The Burden of the Protector (13 page)

For the editing, I’d like to send a thank you to Kira Rubenthaler and Vanessa Ricci-Thode. Their help makes me a better writer. Another thank you goes to Stef Mcdaid from WriteIntoPrint, for his help with the final formatting of the story.

I believe every child should have the chance to explore their creativity. My parents, Donald and Odille Chiasson, were always very supportive, especially when it came to my drawings and the weird creations I built out of Lego blocks. They probably never thought their support would lead me to writing, but here I am.

Finally, I would not be writing today if it was not for my beautiful wife, Leigh. Her belief in me is unwavering and when I was thinking of quitting, she urged me on. Her support for my writing is only one of the many reasons why I love her so much.
