Detective Washington had been trying to track Perry down for the past two years, and now with Crystal's help, he had a better chance at catching the pyscho. He was just happy that Crystal was alive. Finally he had an eyewitness.
“I shot him twice,” Crystal said in between sobs as the ambulance pulled off.

Perry pulled up in his driveway and quickly hopped out his car. He jogged to his front door and hurried inside. He tossed all his money inside a duffel bag, grabbed two suits from his closet, and was right back out the door. He knew he had to get out of town, and do it fast. He couldn't believe what had just happened. Not only did Crystal almost kill him, but he also had to hurry up and flee the scene before the cops arrived. He thought about killing Crystal before he left, but he didn't have enough time.
Perry removed the metal chest protector that he wore over his Kevlar vest from under his shirt and tossed it on the ground. The vest had saved him from being killed, but he was in tremendous pain. The shots he took broke a few of his ribs, but he didn't have time to feel pain. He had to get up out of town.
Perry hopped in his BMW and hit the highway, not knowing where he was headed. All he knew was, he had to get as far away from New York as possible. As he drove, the only thing on his mind was Crystal. He looked at himself through the rearview mirror and smiled. There was no way he planned on letting her get away like that. She would definitely be seeing him again. And sooner than she imagined.
