Comments from the on-line erotica readership
“Like many readers, I'm finding myself drawn to this Catherine. She really is one of the most three-dimensional characters I've ever come across in erotica.”
“Love how sweet and submissive this Catherine is. The perfect female.”
“You really ought to patent your Catherine character as I could see her as a new Emmanuel. Certainly as erotic.”
“Man I love this Catherine chick!”
Tod smacked his younger brother across the back of the head. "Where the fuck were you last night anyway? Out trying to get your pecker wet on your own, eh?"
Timmy jumped away before he got booted as well.
"Look - there he is!" Paulo said and the three of them dived into the back of a sand dune and crawled to the top so they could see over.
"So he's a cop?" Paulo went on excitedly. "How do you know?"
Tod stuck his head up a bit so he could see better over the grass. "Dad said," he answered under his breath. "He said he's a fucking big-shot cop or something - but that's where they came from, not here!"
"Yeah but a cop's a cop!" Paulo warned. "He's probably already on with Sergeant Pratt."
Sergeant Pratt was the local law enforcement on the island and a mean bitch according to Paulo and Tod. Timmy usually kept out of trouble so she didn't really bother him that much. Except when Tod made him do stuff. Tod was 20 and Timmy was 18 but there on the island it took longer to grow up so they hadn't really changed much since they reached puberty.
The island was known by locals as simply that - the island. It was a mile to the mainland with a ferry going back and forth every few hours. There was a sizable town right there but the only business of note was fishing. Plus a few restaurants and bars. On the island there was only the one bar and a grocery store, plus a take away shop and an old picture theatre that some of the fishermen's wives had restored so they could run movies on Friday and Saturday nights and give the kids something to do.
Last night Tod had found a girl wandering around and she'd gone to the movies with him.
"I think I saw her," Timmy said.
"No you didn't," Tod shot back at him and he smacked him across the back of the head again, laughing. Then he got him in a headlock and knocked on the top of his head. "Anyone home?" he chuckled while his little brother struggled and fought to get away.
"Yeah, I saw her!" Paulo whispered excitedly and Tod quickly crawled back to the top of the sand dune to have a look.
The girl he'd found was blonde with a perfect young body and a pretty face. She was staying there in the old Walker house with her parents. No one usually stayed there except old man Walker when he came over from the mainland to cut the grass and air the place out.
"See! There she is!" Paulo whispered excitedly again. She was standing in the doorway talking to her dad.
"Did you really feel her up?" Paulo went on without looking across at Tod in case she went back inside.
Tod chuckled proudly. "Fuck yeah!"
"So when are you going to see her again?" Paulo asked. He was Tod's best buddy. They had always been weighed down with Timmy since Tod was never allowed to go anywhere unless he took his little brother along. And that hadn't changed even though they were old enough to do their own thing now. Probably because there on the island there was nothing to do anyway! Until now that someone was staying in the old Walker house and they had a hot daughter.
"I said I'd see her today," Tod said. "I might just wait until she goes to the beach. She said she would."
"Why don't you go over right now?" Paulo asked teasingly.
"Fuck off! Why don't you?" he shot back at him, laughing.
"No - send Timmy!" Paulo laughed back. "You'll go won't you, Tim?"
"Yeah, dweeb brain, go and tell her to meet me us under the pier," Tod commanded of his little brother, suddenly turning serious. "The old man's gone back inside and you can still see her just in the door."
"But why do I have to?" Timmy whimpered.
"Just fucking do it!" Tod threatened him though and he booted him off the back of the sand dune.
Timmy pulled his pants up and brushed the sand off them as he walked around the dune and towards the gate. He stopped there and looked back but his brother was waving him on. He took a breath and walked into the yard and slowly up to the concrete step and the front door. He could see the girl there inside so he knocked softly hoping to get her attention, but her dad was right there to the side of the door and he stood and opened it.
Timmy swallowed hard and looked back for his brother, but he and Paulo were off and running across the dunes towards the beach. He turned back to face the man and thought quickly. "I was just wondering if you had any jobs?" he asked meekly.
Catherine grabbed her shoulder bag and squeezed past her dad and the young guy standing there fidgeting and mumbling with his hands stuffed in his pockets. She caught the guy's eyes bulge at her and she gave him a quick smile though.
The whole thing was a huge mistake for Catherine. She had tagged along with her parents expecting to find a tropical island resort with dance clubs full of hot single guys!
She hurried along to top of the hill and down the other side to the little cluster of houses and the take away shop. She blushed and smiled without looking at the old fishermen seated along the open windows of the bar as they all whistled and grunted at her. Next to the bar was the police office, which was a small wooden stall attached to the pier. She hurried along the pier to where the ferry was docked but it sounded its horn and pulled away before she got there.
"Oh no!" she cried. "Come back - please!"
The ferryman was up the front in a small cabin and he was looking ahead. There were a few people looking back at her. A couple of them shrugged and waved apologetically.
"He never turns back," a husky voice called out from below.
It was an old man on a small boat tied to the pier. Catherine looked over the rail to acknowledge him.
"Nine o’clock sharp and if you're one second late he'll go without you," the old man offered by way of his apology to the young tourist.
The wind was blowing her long blonde hair all about and she caught it and tried to fix it into a band as she watched the ferry slowly drift away. With her arms raised like that old Vince had a nice view up her little dress though. The wind was flittering with that as well and he was getting flashes all the way up her slender thighs to her little spotted panties.
"Is there another one this morning?" she asked. Her voice was soft and sweet. She sounded so disappointed.
"Every two hours, love," Vince answered. "Did you really need to get to town?"
"Yeah - sort of,” Catherine said with a sigh.
The wind was always blustery there on the end of the pier and it suddenly lifted her dress again, nicely flashing her panties from the front that time. She was still looking out after the ferry and Vince edged around a bit more directly beneath her. They were high cut panties and he could see the shape of her young pussy beneath them. He could see the soft mound and the slight indentation slicing up the middle of it.
She caught the skirt of her dress and looked back down blushing a bit. Vince smiled in spite of the fact he had several teeth missing. "Manny will take you over if want to run down there and see him."
Catherine looked along the pier to where the old man was pointing. There was another small boat with a man undoing the ropes and getting ready to leave. "Hey, Manny - you got room for this young lady?" he called out.
Manny was an old black man who also had a big smile. Catherine hurried along to where he was docked. "Could you take me across?" she asked sweetly. "I can pay!"
She stood by the rail while he tied up again and he smiled up at her. "No you keep your money, love," he said kindly. "Just a minute while I get this secure so you don't slip and fall."
He was fixing a plank and rail for her to walk across and he kept glancing up at her legs. The wind was blowing in gusts and billowing her dress out, and Catherine bit down on her smile as she felt her panties being exposed to him. Then the other man approached along the walkway below the pier and stepped onto that boat, and the two of them sat down talking while Catherine stayed up on the pier waiting to be invited aboard.
"Come on then, love," the old black man said and motioned for her to come aboard. The other man then left and Catherine climbed down a ladder and stepped aboard, slipping into the life jacket being held up for her. "Now sit down there and we'll be across in a few minutes," the old black man said, smiling broadly again.
Catherine sat on one side of the boat with her knees together and the wind again trying to get under the skirt of her dress. The old man stood up front at the wheel mostly watching what he was doing but from time to time he would look back over his shoulder, and Catherine pretended not to notice when his eyes would roll down to her thighs.
It was only a few minutes until they were cruising past the ferry and a few minutes after that they were coasting into dock. Catherine waited until the plank and rail were in place then she accepted the old man's hand to balance her as she stepped up onto that pier. Then she had to climb up another small ladder to a boardwalk above.
"Thank you very much," she said sweetly but his big eyes rolled up her thighs just as the wind billowed her dress out again. It was a lengthy gust and she pressed her hands to her hips to stop it from lifting right up.
That time she met his eyes when they lifted and she felt herself blush.
"I'm going back in an hour or so,” he offered.
"Oh no. I'm not sure if I'll be going back yet and I can get the ferry this afternoon if I need to. But thank you!"
"My pleasure, love," he grinned, and Catherine felt her dress fly up at the back as she turned away, giggling to herself and blushing back over her shoulder at him.
The plan was to get a bus back home though and the ticket office was there across the road from the beach. A bus today would be perfect. Maybe the next day at worst she figured.
"No. Every Saturday there's a bus back to the city, sweetheart." It was a creepy looking guy with a thin moustache and greasy hair behind the counter. "One every week at 8.30 in the AM. You just missed it."
"What? You can't be serious!" Catherine cried. "What about a train?"
He shook his head. "No trains, honey. Railroad closed down thirty years ago in these parts. We locals don't have much call to go anywhere though, and tourists prefer towns further up the coast with those swanky resorts and such."
Catherine turned away, defeated. She guessed she would have a look around the town and hopefully find something to do for the week but it didn't look promising on the drive through when they arrived. She checked with the man for the time for the next ferry, which was in half an hour, and then there was another at twelve.
The town stretched along the length of a rocky beach closed in by a headland at either end. Walking along, Catherine looked up each of the streets that angled away from the shoreline and found the usual mix of service businesses, cafes, clothing and food shops etc. There were a few restaurants and bars scattered around and at the end of the street there were playing fields and a carnival being set up. High up into the headlands and further along the streets away from the coastline were quite a few houses. There were no holiday units or hotels or anything though. It seemed like the town was all business, and fishing was the main theme. Right under the headland was a marina with rows of small fishing vessels docked and lots of bearded, roughly clad men shuffling around.
Catherine walked back around the foreshore and ventured along a few of the streets where she found a new bikini and a couple of skirts and tops. She picked out three romance novels at a bookstore and decided lying on the beach with a book was about as exciting as it was going to get for the week.

Meantime old Manny stood and stretched his back. The years of dragging in fishing nets had long since taken their toll and even a few minutes bent over was too much these days. He arched his weathered old frame all the way over backwards and rolled his head around to try and loosen up the tension in his neck.
