ELEVEN

It was an hour till Strange Angels was going to hit the stage and Lola had finally made it to Randal’s Island, and through the throng of people screaming her name to flop on the loveseat in the band’s double wide. The day was busy as hell, though it was made pleasant through all the text messages that Winter had sent her.  Still, she only had about thirty five minutes to re apply her makeup, change into a stage appropriate outfit and find Winter to get the kiss she was jonesin for.

Yeah she knew she had it bad, but really, did she ever give it up? And the barrier had stayed strong through the entire session that morning, and she didn’t feel anything having to do with Shesha so she was happy all the way around.

She palmed her phone and opened the message thread that she and Winter had been using and typed to him.

I’m finally here.

Seconds later she got an answer. She grinned. Oh no, he wasn’t waiting by the phone for her was he?

Come find me. I’m being accosted by feathers.

Lola shook her head. The Shades groupies were pretty fucking aggressive, but then again it was how Rhys and Winter and the guys had liked it for a long time. With Rhys off the market they all had sights on Winter, well the ones that hasn’t had the pleasure before now. The ones that did?  She was not going to be a welcome addition to his public face, that was for sure.

Made your own bed there I’m afraid. I’m touching up my makeup and changing. Be out in a few.

Another message winged through to her.

Take a picture of the panties you are going to wear tonight for me.

Lola laughed and shook her head.

What panties?

She dropped the phone and grabbed her bag, dug through it to find her clothes for the night and then stepped into the large bathroom to freshen up. Her whole beauty regime to be Lola was extensive, but she had it down to a solid fifteen minutes to start from base and a three minute touch up. Hell, she had been doing it almost a decade already, practice made perfect.

She had just reapplied her eyeliner and mascara when she heard the trailer door open. She poked her head into the hallway to see
Winter standing a few feet from her with a grin on his face. She gave him a quizzical look.

“You know damn well you telling me you weren’t wearing panties
tonight was going to get me here.”

She winked and made a kissy face at him. “You want to help me attach these garters?”

Winter was standing the doorway of the bathroom in three strides of his long, powerful legs. He had both hands on the frame of the door as he looked her partially dressed  form over, hunger evident in his gaze.

She
gazed down at the mini skirt, the tops of the raw edge thigh highs, already attached to the garters, and her cute platform Mary Jane’s. From the waist up she was still naked, which Winter was clearly appreciating. She watched him through his reflection in the mirror. He entered the bathroom and came up behind her, his hands reaching around her torso to cup her breasts.

“Lo, baby, you are such a fucking tease.”

She scoffed. “As if I knew you would be able to get away from your adoring fans.”

Like they were on
fire
. No bra tonight?”

She shook her head, her eyes meeting his in the reflection, daring him to say something about it.

“Good.” He took his thumb and forefinger and pinched and rolled her nipples, hard, exactly like she liked.

She gasped and leaned back into him.
“Ummm. Harder.” She opened her eyes as he plucked at her, holding the pressure till she squirmed.

So fucking hot. I have an idea.” He said and grabbed her t-shirt, which was one of her favorites, a Concert T from The Cure that had been modified to a little fitted scrap of fabric that just covered her ribcage.  She put it on and he turned her around, lifted her and set her naked ass on the cold lip of the sink. He looked at her and then lifted the shirt over her breasts and smirked.

He leaned down, brushed his lips against the hardened peak. She whimpered, the feeling of flesh on flesh zinging sensation to her core. And then he applied pressure. She gasped and held onto the precarious perch he had her on, determined to not fall.

He sucked and she purred. He nipped and bit down with just enough pressure, soothed the sting with a lave of his tongue and she was all but boneless.

And then he turned his attention to the other one.

She was panting by the time he was finished, keyed up, ultra sensitive, and this close to begging him to fuck her right there. Which was clearly his intent because he pulled back, surveyed his handy work and lowered the shirt slowly, making sure she had the most sensation she could have from the material dragging over the slightly damp flesh.

She shook, looked up at him with pleading eyes and he gave her a very smug look.

“That’s fucking perfect.” He traced the prominent numb that protruded from her breast with the pad of his finger.  “And I know just how to keep them like that too.”

As she had calmed enough to move on her own she hopped down and turned back to the mirror, admiring his handiwork. Her nipples looked hard enough to cut glass, and what’s more, they felt like they could. She moved, and the shirt abraded the sensitive flesh and she
almost fell, the feeling sending shivers to her core. What the fuck did he do to her?

She gave him a sexy little smile in the mirror and then picked up her new favorite lipstick, a sexy purple shade by
Lime Crime
and painted her lips with it. Winter leaned in just as she was blotting and whispered in her ear.

“You think
you’re going to be able to perform tonight?” he asked as he slipped his hand between her thighs and glided through her wet folds. “You’re practically soaking my hand here. Funny what a little nipple biting will do to you? I will have to remember that.” He slipped two fingers into her and pumped slowly.

Lola was already on edge, this was just a tease and she supposed that was his plan. He felt so good, like that morning, his calloused fingers nimble inside her. Gods did he know how to touch her.

“You really should wear knickers tonight love… “

“Why? You don’t want anyone to check me out from the crowd?”

Winter growled and leaned down and nipped her earlobe. “I could give a shit less. I just want something I can rip off with my teeth.” He pulled his hand out of her and pressed the wet tips to her clit, just enough pressure so that her longing was amped up. “Your sweetness shouldn’t be wasted.”

She watched as he slipped the fingers into his mouth, his eyes on hers the entire time.  Why the fuck was that so goddamn hot to her?

“Lo? Girl I know you are in here. Is that piece of Cajun hotness with you?”

Winter
winced as they heard Toro’s voice from the doorway.

“What is it?” she asked as she shuffled past
Winter towards the doorway.

“We got ten till we are on. Shake that tail girl!” the door slammed behind him and they were left alone once again.
Winter smirked at her.

“So panties?”

She gave him a wink. “Why not, you got work to do tonight.”

He grinned and grabbed her pulling her close. “Good. And while you’re up there, just keep thinking about the fact that
when I finally have a chance to get you alone, I’m going to tease the shit outta you. And you will beg me to get on my knees for you. Now, get those panties on. I want a souvenir from tonight.”

TWELVE

Lola wasn’t sure how the hell she made it through their set. Winter’s words kept playing in her head, and every move she made drug the material of her shirt across her overly sensitive nipples. She was in ecstasy physically, glad that he had her wear underwear, but her mind was in chaos. This was moving fast, though not as fast as their original courtship. Then again, they were wiser now, and could do it right, not be two fumbling kids on a relationship road. Still, it was exciting as before, and she felt like she did all those years before.

And now, she was standing on the side of the stage as
Winter and his band rocked the shit outta the crowd, still thrumming with the arousal he had stoked a little over two hours before. It hadn’t diminished one iota. He would look over on occasion wink at her or lick his bottom lip, and the action would make thins clench low in her core.

“I know that dance well...”

She heard from her left and turned to see Saffron grin at her. “Dance?”

The tour manager nodded.
“The he’s-started-something-he-needs-to-finish-soon-or-I’m-going-to-go-out-there-and-attack-him dance.”

Lola looked our towards
Winter, who was walking towards the crowd, playing his solo as Rhys set up the breakdown of one of their new songs and sighed. “You pinned it right Saff.” She said and grinned at the other girl.

Saffron
leaned in closer. “So it’s nice to see you smiling though. Things good?”

She nodded.

“And Winter? He behaving?”

She turned fully to Saffron and looked down at her still stiff nipples and then back up at the other woman.
“If you call that behaving.”

Saff
grinned. “Oh honey I call that major trouble. Still, happy looks good on you. And the barrier?”

She cocked her head.
“Holding. No issues. Sleeping through the night, No ethereal taps, no blackouts.”

“Awesome. That’s damn lucky. So you got a second chance, really.”

“Yeah, to say the least.”

“Well everyone is happy about it too, well maybe not the feathers but... I mean he’s not storming around anymore, and I’m sure the cut to his sugar intake ensured he wasn’t going to go
into diabetic coma any time soon.”

“Huh?”

Saff smirked. “The past couple months he was completely obsessed with raspberry tootsie pops. Never saw him without one in his mouth for long.”

That was interesting. When Rhys was miserable, he drank, and historically, when
Winter was miserable, he found a willing girl, which there was no shortage of. But to hear that he was, for the most part abstaining on that front, and just giving himself a sugar shock, well it kinda made her feel good.

She smiled at the other woman. “One thing,
what’s with his new tattoo?”

Saffron looked at her. “I don’t follow.”

“Under his arm, its green, looks like a Victorian ornamental design.”

Saff
nodded. “You tell him about your barrier yet?”

Lola frowned. “I’m not going to. Not till we can figure a way to get rid of that asshole squatting inside me.”

“And I’m not going to tell you what the tattoo is. It’s not my story to tell.”

Lola frowned harder and
Saff put her hands up in surrender. “Dude you both got secrets, leave it at that until you’re ready to tell him.”

“Are you implying that it has to do with something detrimental to his life, like Shesha is to mine?”

Saffron nodded. “And that’s all Imma say about it. Don’t get crazy about it, when he’s ready to tell you, he will.”

Lola started to protest and Saffron cut her off. “Dude, we all abided your wishes and didn’t tell him anything about the binding, know that we are doing the same for him.”

The music died and the crowd went wild and in a blink the lights were down. As the quieted, she heard the deep tones of Winter’s bass and the opening riff to one of their original songs that she loved. Saffron yelled from her spot next to her as Rhys’ voice filled the void between band and audience.

“The night’s deep,

the
room is dark

and
all I can feel is the thrumming of your heart

and
the slick heat of intention…”

It was the song Winter wrote for her, called ‘Anonymous Anywhere’ and they rarely played it. No coincidence that they were now, or that Winter was smirking at her from his spot on stage.

“Son of a bitch.”

“This one is my favorite, well except the song he mostly recently wrote.”

Lola turned to Saffron. “Rhys didn’t write this one.
Winter did.”

Saffron blinked. “No shit. Fuck this one has depth.”

Lola smiled. “I know.”

They listened thought the chorus, and made it to the breakdown where the entire crowd sang along.

Anywhere, I’ll follow you anywhere you need.

Anywhere, you are all the addiction I will ever need.

Stay the night; prove me right, the morning comes too soon.

Stay the night prove me right,

with everything I do to you to make you swoon.”

And just like that, she was turned from being cross with him back to wanting him. Hearing the words, even in Rhys’ sultry growl, had her body responding. Not because of who sang it, but because of the truth behind the words. It was about their first meeting, the night she threw caution to the wind to have the one guy at school she couldn’t stop thinking about.

Winter
looked over to her and winked as the band got into it, and the crowd went wild.

“You know Lo,
your glowing, its kinda gross.” Saffron teased in her ear.

She grinned and then hugged her as the last strains of the song were played.

The lights went down and the group ran off stage, a small respite before the encore. Lola watched a very sweaty Rhys wink as he passed her and then wrap himself around Saffron, who kissed him hard.

Winter
walked up to her and smiled. “Like?”

“A little rusty but yeah.”
She teased him and he moved closer, his beloved Betty, a Rickenbacker bass, was handed off to his bass tech. She cocked her head and bit her bottom lip.

“Where you guys staying
tonight?” he asked quietly.

She pouted.
“In jersey. Some Hilton in Camden.”

“My ass.
Don’t go anywhere.” He accepted Betty back and then turned as they replugged his wireless into his belt pack and walked back out. The beginning riff of ‘Morning After’ started and Rhys sauntered up to Lola and grinned.

“He’s not going to blow it this time Cher. You don’t have to worry.”

Before she could turn to comment he was walking back towards the stage, whispering the words of the song into the Mic.

They played their encore, but the entire performance was a blur.
Winter played with constant glances her way, as if he didn’t think she would be there when he was finished. Right. She had already decided she was going to see where this could go, leaving wouldn’t work towards that end.

When the lights finally went down the crowd roared and she blinked. Work was over, and he was on his way towards her. She smiled at him, and gladly went into his arms when he pulled her to him. Sure, he was sweaty, but it was a secret fetish of hers to enjoy him like this.

Sweaty Winter still smelled pretty damn good, and with his adrenaline high he was always just that little bit more aggressive, and she relished it. It has been the cause of some of their more impulsive acts in the past, and always ended with her satisfied and snuggled into his side.

“Killed it.”
She said as he stopped in front of her.

“Obviously.
Ready?”

“For?”
She asked and frowned.

Winter
grabbed her hand and pulled her to him, giving her a kiss that she felt right down to her toes. She pulled away when the cat calls from their friends got loud, and scowled at them, which earned them both a laugh.

“It’s time to go. You are coming with me tonight.”

“I would think that the band…”

“Won’t care.
You aren’t some fucking groupie trying to get on the bus, you are family, and you are staying with me tonight.”

“I meant
my
band.” She said quietly, though she wasn’t going to deny to herself that hearing that from him felt pretty damn good. After things went south with them not once but twice she was still worried that the rest of his band had issue with her. She knew Rhys and Saff and even Nyx were cool with her but since their breakup Chandler and Tosh had rarely talked to her so she was always wary.

Winter
looked up and saw Toro standing close enough to then and yelled at him. “Toro, I’m stealing Lola tonight.”

Toro frowned at him. “Why the fuck are you
telling me? I’m not her father. Just don’t knock her up, we have an album to record in a few months and I don’t need morning sickness interfering.”

Both
Winter and Lola gave him a horrified expression. “Jesus Man!”

Toro smirked. “Aren’t you glad you told me? Now off with you kiddies, T-daddy has plans himself.”

Winter tugged Lola towards the backstage area. “Well that settles it. I’m sure Stanton and Crais, Liam and Torch will be fine with no estrogen on the Angels bus tonight.”

Winter, I need my stuff.” She said with a laugh.

“All taken care of.”
Saffron said and lifted up Lola’s back pack. “I got you.” She winked as she handed the bag to Lola.

“And clothes?”

Saffron laughed. “We wear the same thing, Hell I think half my clothes are in your closet anyway. Let’s go.”

“No excuses…”
Winter breathed into her ear and nipped her lobe.

“I wasn’t looking for any. But I’m hardly the girl that throws caution to the wind and boards a bus
fulla people without my toothbrush.” She gave him a wry smile.

They walked hand and hand towards the back entrance with Saffron and Rhys next to them. It was dark
, around them, the back stage lights cutting bright swaths in sections, deepening the darkness under the tents. The din of the dissipating crowd was getting further away with every step, only to be replaced by the growing sounds of the fans that were waiting in the parking lot area ahead of them.

“Oh this is going to be fun.”

Winter looked at Lola. “The bus?”

She nodded.
“But more so before. You guys just hit superstar status tonight. Your first ever headline of an arena. Your reward is waiting for you.” She gave a half laugh. “If you guys though you were fuckable before, you got
all
their panties wet now.”

Saffron laughed and shook her head. “They really don’t need the ego stroke, Lo.”

They emerged from the gangway tents to see a large horde of fans, mostly female, waiting at the edge of the barrier. As soon as they were spotted the crowd called for them, shaking t-shirts and snapping pictures. Lola laughed.

“Welcome to super
star status.” She motioned to the crowd beyond. “Go get um tiger.”

There were screams of Lola’s name as well and
Winter grinned. “Seems like you are in demand as well.”

“Always.
Shall I show you how it’s done?”

He winked. “Oh I think I can manage.”

She, Winter and Rhys walked over to the group of screaming fans, while Saffron walked back to the bus, with Lola’s bag slung over her shoulder. The barricade was before them, along with several event security people that were enforcing the line, ensuring they wouldn’t be set upon by a mob of screaming women.

“Hey everyone!”
Lola said and was greeted to catcalls to her and girls telling her they loved her outfit and hair. She blushed, smiled, thanked the girls that talked to her quickly and then turned to Rhys and Winter. “Now I know you are not here to see lil old me… Aren’t you as in love with Shades as I am?”

The girls screamed their names and
Winter grinned. Rhys got right up in the thick of the fans, signing autographs, taking pictures, and talking and flirting, and Winter, normally not one to be outdone, was a bit more reserved, taking his pictures and smiling and talking without riling them up.

“Hey Lola, what are you doing with the
Shades guys?” One of the girls asked to her right.

“We go way back… all the way to high school.” She said and winked at
Winter.

Winter
laughed and nodded then took a picture with two girls that had asked.

“Hey
Winter!” he heard from his right and turned and grinned as the girls there took several pictures. He went to them as well talked quickly and moved on. Rhys was getting quite a crowd and he watched and shook his head, seeing several chicks pawing at him, and a few he knew were girls Rhys had hooked up with in the past.
