Taken by the Gang: The Billionaire's Assistant (4 page)

An Excerpt from
Taken by the Gang: Claimed at Work

"Hey sweetheart," he greets me, barely looking up. "You’re gonna be on your own tonight. Antonio called out sick."

He seemed perfectly healthy last night
, I think. Oh well. It’s only a Monday night, so the non-existent crowd shouldn’t be too hard to handle.  All the more tips for me.

Marty finishes his books and then I'm on my own.

Hours pass without so much as a single customer, and I lean my elbows on the bar in disappointment and boredom.  This is no fun… not a damned person to flirt with, and I even wore a new, low-rise, lacy black bra under my v-neck top.  What a waste.

Suddenly, the pub’s heavy wooden door bursts open and a rush of cold wind and loud, male laughter precedes a group of five young men into the bar. Every last one of them is a fucking
stallion
of a man and each one seems even better looking than the one before… until I catch a glimpse of the hottest of the bunch—their ringleader—Antonio.

Sick, my ass.

I don’t have much time to be annoyed, though, because the guys make their way to the bar and suddenly the tables are turned. I feel their eyes traveling all up and down my body, and even though Antonio's looking me straight in the eyes, I can still feel him undressing me with his thoughts. I try to play it cool, but it's totally not working. My face flushes and I turn away for a second to regain my composure.

"What’ll it be, boys?" I ask once I've finally found my tongue again.

A knowing smile spreads across Antonio’s face, and then without even bothering to lower his voice, he replies, "We want run of the whole place tonight, and that includes you."

One of his buddies hoots loudly behind him, and Antonio glares at the guy over his shoulder.

When he turns back to me again, he adds, "Oh, and we'll pay.  Cash."

The implication sends my mind reeling and I stare back at him in slack-jawed amazement.  Antonio and his gorgeous friends and… and me?  What about the other customers—well, if we actually get any?  What if Marty finds out?

The front door swings open again as the first customer of the night walks in, and Antonio spins around and shouts, "The bar's closed for a special event, so get the hell out!"

"Hey!" I protest.  "That's a paying customer and my source of…"

Antonio interrupts me as he leans in across the bar, coming so close that his lips nearly brush against mine. "Tonight,
we're
your customers, and trust me, we'll make it worth your time."

"But…"

"You won't have to work for a month after tonight and… well, you might be too sore to work for a month, even," he says, winking at me. The pure animal passion in his voice makes my pulse quicken, and the thought of his powerful, muscular body bending me over this bar and fucking me right here until I scream makes me want to head straight home for a shower.

"What's your offer?" I blurt out before my brain even realizes the sentence was coming.

"Six grand, plus whatever
else
we give you."

Holy shit. $6,000?
I really
could
take off for a month.  Maybe even two.

"What's the catch?" I ask, as if I don't already know.  As if I don't already want it.

"You know what I want," he whispers in my ear, his breath hot against my skin.  "But there is something else, too.  I'm calling the shots tonight, got it?"

My head starts nodding on its own as my heart races in my chest and my skin burns with excitement.  Antonio snaps his fingers and one of his attending stallions locks the front door.

"Last chance to back out," Antonio whispers.  His eyes burn with longing as they stare into mine, all but fucking me already with their intensity.  My throat tightens, but as excitement overpowers my uncertainty, I give him just the slightest of nods…
