toying with it between his teeth as he flashed a glance at the four poster bed dominating their bedroom before meeting Jacob’s amused eyes. “You know, what’s going to happen, either here or when we leave. I know it will take more time than either of us really want, but the fact we both want that future, it means a lot to me.”

“All I want is to earn your submission.” Jacob cupped Dominque’s face in his palms and smiled down at the man who had so easily warmed his cold heart and broken down his steel walls. “I want to be worthy. Trust should never be easily given. It can’t be forced upon someone, and you and I know without trust, there is nothing.” Before Dominque could interrupt, Jacob placed a finger over his lips and shook his head. “There are levels of trust, Boy. What I want to earn from you is a level so high and so secure that without thought or pause you would bend to my will, please me in any way I see fit and know I would never break that bond.”

“I know you will earn this from me, Jacob—Sir.” He grinned, brown eyes sparkling with a light lost from his heart for too long and a light Jacob felt honoured to have brought back in some small way.

“Small steps are needed.”

“Yes, but even with small feet, I still manage to make quite an impact somehow.”

Jacob laughed, rolling an arm around his boy’s waist and walking them into the room, closing the door softly and pressing Dominque up against it while he flicked the lock. “Boy, you have no idea how big that impact is. When I heard you speaking to the agency, when I misunderstood your words…” Jacob felt a shot of ice run down his spine at the recollection. The pain he felt over the deception and loss of Dominque impacted him so greatly he felt the world fall from his feet and every bit of light in his life extinguish, leaving him as he was before he set his eyes on the exquisite brunette—empty and void of life.

“I won't ever lie or leave you.” He grazed his knuckles down Jacob’s cheek before taking hold of his chin and staring determinedly into his eyes. “You're mine.”

Jacob’s breathing picked up as he shifted against Dominque, cradling him as he worked his mouth down the silken skin of his boy’s throat. “I am,” he whispered against the hot flesh beneath his lips. “Without doubt, I am yours, Boy.”

Working his way slowly up to Dominque’s mouth, Jacob paused, taking in the now familiar and intoxicating scent which clung to his boy before capturing those full lips with his own and claiming a powerful kiss, one which soon had his hand clasping the door handle in a white-knuckled grip, and his internal struggle to own and claim what he knew to be his rose with an even stronger pull.

“Sir.” Dominque’s pleas made him ache inside, his inner dominance calling to him, shouting at him to do something—anything. “I need you.”

“I know,” Jacob growled against his throat before giving them both much needed breathing space and taking his hand, leading Dominque to the bed and pressing the back of his knees against it. “Show me what you need. Lead me through your boundaries and teach me how far we can go together.”

Jacob had always trusted his subs, found comfort in their limits, known they knew their own needs and followed the rules agreed between them. Never before had he felt in such an anxious state of mind, but like everything else a Dom lived by, the fact the submissive was always the one to control any scene gave him comfort that he still stood on the precipice to the world he knew, and he watched with a patience born through years of control as his boy hesitantly looked up into his eyes.

“Think back to your first days as a submissive. Back to the days when it was all new and you had no knowledge of what you were about to enter into and recall how the Dom with you followed your hesitant steps into their world.” Jacob kissed him softly, hoping in his heart the unknown club Dominque used to be a part of had trusted members and caring Doms to walk him through those first frightening times. “They took care of your needs, didn’t they, Boy?”

“Yes.” Dominque stood before him, unmoving, waiting. “But none made me feel like you do. None had the type of power over me that I share with you. With you…” Dominque smiled sweetly, holding Jacob’s hand. “From the first moment I saw you standing in the middle of the hotel bar while I knelt before you, looking up at you from the ground as you stared down at me, I felt this. I felt the urge to give you everything. I wanted to be yours. I knew it was right. It was only fear which held me back, and I refuse to let fear control me anymore.”

Jacob remembered Dominque as he first saw him, kneeling, full of nerves and wide eyed, so beautiful in his natural submissive state, and he caught those lips with another crushing kiss and bone-grinding hold. When they broke for air, Jacob slid his mouth down his boy’s throat as he whispered to him.

“You're not the only one who was ruled by fear, Boy. You, over everyone else I have ever fought to control and master, you, Boy, you were the one thing I knew I would never be a master over. I knew in my heart you would own me and I would desire and crave it so badly, it made me experience a jolt of fear so strong I thought it would snap me in half. But like you, I knew this was meant to be. You’ve always been mine, Dominque, and in turn, I’ve always been yours. Show me what you need from me.”

Dominque’s breathing picked up when Jacob held his firm ass cheeks and squeezed, pulling him against his erection, both of them moaning in the otherwise silent room. “You said you brought something to restrain me. Silk?”
