When are we going shopping?” She
batted her eyes, portraying the innocent look I’d given
her.

We? How did we
contribute?”

By watching the dog in your
lap.”

Sheba barked right on cue.

I looked down at Sheba. “Whose side are you
on?”

When are you guys going to have a
real baby? I’d much rather change a diaper than walk a dog in the
rain,” Tina said.

Probably no time soon.” I didn’t
want to tell her about the miscarriage I had a few months prior. We
were finally ready to make a family and I stopped taking birth
control a year earlier. I lost the baby at twelve weeks. The doctor
said it was normal after taking birth control for almost over ten
years, but nothing about a miscarriage felt normal to me. I had
just turned twenty-six and was finally stable in my career, and
we’d passed the newly wed break-up years in our marriage. I didn’t
want to be like Daniel and his first wife. They were barely
together a year before filing for divorce. According to him, it
took another year to be complete.

Their nine-year-old son was non-existent
because his mom ran off to Europe with him. Daniel and his first
wife met while in college and had a baby, broke up, then got back
together years later. When he told me on our first date almost four
years ago that he wanted another child but wasn’t in a rush, I was
fine with it. It seemed as if so much time had passed since
then.

What are you waiting on?” Tina
interrupted my thoughts. “You ain’t getting any younger. Are you
trying to be one of those old parents?”

What’s wrong with that?” I raised
one eyebrow up at her.

Being confused as the
grandparent.” She smiled.

She did have a point, but I had no control over
Mother Nature. We’d just have to wait and see.

Tina, you mind if I have my wife
back?” Daniel poked his head into the kitchen. “Technically, we’re
still on vacation until tomorrow.”

Sure.” She slid off the stool and
gathered her purse and car keys. “I’ll call you tomorrow,
Jen.”

With her out the way, Daniel made his way over
to me and wrapped me in a warm embrace. “I just want you to know I
enjoyed my vacation. It was more than any man can ask for, and I
would never expect you to do anything like that again. That
is…unless you wanted to.” He gave me a sly grin.

I gave him a playful jab in the ribs. “What
happened in Vegas stays in Vegas.”

Chapter Three

Back into the full swing of work, I sat at my
desk, getting caught up on emails. I used to work from home but
decided to get an office space again because of the numerous
interruptions. My family and friends failed to see me being at home
as working and dropped by or expected me to be at their beck and
call on a daily basis. My assistant, Kathy, had also gotten too
comfortable at my house. On more than one occasion, I found her in
the living room watching television instead of making phone calls
or doing her administrative work. Being back in an actual office
eliminated everything.

My mind wandered as I reviewed information from
potential clients. With technology, appointments were made directly
on my website. It was designed to ask specific questions. I knew
the majority of their needs before even picking up the phone. If
more information was required, I deferred to Kathy for the
call.

I narrowed down my list to just three.
Threesome
. There went my mind again.

I blushed at the thought of our return trip to
the Red Door. My stomach did flip flops as we made our way inside
again. Disappointment and relief washed over me at not seeing the
brunette upon entering. This time, we took a seat in the lounge
area and ordered a round of drinks from there. The couple next to
us didn’t hesitate to strike up a conversation.

You guys want to swap?” a deep
voice attached to a large hairy man asked. His eyes meandered over
my body as if I were a succulent dish.

My drink caught in my throat and seeped up,
burning my nose. I fought against spitting it out.

No. We’re good,” Daniel
said.

I let out a sigh of relief. No way was I
sleeping with some other man. Only one penis entered my body, and I
was married to it.

Let’s dance, baby.” I wanted away
from that guy. The way he ogled me made me feel like a piece of
meat. It wouldn’t have been so bad if the wife acted like it
bothered her, but she was too busy gawking at Daniel.

If you’ll excuse us.” Daniel
grabbed my hand and led me to the dance floor.

The DJ played a mixture of new and old dance
music. I downed my drink and felt great. My hips swayed back and
forth to the beat. I got down on my husband as if I were like the
women I’d seen in the dance clubs back home, long before Miley
Cyrus made it popular on the MTV Awards. They always looked as if
they were doing more than dancing. Why not try my hand at twerking
it in a place like this?

Midway through the song, Daniel couldn’t handle
the grinding I gave him anymore.

We need to go upstairs.” His voice
was husky against my neck. His stiff rod against my backside
yearned to be touched.

I couldn’t agree more.”

I followed closely behind him. The only
available room was called the Swing Room. Inside the room was a bed
with a black strap hanging from the ceiling. If the tour guide
hadn’t given us a demonstration of it the day before, I wouldn’t
have had the faintest idea of how to use it. It resembled mountain
climbing gear to me.

After a bit of foreplay, Daniel coaxed me into
the contraption. From the way his eyes lit up, I figured I must
have gotten into it right. I was suspended in the air with my legs
spread wide open.

You look delicious.”

Though I couldn’t see her, I’d never forget her
voice.

Hanging there, I felt exposed. Where had she
come from?

Footsteps came closer, and then I felt soft
hands on my breasts with firm nipples pressing against the curve of
my back.

Don’t let me interrupt you. I know
you want to dive face first into your wife. By all
means.”

Daniel positioned himself in beneath me on the
bed and licked away at the folds of my nectar. With each nip of his
tongue on my bud, I slipped over the edge. My head fell back,
enthralled in bliss. She moved around to the front of me and sucked
my nipples. I was in no position to push her away. If I released my
hands from the straps, I would fall.

I opened my mouth to protest, but a moan
escaped my lips instead. Lust had taken over.

Let me taste her.” She gave Daniel
a nudge.

Obliging, he adjusted to the side. He rose up
and ran his tongue across my neck as her lips grazed my pearl. My
body tensed.

Relax, baby,” he whispered to
me.

My inhibitions ran and jumped out the nearest
window. She gripped my clit with her lips and sucked it in and out
before gently inserting a finger. Her antics drove me insane. My
body involuntary rocked against her face as her tongue slipped
deeper in my hole.

Jennifer, your two o’clock
conference call is on the line.” Kathy leaned against my office
door.

I shook my head and snapped out of it.
Thankfully, my computer screen hid my face. Surely I was
blushing.

Thank you.”

She left my office, and I joined the call. The
entire time I was on the line, I squirmed in my seat, barely
listening. My thoughts had me hot and bothered. As soon as it
ended, I grabbed my purse and headed out my office.

Kathy, I have to handle a few
things. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

I didn’t stick around for a response as I
rushed out the main door and down the hall to an elevator. It
seemed to take an eternity to come and go down the fourteen
flights. With the sound of the ding, I took off to my car. Within
twenty minutes, I was at my husband’s workplace. I bypassed his
secretary and walked straight in his office.

Daniel sat in his leather chair, on the phone
with his back turned. Gently, I closed his door and made my way
over to him. I tapped his shoulder, and he turned around. His lips
curled upright, and a huge grin spread across his face. He held up
his finger. Ignoring him, I undid his pants, pushed his rod through
the opening of his boxers, and took him in my mouth.

Phil, I have to call you back.” He
hung up the phone. “You little devil you.”

I licked down his shaft before wrapping my
mouth around him, taking him all in.

Mmm,” he moaned.

I wanted, no, I
needed
him inside me. My
body was on fire for him. I slid up my skirt and pushed my thong to
the side before easing my firm ass down on his hard shaft. As wet
as I was, there was no need to be gentle. I rode him right there in
his workplace and didn’t stop until we both came.

What has gotten into you?” He
didn’t hide the elation on his face. His eyes sparkled in awe as if
he were experiencing the power of electricity for the first
time.

I handed him a tissue from his desk. “I wanted
my husband, and I didn’t want to wait for it.”

You have no complaints here. You
did catch me at an awkward time though. I have a meeting, and I am
about to be late.” He adjusted his clothes as he spoke. “Can we
finish this tonight?”

Don’t forget about our counseling
session.”

Yeah… That.” His smile
faded.

I sighed. I had to open my big mouth and put a
damper on things. He gave me a kiss and mouthed, “I love you,”
before opening back up his office door and heading out. I looked at
the mirror on his back wall to make sure my hair was in place and
then proceeded out the door myself.

Have a nice day.” I waved to his
secretary as I passed, not daring to look directly at
her.

Chapter Four

The last time you were here, we
spoke about how dedicated each of you are to your professions,
which left little room for romance,” our marriage counselor
said.

Daniel had brought it up so I let him go ahead
and answer. I focused on the black and white artwork on the white
walls. In fact, the entire office was black and white from the
leather couches we sat on to her Dr. Tara Patrick name plate. The
only thing out of place was my outfit. My peach colored blouse and
gray skirt seemed off.

And how do you feel about that?”
Dr. Patrick gazed at me.

Excuse me. Can you please repeat
the question?” I hadn’t heard a word they said.

Your husband just said things have
improved since your vacation.”

I smiled, thinking of our afternoon romp.
“Indeed it has.”

Good. However, your vacation was a
temporary fix. A month ago, without actually saying it, you two
were on the verge of a divorce. There was little communication
between you, and you went about your home life like robots. You
were simply going through the motions. Is it plausible to think one
vacation erased all of that? Maybe, but you two still have a lot of
work to do. Have you tried any of my other suggestions?” She leaned
back in her chair, analyzing us.

I almost said we didn’t have time to, but
thankfully Daniel answered.

We’re working on it.” He grabbed
my hand and held it for emphasis.

Her suggestions included cooking together, long
walks, date night, taking baths together, and so on. For the next
twenty minutes, we did an exercise voicing the things we loved
about each other and what we could improve on. I went through the
motions but was stuck on something she said. “Verge of divorce.”
Were we really that far gone? I didn’t feel we were. Was I missing
something? Was the vacation a temporary fix and next week we’ll be
back to being roommates? My heart sank at the thought. I loved my
husband. The way he looked at me as he spoke about the things he
loved put a smile on my face.

At the end of the session, we thanked her and
made our way home. Daniel had come straight from work so we rode in
separate cars. I pulled up next to him at the light, and the
memories of our first meeting came rushing back.

I dodged in an out traffic on my way for an
appointment. With the delays from rush hour traffic on I85, I was
running late. As soon as I had an open break, I pushed down on the
gas pedal and jumped off the exit. My business had taken a hit by
the economy but this potential client would make a big difference.
The family owned most of the casinos in North Carolina, Illinois,
and Ohio. Due to my expertise, one of my high-paying individual
clients had put in a referral.

Hey, buddy, the light’s green!
Freaking go!” I screamed to the guy driving the car in front of me
as I blew my horn to get his attention.

The car didn’t move. I whipped into the left
lane to try and go around him. The light turned back red, and I
fumed. I turned my head to face the driver and give him the death
stare. To my surprise, he smiled.
