Love Will Lead You Back (11 page)

“No, why?”

“Maybe, you need to ask her when the next appointment is and go. Better yet, buy her a test and make her take it in front of you. Let me know what you find out.” I went to leave, and he snatched my arm back.

“I still love you.”

“Fuck you, Chase.” I yanked my arm away and went back to sit with Russell. I could see Monty shaking his head when Chase got back to the table.

“Can we go?”

“Sure.” He paid for the food, and we went back to his place. I wasn’t comfortable with him at my house yet. Plus, when I wanted to be alone, I didn’t need him coming over anyway. I left after he and I had sex. There were so many thoughts going through my mind with Chase, and I was wondering if my feelings towards Russell were real or not.

“I wish I could’ve saw Chase’s face when he saw you with your new boo.” B said when she came in my room. I knew Monty would tell her.

“That shit was funny Spring.” Monty said, walking past my room eating an apple.

“I didn’t know he was here.”

“Yea. He came to tell me what happened after he dropped some chick off.”

“I don’t know what I want to do B. I still love Chase, and I’m trying to respect the choice he made. I even found someone else, but the minute I move on or find some peace, he pops up, and my feelings come back to the forefront.”

“Spring, you’re still in love with him; that’s why. Russell is just there to pass the time, but Chase has your heart, and until you get it back, you’re never going to move on.”

“I don’t know how to get it back.” I wiped the tears that were falling.

“Me neither. All I can say is I’m here for you. I love you sis.”

“I love you too.”

“I hope you’re not about to sleep with Monty. I know he’s my brother, but you know he was with some chick he probably slept with.”

“Hell no. I love him, but he knows what time it is.”

“How do you do it?”

“Girl, I’ve had a wall up since I’ve been with him. He was able to knock it halfway down. Monty and I love the arrangement we have. No one will ever come in between us because of our bond. I respect what he does and vice versa; as long as he keeps his bitches in check, we won’t have a problem.”

“I have to get like that.”

“Sis, you’re stronger than you think. You just have to toughen up and stop thinking that Chase is the only man in the world. If you don’t open up, you’re never going to get over him.”

“Thanks B.”

“Burgundy, come on.” I heard Monty shouting.

“Let me go. He wants to watch
Straight out of Compton
since he never saw it.”

“Alright. I’m going to bed.” She shut my door. I was about to do some serious soul searching tonight.

Chase

The day I told Spring I was going to stick it out with Tamika, I knew I hurt her. I also knew I was still in love with her, and vice versa, however, what kind of man would I be leaving her pregnant like that? I may not love Tamika, but it was my fault for slipping up and putting us both in the situation. I can’t say I was happy when she told me, because I really wanted Spring to have my kids. My plan was to break it off with Tamika and make a life with the woman I really wanted to be with; and that was Spring. I planned on getting her pregnant and talking her into keeping it. All that went down the drain when I got home.

I ran into her at the restaurant, and she threw in my face that Tamika wasn’t pregnant again. I admit, the first time she said it, she pissed me off, but to hear her say it again had me thinking about buying that test and making her pee on it. What if she wasn’t? Would I be mad? I had to get with my boy to see what he thought since he had three more months before his daughter came.

“Yo, what you think about Spring saying that Tamika isn’t pregnant?” Monty took a sip of his beer and put it back on the coffee table. We were sitting at his house playing Madden.

“I’m not trying to tell you what to do, but B told me about how Tamika was in the store talking about how she was going to say she was pregnant and have you take care of her. She didn’t know Spring was in the next aisle over.”

“FUCK!” I should’ve listened to her when she tried to tell me.”

“Let me ask you this. Have you raw dogged her since she told you?”

“Believe it or not, I haven’t even slept with her since she told me. She’s been trying, but I’ve been sleeping in the other room.”

“Well, it’s a good thing, because if she wasn’t, and you did, she sure would’ve got your ass.”

“Yo, do you think that’s what she was trying to do?”

“Who knows? You know chicks are scandalous as hell.” He passed me the blunt and picked the remote backup to play.

“Take this ride with me Monty.”

“Hold on; let me lock up.”

“I’ll meet you outside.” I sat in the car with him. I went by CVS since that was the closest and picked up a test. When we got to the house, Yolanda was sitting on the couch. She was eight months pregnant and still partying like a rock star.

“Where’s Tamika?”

“In the back.” I stepped in the back, and Tamika was putting on her pajamas.

“Hey, Baby.” She kissed me and tried to wrap her arms around my neck but I backed up.

“Tamika, are you pregnant?” I wasn’t wasting any more time; I needed to know.

“Yes, why would you ask me that?”

“I haven’t seen any ultrasound pictures, nor have you told me about any doctor’s appointments.”

“Chase, you weren’t home when I went, and I gave you and ultrasound photo. They don’t take one at every appointment.”

“You don’t look five months.”

“I know. The doctor said I was carrying small.”

“Tamika, tell me the truth right now. Are you pregnant?”

“Yes, Chase. Don’t ask me again.”

“Ok, come take this test.” The shock on her face was evident.

“I’m not about to take no test to prove I’m pregnant.”

“Ok, then when is your next appointment?”

“I haven’t made one yet.”

“Either, you’re going to take this test or you got to go.” She snatched the test and went in the bathroom. I gave her a few minutes then I remembered Spring telling me to watch her take it. I opened the door, and her back was turned. She had a small vial of what looked like piss, and she was pouring it on the test. I shut the door back and shook my head. I went back to the front, and Yolanda was giving Monty head. Bitches had no respect for themselves.

“Here” She handed me the test with two pink lines.

“Was there enough in the tube for you to use?” Her mouth dropped open. “Get your shit and get the fuck out.”

“Chase wait. I can explain.”

“Nah, there’s no explanation for trying to trap a nigga.”

“I love you, Chase.”

“No you don’t. If you did, tricking me to think I was about to be a father would’ve never crossed your mind. You got that though.”

“Monty, you bust in her mouth yet?” I yelled out to the front.

“Nope, almost there. Give me two minutes.” Monty gave zero fucks about ho’s, and I was about to be on the same shit.

“Pack your shit.” She stomped off like a kid having a tantrum. I made sure to stay in the back so she only took her shit.

“Let me guess; you’re going back to that stuck up bitch.”

“What or who I do is no longer your concern. But for the record, I did go back and planned on staying there until you told me you were pregnant. I was willing to work it out and be with you. I left her alone to be with you, and this the shit you pulled.”

“Well, since you’re being honest, let me do the same. The dude she with is trying to get her pregnant. He wants her to put him on his payroll and have her do money laundering for him.”

“What does him getting her pregnant have to do with her working for him?”

“She’ll be tied to him forever if they have a kid, and he’s a woman beater so when she has his kid, she’ll be stuck because he won’t allow her to leave him. Shit, he may be whooping on her already.”

“How do you know all this?”

“Because my sister has a son by him and had to disappear just to get away from him. The last time, he beat her so bad she had amnesia for a few weeks.”

“Why are you telling me all this?”

“Chase, that day in the store I tried to get a rise out of her by mentioning I was pregnant, and all she did was sing your praises about how good of a man you were, and how I needed to be good to you. I know she loves you, and I can see you feel the same way about her. I’m sorry for tricking you, but I really do love you, too. Unfortunately, you never got over her; therefore, never being able to give me all of you. Go get your woman.”

“Thanks, Tamika, but that’s not going to happen. She tried to tell me, but I didn’t believe her. She told me once I found out the truth not to come back, because she wouldn’t be there waiting for me, so even though you and I didn’t work out, she doesn’t want me either.”

“Fight for her Chase if you love her like you say you do.” She kissed my cheek and went to the front.

“Yolanda, you still swallowing this nigga’s babies after he won’t claim the one you pregnant with?” Tamika said mushing her in the back of the head.

“Don’t hate because you can’t swallow Chase’s anymore.”

“Bitch, let’s go.”

I drove over to the twins’ house after me and Monty left my place. It was after midnight when we got there, and he used his key to get in. I gave mine back when she and I first broke up. I went into her room and watched her sleep. I pulled the covers back, and she was naked. I licked my lips and found my face in between her legs. She popped up and fell back when she saw me.

“Chase what are you doing here? Fuck, yea.” She was grinding her hips on my face.

“You want me to get up?”

“No, make me cum.” I found her g-spot and had her releasing herself on my face over and over. I found her lips and kissed her aggressively.

“God, I missed you.” She said, sucking on my bottom lip. I separated her legs and pushed myself in her. She was extremely tight, but my dick loved it. Her legs were wrapped around my back as we continued kissing and fucking.

“Ride me baby.” She went down slow and stopped.

“What’s wrong?”

“It’s been a while Chase. I have to get used to you again.”

“Take your time then. I’m not going anywhere.” I guided her hips slowly. I wanted her to enjoy it as much as I was.

“Oh God, I’m about to cum, Chase.”

“Let it go baby. I want to feel your juices on me.” It was like someone spilled water on me. She had so much coming out of her. Her head was on my chest. I flipped her back over and stared at her while I went in and out.

“I’m about to cum, Spring.” I felt her muscles squeeze tighter around my dick, and before I could pull out, my sperm shot inside of her with authorization.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to cum in you.”

“Yes, you did.” She grinned.

“Whatever.”

“It’s ok, Chase. If I get pregnant, then it was meant to be.”

“What about your man?”

“What about him?”

“I thought you were feeling him.”

“Chase, my heart is with you. It has been for the last year or so. I tried to give it to him, but it didn’t work.”

“Good, because I don’t want anyone else to have it.” I made love to her some more, and each time I tried to pull out, she would hold me tight like she didn’t want me to.

“Do you want to have a baby?” I asked her.

“I don’t know. I just know when we’re both cumming, I don’t want you to pull out, because you’ll stop me from cumming. Why should I lose out, because you didn’t wear a condom?” I couldn’t do shit but laugh.

“What now Spring?”

“I don’t know Chase. You have my heart, but I’m with someone.”

“So leave him.”

“Ugh, no. Why would I do that?”

“Because you just said yourself I have your heart.”

“You do and always will, but you hurt me when you didn’t believe me. I would never make something like that up. I’m going to try and make it work with Russell.” I started putting my clothes on.

“Well, since you trying to build with him, I’ll let you in on a secret. He’s trying to get you pregnant, and he’s a woman beater. Oh yea, he’s going to try and get you to launder money for him. But hey, if that’s the type of nigga you want, be my guest.”

“Who told you that?” I could tell I piqued her interest.

“It doesn’t matter. Just know I most likely got you pregnant, and you better not tell that nigga he can take care of my seed.”

“Pregnant. You believe your sperm is that potent Chase? Come on now.”

“Mark my words. You are and I expect to be at the first doctor’s appointment.” I slammed the door and left.

Monty

B had her head on my lap dozing off during the movie we were watching. My phone buzzed on the nightstand with a text from Yolanda saying she had the baby. I put the phone back down and kept watching the movie. That wasn’t my kid, so I don't know what she was telling me for. I picked the phone back up, and it was a few pictures of the baby. She had a son, and in no way did he look like me.
