Deal?” he asked as he
backed off me with them in his hands.

Fine, deal,” I snapped. I
grabbed the paper and pencil and walked over to the desk. “You have
no idea what you’re in for. I can write for days. Hope you’re
ready!” I flopped into his chair and pressed the pencil to the
paper.

First paragraph was done in
five minutes flat.
Wonder what he was
willing to give me? He did have a point about build up. Maybe I
shouldn’t take advantage of him with the opening paragraph and just
ask for a kiss.

Here you go, check my
work, Mr. Goldstein.” I held the paper in the air. He read it to
himself mumbling.

Good! What are you going
to get for your first prize?” he grinned and crumpled his eyebrows
as he ran his fingers through his hair.

Well Max, since it
is
the first prize
earned in this contest; I would like to ask for a kiss.” I stood
up.

He came over close. He let out his
breath slow from his nose as it flared. His eyes twinkled as he
teased me. He wrapped his arms around me and dipped me low in front
of him. His lips pressed hard into mine as my hands knotted in his
hair. His arms were rock hard as they held me. He tasted so sweet
my butterflies didn’t know where to go. They pounded hard up and
down my body. He rolled me back to standing and I actually got
light headed.

Whew.” I pushed my hair
back from my face. His hand still tucked around my
waist.

You liked it?” he growled
against my ear.

Oh yeah,” I answered him
as I went back to his desk and hammered out another
paragraph.

You would think it would
have been easy to get another paragraph done when it comes to Romeo
and Juliet, sixties style, but come to find out it was a little
harder than I thought. Do I comment on the production of the movie
and how well it followed the book? Or do I focus on the abilities
of the actors to bring the characters to life? It was probably
better to just write about the character’s triumphs and tragedies.
Mainly because that
is
what we are studying right now, Shakespeare and the poetic
injustice of Romeo and Juliet. The forbidden love and pent-up angst
of two young people from two different worlds.
Sound familiar?

Well, stumped are we? Here
let me see what you’ve come up with.” Max leaned across the desk
and snatched up my paper before I could stop him. He held it high
as he read it. I stood up and he raised it higher in the
air.

Hey, I wasn’t ready for
you to read it yet.” I kept jumping, trying to reach it, which was
totally useless; there was no way I could get it. His hand caught
me around the back of my waist as he pulled me closer. I stopped
jumping.

This was part of the
challenge I didn’t get to tell you about. I get to check what
you’ve written and if I like it I get to choose the prize for you.”
His eyes studied my expression as they persuaded me to kiss
him.

Did I pass?” I smirked as
my lips left his.

Well, let me see. Nope.”
He tossed the paper back onto the desk.

How come?” I moped. I
pulled the chair out and sat down.

See here? And there?” He
pushed his finger to the page. He leaned over me like he would when
I was in his class. Familiar excitement flooded my body feeding the
famished butterflies. “You’re missing the main idea that ties this
section to your opening paragraph.” He pushed his mouth to the top
of my head and inhaled my scent. He moaned as he
exhaled.

If I fix that do I get two
prizes? One for my paragraph and one for doing what you told me to
do?” I tilted up to see him.

Maybe. We’ll have to see
how fast you get done.” He walked across the room and pushed his
iPod into its docking station.

Within a couple of minutes I had my
paper in the air waiting for him to look at it. He meandered over
and snagged it from my grasp.

Okay, yeah, not bad. I
like how you brought in other characters like Benvolio, and the
Nurse. Alright, what two prizes were you thinking about?” he
huffed, smiling.

I grabbed my paper out of his hands
and pushed against him. I wanted to tease him. Kiss him without
letting him touch me. That was my prize. I took his hands and
pushed them to his back. He obeyed and shoved them into his
pockets. I ran my hands up the front of his shirt and locked them
behind his neck pulling him down to me. His eyes closed and I
tasted him light. I pulled away and watched him lean forward, he
wanted more. I wouldn’t let him. His hands loose, he tried to grab
me around my waist. I caught his hands and held them away from
me.

Hey, my prize, my rules.
You don’t get to touch,” I scolded him.

Just a little something?”
He gave me a needy look. I pushed his hand to my cheek. His fingers
mingled with my hair as he held under my ear. He watched me as I
leaned into him and kissed delicately under his jaw. His other hand
steadied my face as he pulled me across to his lips. He couldn’t
take not being in control. I pulled away and pushed him
down.

That was something. But
it’s my game and I’m upping the ante. Stay there.” I told him. He
lay across the bed on his back, propped up on his elbows. His feet
were flat on the floor anchoring him to not move.

What are you going to do?”
he growled low.

You’ll see. No touching
unless I say so.” I grabbed the bottom edge of my shirt and pulled
it up over my head. My hair tickled as it fell back to my
shoulders. His mouth dropped open and he swallowed hard. I was left
in my black bra.

This isn’t fair. Come here
Wilson.” He bit his bottom lip, his eyes drawing across my face
down to my stomach and back up to my chest.

Do you like what you see?”
I asked in my most sexy, gravelly voice.

Um hum.” His tongue wet
his lips. “Come closer,” he demanded.

Nope.” I went over to his
iPod and adjusted the songs until I found a sexy, slow song. I had
no idea who it was. Some indie band no doubt.

I stood staring at him as he stared
back. He was sitting up now, his hands pulling his hair back from
his face. I think that was the only place he could put them without
grabbing for me. I moved closer. Slowly I unbuttoned the top button
on my jeans. He couldn’t take it. He jumped up so fast, I screamed;
he startled me. His hands navigating across my stomach and around
my back, his mouth tracked down the side of my face, under my jaw,
and down my neck to just above my bra. He sent chills throughout my
body and my butterflies took notice. I had him exactly where I
wanted and I still had another prize to claim.

Chapter
Twenty-nine:

Three paragraphs later we were down to
just our pants on top of the bed making out. My report was done and
I just have to give props to Romeo and Juliet. It was the perfect
aphrodisiac.

Time ticked away with every breath I
took. Even when I attempted to inhale slow and deep, the anxiety of
Monday coursed through my body. I wanted to know what to expect. Be
prepared for the intensity and torture of being in a room with him
and not being able to kiss him.

The reality of our limits clocked me
hard upside the head. I’ll have to watch him help other girls in my
class. I’ll have to listen to the other girls tease and paw after
him. It made my heart hiccup thinking about it. I tucked under his
arm and cuddled next to his warm firm body.

What’s on your mind?” he
whispered as he tightened his arm around me. I exhaled before I
answered him.

Monday and every day after
that,” I groaned. I leaned my head back.

We will make it through
Monday and every day will get a little easier.” He grabbed my chin
and brought my eyes to his. “I promise.”

I hope so,” I mumbled as
he kissed the tip of my nose. He let out a slight laugh.

It was frustrating that he found it
humorous, because for me, I was worried to the core about messing
it up for us. What if someone saw the way I looked at him; put two
and two together and figured us out? Or just so happened to see us
touch? If anything happened to him because of me, I don’t think I
would ever forgive myself. Cindy has already pressed too close for
comfort.

Wilson you need to stop
worrying. It’ll be fine.” He rolled me onto my back and pressed the
side of his face against my collarbone, turning to kiss at the base
of my neck. His legs tangled with mine and his hand pushed my hair
back from my shoulder.

As much as I should have
liked what he was doing, thoughts of Cindy wouldn’t stop hijacking
my mind—her face as I told her, ‘
F-
you’ and left—her vindictiveness
that would be boiling over with different scenarios she could
create to get back at me. I slid off the bed and I stood looking at
him. I tucked my hands in front of me covering my bare
chest.

I should tell Cindy I’m
sorry.” The words sped from my mouth.

What? Why?” He sat up,
reaching for my arm.

I said the “F” word to her
face and stormed out. She wouldn’t stop pushing me about liking
you. I know I was wrong, but I just couldn’t take her crap
anymore.” I paced back and forth the length of the bed. He stopped
me. His arms wrapped tight around me and he pressed my head,
wedging it under his chin.

I won’t let her hurt you.
Wilson, don’t let her ruin our night. Okay?” He jockeyed his head
catching my eyes. “Okay?” he asked again.

Okay,” I answered. I
shivered as goose bumps rippled up my arms.

Good. You cold?” He rubbed
his hands across my arms and up my shoulders.

Yeah, a bit.” He snatched
a shirt from on top of his dresser and snapped it to
unfold.

Here.” He pulled it over
my head, slid it down over my chest and across my
stomach.

I loved it when he took care of me.
There was something magical about it and it made my butterflies
awaken. His long sleeves clung cool to my skin. I pulled the neck
of his shirt up to my face, inhaled as deep as I could through my
nose. I couldn’t get enough of his aroma. His pheromones mixed with
his scent caused me to quiver deeply. He noticed and teased me,
wrapping his hands over mine and pressing his nose to my chest
below the bend of my neck.

You smell so much better
than me,” he said against my skin, inhaling again. I didn’t agree,
instead I broke my hands free and lost them in his hair, pulling
him up to my lips. His hands pushed against my back. He was still
shirtless so I pressed my fingertips hard against his naked, hot,
skin.

He pulled his lips from mine. “I’d
have to argue that point,” I said.

Wilson. You can argue till
you’re blue in the face, your scent is so tempting. There is no way
I could smell as good as you.” He was confident.

Well, how do you know?” I
tried to hold back a smile causing my eyes to narrow and my cheeks
to burn red.

Trust me, I know.” He
snickered and snuck a small kiss.

What were you like when
you were in high school?” I asked before he came in for another
kiss.

I was shorter and
completely immature, probably because I was seventeen when I
graduated.” he snapped back quickly with a smirk.

Hey now. I bet you were a
total book nerd, oh wait maybe you were a dumb jock.” I pushed him
away and jumped onto his bed.

Oh, no you didn’t just go
there with me.” He sped to the bed jumping next to me.

Ah, yeah I think I just
did,” I answered him back. His shirtless muscles flexed as he
grabbed my arms pushed me down against the bed. Pressing his body
on mine, he dropped his face real close.

I was the guy that carried
girls’ books, helped the teachers set up labs, and pulled a pretty
high grade point average all four years,” he answered, then smiled
as he pushed harder against my body. He adjusted himself to fill
the curves of our bodies before he slid down to just below my chest
and rested his head on my stomach. “But that was then and this is
now.” He pushed his fingers behind the waistband of my jeans. I
lost my breath. Chills shot down my legs and without hesitation I
pulled my knees up.

Now is good,” I told him.
He pulled his hand away and lifted his head. He stared at me
through furrowed brows.

Now
is
good, isn’t it?” He ran his hands
up my sides and under my shirt finding my breasts. His eyes still
smoldering and constricted he pressed his lips to my
stomach.

He knelt to the ground, his hands
delicately tugged at my knees and he pushed his body between. I sat
up, his eyes met mine. His hands brushed over my shoulders, down
across my chest and snatched the hem of my shirt. Never uttering a
single word I gave him permission to take it off. He pulled it over
my head, tangling it around my hands locking me in the fabric that
once protected me.
