Misha: Lanning's Leap (16 page)

“I don’t know.” That surprised him.
Misha started to speak, but Daniel did first. “She’s my niece, I know, but…well, I don’t know her. I’m not even sure where to begin to know her. And if my parents found out? Well, I think…you know what? Fuck it. When can I come out?”

“How about next weekend?
” Daniel asked what was going on then. “I’m marrying your niece. And since you took the time to warn her about her grandparents, I’d very much like to meet you as well. I’ll send a plane for you.”

“I see.”
Daniel laughed. “She’s marrying well, I take it. Doesn’t matter, but my dad will not care for it. He has money as well, a great deal of it, but you’ll never meet a broker man in your life. I’m going to be there. And if you’d send a plane for my wife and me, we’ll enjoy that as well. Thank you.”

After making arrangements
for where to pick him up, Misha leaned back in his chair, only to hop up again. Hannah was taking entirely too long and he was going to find her. Maybe he’d chase her around the woods for a while before he took her to the ground. Smiling, he thought of Daniel, too.

If the man proved to be a pain in the ass, he’d simply chew him up and spit his ass out.
Literally.
