Violet liqueur can be a bit difficult to obtain. If you can’t find it, consider substituting it with a vanilla liqueur. If you do so, you might wish to add a small dash of pickled lemon juice to the cocktail to help cut through some of the pronounced vanilla sweetness.
This gimlet features the addition of cucumber to the normal gin and lime juice combination. The cucumber adds a lovely cooling touch to the already refreshing drink

Drop the fresh cucumber into the bottom of a short glass and muddle. Add a handful of ice and the rest of the ingredients. Stir.
For the nonpickled lime juice in this recipe, many purists consider Rose’s lime juice to be the only acceptable or “real” version of this recipe. Of course, a purist likely wouldn’t be drinking a pickled gimlet, so feel free to use fresh lime juice if that suits you.
This is a creative blended margarita that picks up a number of unique flavors from the chutney, including the complementary taste of tropical mango!
