positioned her on top of him.

"Fine," she mumbled sleepily as she nuzzled his neck as she allowed her fangs to drop and once they did she didn't

hesitate. She was too damn tired and she knew that he wouldn't let her go to sleep until she drank from him and had at least one

bag of the demon blood the Council supplied.

A few minutes later she was more alert and couldn't help but notice the delicious scent Caine was giving off or the large

erection poking her. She shifted her hips, teasing his erection as she continued to feed.

"You know what, Danni?" Caine said as he shifted his hips and thrust home, slowly filling her with his length. "I think that

we're going to have to move making love in bed up the list."

With a smile she pulled her teeth from his neck and pressed a kiss to the already healing skin as she moved back so that

she could look down at him.

"If that's what you want," she said with a small moan as she pushed back.

"It's exactly what I want, Danni," he said, sitting up and wrapping his arms around her as he leaned in and kissed her, "and

you're exactly what I need."

Rerum, New Hampshire

"Hey, beautiful, wanna make all my dreams come true?" a cute guy asked as she walked past him and headed for the door.

"Maybe another night," she said with a smile as she sidestepped a couple coming out of the restaurant.

Her stomach rumbled, urging her on and reminding her that behind those double doors lay the best onion rings in town and

that she of course skipped lunch. Well, she didn't so much as skip it as it was stolen out of the fridge, but that was fine with her.

She'd found the little culprit minutes later, hiding beneath the employee sink as he finished off her roast beef sandwich. Bobby

was five, cute as a button and unfortunately had a mother more interested in getting her next fix, than feeding him. Before she

called it a night at the community center, where she now worked, she made sure that she found him a hot meal and a place to

sleep. Hopefully the social worker she called tonight would be able to do more for him.

She couldn't believe how good things were going for her. She had a job that she really loved, a cute little apartment and

once again she was useful. Here in Rerum she wasn't a disappointment or someone that needed help. But, most importantly she

was no longer that weak woman that she'd been in Boston seven months back and she never wanted to be that woman again.

Here, she was a woman who was about to pig out on some onion rings and-

"Hey! Let go of me!" she snapped when several large men grabbed her and pulled her toward a parked car. Before she

could fight back her hands were yanked back and cuffed and she found herself being pushed into the back of a dark car and onto

someone's lap.

"What the hell is your problem?" she demanded as she pushed up on her knees and moved to kick the hell out of her

assailant the way her brother taught her when the voice that still haunted her dreams stopped her, "Did you miss me, Angel?"
