"Nah, Chase I'm not. But Monty is my boy, and I rather he did that than kill me. Do you want to know if it hurt seeing it? Hell yea, but I respect the game. There's always consequences to our actions." I wasn't saying anything, and I could tell he was trying to read me.

"Bro, that was a mistake. You know I would never do no shit like that to any of my MMN brothers. If you want to shoot the fade, that's fine, but it's still not going to change the fact that we slept with each other's chick and are hurting over it."

"You right." I passed the blunt to him.

"B, got some good ass pussy, don't she?" He turned his face up, and that's exactly what I wanted to see.

"Nigga, go ahead with that. I told you it was a mistake, and I'm not about to sit here and compare notes. So we good, or what?"

"We good. Just don't let that shit happen again. Won't be no sampling pussy between us. I don't ever want to talk about this shit, and if you feel like there's something more you're feeling towards her, don't come around. Oh, and don't ever show up to her crib without me."

"I feel the same way." I had to think about what he said, because his girl had some fire between her legs, and she could suck a mean dick. But our main chicks were and will always be off limits.

"Good. Now that, that's all settled, did either one of you sleep with my girl?" We looked at Chase like he was crazy.

"Hell no." We both said at the same time.

"That's lil’ sis."

"I'm just asking since y'all swapping pussy; I want to make sure my girl’s wasn't in it."

"Whatever nigga."

"Hitta your phone keeps ringing." His girl came out passing him the phone, and she stared at me. I shook my head.

"Yo. You trying to fuck this nigga again?" He spazzed out on his girl. She rolled her eyes and went back in the house.

"You told her you knew?" Chase was looking at him like he was crazy.

"Yea, I showed her. She was pissed at me for not being home at that hour and thought I was still cheating with my ex."

"Yo, this shit is crazy. I'm glad I don't have to worry about this."

"It's over and done with now. I'm not trying to think about it." I got up to leave, and Hitta called me back.

"What's up?"

"Look, we boys before anything, and I did some foul shit. Well, we both did. I don't want this to affect us."

"Nah, we good. Trust me, if we weren't, I wouldn't be this close to you. I respect that you were man enough to talk me instead of making me ask. It was only fair I did the same in return as far telling you; even though your perverted ass watched it."

"Hell no, I didn't watch that. I saw you come in; once y'all started kissing and she took her clothes off, I shut that shit off."

"At least that's all you saw. I literally saw you fucking B."

"All right; let's not talk about that anymore. I'm going to pretend it never happened, and I'm sure all four of us feel the same."

"We good. I'll hit you up later when it's time to go out."

"All right. One." Chase and I jumped in my ride and picked the girls up for lunch.

My boys were definitely on some other shit, sleeping with each other's woman. I know I was doing the same when Spring was with that dude, but he wasn't my boy. I believe everything happens for a reason, and maybe, this was a sign for Monty’s ass to get it together and settle down. That mess happened two months ago, and now, here we are at Spring’s baby shower, and all of them are in the same room.

"Don't worry baby. I know how evil my sister can be, but she loves Monty. What happened with her and Hitta will never happen again."

"I hope not. Neither one of those niggas are punks, and I was sure they were going to go blow for blow that night."

"Why didn't they?"

"Hitta stepped up and told him what happened. I guess Monty couldn't do shit but respect it." She shook her head and went back in the hall with the guests.

"Monty, I want to say I'm sorry about getting you involved with me and Hitta. I should've never slept with you." I heard Hitta’s girl behind me.

"It's cool. I don't want to talk about it though."

"You're telling me you didn't feel anything after that night?"

"Nope. Listen, I don't feel comfortable talking about that and my boy outside. If you caught feelings over that, you need to get passed them. Hitta will always be my boy and what happened is over and done with."

"Fuck you, Monty."

"Nah, I'm good. Been there, done that." She stormed out the back.

"Yo, she on some other shit."

"Hell yea, she is. I know what I did was foul, but I definitely won't do it again; that's his main chick. You know we don't even roll like that."

My son got a lot of stuff, and now, I was sitting here trying to put this stupid ass crib together.

"You having problems, baby?" She sat next to me and attempted to help. After two hours, we got it set up and put away the rest of the things we got for the baby. I started telling her about Hitta’s girl, and she told me she caught him staring at B a few times.

"I hope for everyone's sake nothing goes any further."

"Me, too."

I watched Spring sleep and started thinking about how after everything that we’d been through we still found our way back to each other. She was my dream woman, and I planned on proposing to her soon. I just wanted to make sure our relationship was stable, and so far, it has been.

The night Hitta and I slept together was a mistake, and we both knew we couldn't take it any further, but when his girl sent me a text telling me her and Monty were still sleeping together, I said fuck it. I called Hitta up to my office and told him about it. We were both hurt, because we apologized and stayed away from each other, but those two broke the agreement and continued.

"So they're still fucking, huh?" He shook his head in my office.

"Well, according to your girl, they are. I'm not sure why she felt the need to tell me. She sent me the text to tell me, and of course, I didn't believe her until she sent me a picture of him in the hotel they were out in an outfit I saw him in recently."

"Dam. I thought we moved past it. I guess they really wanted to sleep with each other." I could see the hurt on his face, and I'm sure he saw mine.

"Don't cry, B. Neither one of them deserve our tears." He wiped the tears, and his touch sent a chill down my spine.

"I know Hitta. The crazy part is he isn't even my man."

"Yea, I never understood why you two never made it official." He rubbed his hand down my face.

"Neither one of us were ready, so we stayed friends, but I still love him. I'm starting to feel like he doesn't deserve me."

“Monty is my boy and has been for years, and I won’t kick his back in because of the shit him and my soon-to-be ex are doing, but know this, you are definitely a woman I would never feel the need to cheat on, and that I would want in my corner.”

“Didn’t you cheat on your girl?”

“Yea, after she cheated first. See, my girl is the type that, if you make her mad, she’ll go out and fuck someone instead of talking about it. The first time she did it, we argued over something as dumb as the garbage not being taken out. I’ve come to believe that she was never girlfriend material, but I only kept her around because she has my two sons.”

“Well, maybe you need to find you another woman.”

“I did. But she’s already taken, and I can’t do my boy like that, even though he don’t give a shit about me and mine.” He kissed my lips and walked out. I fell back in my chair and sent Monty a text telling me to meet me at the house around nine. I made sure the baby was asleep and I got myself ready for the argument that was about to take place.

“What up B?” He came in jolly as ever.

“Don’t take anything off, because you won’t be staying long.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Monty, do you love me?”

“Of course I do. Why would you ask me some crazy shit like that?”

“If you love me, why can’t you be with just me?”

“B, I thought we went over this and decided when we were both ready it would happen. Until then, we would stay friends and just do us.”

“You’re right, but what you didn’t tell me was that, after you slept with Hitta’s girl, you would continue, even though we all agreed that it happened once, and that was it.”

“What are you talking about? I’m not sleeping with her.” I showed him all the screenshot text messages she sent, along with the photos. He put his head down.

“Monty, I really do love you, and I’m in love with you, but that’s not enough for you. It’s like, the more I try, the more you back up. I’m not saying you don’t have love for me. I did birth your daughter, but you don’t respect me.”

“That’s bullshit, and you know it.”

“Then tell me why you’re still sleeping with her.” He put his head down again.

“Don’t you dare tell me that?”

“B, it was an accident, and I slipped up. She doesn’t know if it’s his or mine.” I started throwing shit at him.

“Get off me.” He let me go, and I threw my phone at him. I didn’t care if it broke.

“You made me take the abortion pill to be certain I wouldn’t have a baby by him which was fine. I didn’t want any kids with another man, but then, you fucking her with no condom and shooting your babies inside her like you want her to have a kid with you. Correct me if I’m wrong, but she’s still with him, right” He nodded his head yes.

              “Get the fuck out.”

              “I’m not leaving.”

“Monty, get the fuck out. I’m not playing.” I wiped the tears that were falling with the back of my hand.

“What? You and Hitta about to fuck now?” I nodded my head back and forth laughing.

“You know, the sad part about all of this is that he and I both knew what we did was wrong and never spoke of it again. Yea, we may have smiled at each other or said hello, but that’s as far as it went. I called him to the office and told him, and he never said one bad thing about you.”

              “He’s not supposed to.”

“No he’s not, but you’re not supposed to finish fucking his main chick. And to think that, after he found out about you two again, he still didn’t try anything with me. He said, and his exact words were, “Monty, is my boy, and even though it’s fucked up what he’s doing, I can never do him like that. Now that’s a real friend. You ain’t shit.”

“So, go fuck him a few more times, make the shit even, and come back. Hell, if y’all want to have a kid, go ahead, but you’re still going to be with me.”

“Listen, to yourself Monty. You want me to go out and be deceiving and conniving to make yourself feel better about what you’re doing. I’m not a ho, nor do I feel it’s appropriate for me to sleep with your friend again. He’s not with it, and neither am I. Believe it or not, we respected what we had with you as far as you being his boy and me being your whatever. But you are so fucking selfish that you still continued fucking her, and raw. Monty, you don’t give a fuck about anybody but yourself. You can say it’s not true to yourself, but you know everything I’m saying is. I can’t live like this with you anymore.”

“What are you trying to say B? Because I’m not hearing you leaving me so get that out your head.”

“This running back and forth with you is draining me. It’s over; just let me be.”

“Nah, I’m not trying to hear that.”

“Monty, please. You don’t have to worry about me questioning you or even discussing your business with me. Just be here for Maddy and any other kids you have scattered around.”
