Men For Hire (6 page)

It took a whole lot of willpower for Bree to face him and let him get his fill.

With carnal hunger in his eyes, he inclined his head to her equipment.

Bree went into a full body blush. “You’re going to tie me to that?”

David dragged the end of the black scarf over her thigh. “Would you prefer that I put it together so you can exercise?”

Bree barked a laugh. “What do you think?”

She was so on board with this she got into position, loving the breeze from the fan as David secured her arms to either side of the frame, the same as her ankles. She tugged on her bonds, delighted she couldn’t move. Arching one eyebrow saucily, she murmured, “What now?”

David sank to his knees, pressed his face into her mound and licked her clit.

A shock of heat and indescribable sensations shot through Bree, rendering her speechless. All she could manage was a wanting moan. Before it had faded, David worked two fingers into her cunt, imprisoning her further.

Even her ribald fantasies hadn’t been this great.

Holding her clit carefully between his teeth, David tongued the little nub, giving her no chance to escape. Bree didn’t want any. After a while, the fan couldn’t keep up with the heat pouring through her. Perspiration ran from her temples and throat. Her boobs shimmied with her uneven breaths. Deep within her cunt, lust met with need, creating a miraculous yet maddening feeling.

Each time her climax neared, David seemed to know and slowed his licks, forcing Bree back from the precipice. Once she’d done so, he started again and again, stopping as frequently. She wanted to curse him for frustrating her, praise him too. This was like nothing she’d ever experienced, not even at her own hand.

She rested her head against her shoulder, the damn thing simply weighed too much to keep up. Drawing a breath was more than she could manage on a regular basis. The room spun, her ears rang, David went at her again, allowing relief this time as he worked her clear past orgasm into paradise.

Bree tried to shout her delight, but couldn’t. It felt as though she’d burst from her body then drifted down on a wave of ecstasy nothing else could match.

Panting, she lost all track of time after that, consumed by David’s attention to her needs. For hours it seemed, he delivered her to new climaxes, one wilder than the other, all of them blending into a haze of delight.

Finally, he carried her to the bed, his kiss deep and impassioned. During the rest of the night, they made love several times, him on top, missionary style. Bree didn’t complain. She loved looking at his face darkened with desire, his chest heaving from his struggle to breathe.

More,
her heart kept whispering before she drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

She woke with a start, uncertain what had roused her.

Possibly the watery sun bleeding through the windows. Damn, it was morning, though work wasn’t until Monday. Pleased, she rolled over, expecting to collide with David but bumped into his pillow instead.

He’d left?

Of course, he did
. He had a life to get back to. Last night had been fun, but it wasn’t—

“You’re up.” Naked, he padded to the bed and offered Bree a glass of orange juice.

She almost blurted “you’re still here?” but didn’t, not wanting him to misunderstand and think she wanted him to leave. “Thanks. What time is it?”

“A little after eight. Why?” He stopped rubbing her calf. “You have to go to work?”

Bree shook her head. “Not until Monday. You?”

“Monday afternoon, a meeting with investors for my start-up.” David sat on the mattress and finished his juice. “Hungry?”

With him, always. “I can make us breakfast, if you’d like.”

“Brilliant. I’m a crappy cook.”

“No problem. You’re good at other stuff.” She reached over and cradled his cock in her palm. Even flaccid, he was one hung dude.

He laughed. “Glad you think so. We really should put that thing together today.” He inclined his head toward her exerciser.

“No need to rush.”

David’s smile faded, his expression suddenly intense. “Not at all. We want to do it right so it lasts.”

Bree’s heart turned over. Deep inside, she knew neither of them was talking about the equipment but rather what might be happening between them. Leaning toward him, she cradled David’s cheek in her palm, loving his morning bristles. “A favor?”

“Sure. If I can manage it.”

“Don’t shave.”

“Ever?”

“Today.”

“How about tomorrow?”

She smiled. “We’ll talk about it then, okay?”

He answered her with a kiss, tender and searching before it turned wonderfully untamed.

They made out for minutes, taking their time as though they had plenty with more to spare.

Nude and loving it, Bree finally padded into the kitchen to start breakfast. David turned the fan in her direction then studied the manual, their silence comfortable.

Lightheaded with happiness, she went about her work, eager for today, looking forward to tomorrow, delighted that in her search for muscle, she’d ended up with one helluva man.

Chapter One

N
aomi sighed wearily as she placed the candles in their holder in the center of the dining table. She usually enjoyed organizing dinner parties, but not this time. Richard had been the sociable one in their relationship; she had just smiled and made polite conversation with their friends—
his
friends, mostly. But tonight was different. This event had been arranged months ago, when they were still together, but there was no backing out now. Tonight she was going to show them how well she was coping. She’d show
him
.

Titivating the flowers one more time, she allowed her mind to drift a little. When Richard had gone off with Paula—her supposed best friend—she had been angry but not really surprised. Those two had always got on well, better than she and Richard toward the end, truth be told. It still hurt, though. She pretended it didn’t matter, but it did. This party was the first event they had actually arranged for her benefit, not Richard’s. Paula and Rob were supposed to be coming along with Sasha and Trev as well as Paula’s contact from the publishers and his wife. Richard and she were going to be the perfect hosts while she tried to schmooze her way into a lucrative contract for her latest novel. Everyone was behind her—they were her friends, after all, weren’t they? When Paula and Rob split up Trev had been livid with Paula—he and Rob had been friends since school so it was only natural that he would stick up for his mate. Sasha had been really apologetic when she explained to Naomi that they wouldn’t be coming tonight, which was disappointing but understandable.

Naomi didn’t want to lose Paula as a friend, not just because she had the most useful contacts, working for a leading publisher, but because she had been a really good friend to her over the years. Naomi always valued her friendships over her romantic relationships, which is probably why she was always unlucky in love, she mused.

A sudden scratching noise from over by the fireplace made her jump and she looked over, frowning. Now what? She felt edgy enough without more problems. As she neared the large chimney breast, she heard it getting louder and she huffed irritably. That’s all she needed today!

The sound of a bird chirping interrupted her thoughts as she pulled her mobile from her jeans pocket and she swiped through
Google
, trying to find a chimney sweep. Removing wayward birds from the chimney had always been Richard’s forte and she wouldn’t have a clue where to start. As the ‘A’s zoomed down the directory, an advert caught her eye ‘All jobs undertaken.’ That would be quicker than searching the local sweeps, so she quickly clicked on the number.

“Hello, my name’s Naomi Powell and I need a chimney sweep straight away,” she told the woman from Men for Hire. She hoped she hadn’t come across as abrupt and rude, as she was more anxious and worried than anything else.

“No problem, Naomi. What’s the address?” The woman at the other end sounded really friendly, which helped calm Naomi’s nerves a little, and she gave her the details.

“I’ve got a couple of guys over that way right now,” the girl said cheerfully. “They’ll be with you in about ten minutes, is that okay?”

“Perfect.” She slipped the mobile back into her pocket with a sigh of relief. She was so nervous about the party she just couldn’t cope with any other dramas on top.

Tonight was the first time she would see Richard and Paula together as a couple, and with Rob having dropped out saying it would just be too awkward for him—which she could understand—that left her playing gooseberry.
Terrific!
She grimaced at the lonely chair at the head of the table,
her
chair. To make matters worse, the table sat eight, so she had to space everyone out and remove some chairs, making it look even more obvious there were guests missing. It was too short notice to invite anyone to take their places even if she knew any suitable friends. The thought suddenly reminded her that she hadn’t yet told the caterers about the change in numbers and she went to retrieve the phone just as she heard the doorbell. Abandoning the call idea, she went straight to the door. Two gorgeous hunks were smiling at her, holding all manner of cloths, brushes and poles.

“Hi. Naomi?”

“Yes. You must be the sweep,” she murmured to the stunning beefcake in front of her.

“I suppose that makes me Sooty,” the other guy, a veritable Adonis, chimed in, chuckling.

Naomi blushed, realizing how stupid she must have sounded. Who else would they be? “Come on in.”

“I’m James and this is Aaron,” the first guy told her with a smile which would put Donny Osmond to shame.

She was relieved that they looked clean and she marveled at their muscles as they walked gracefully through to the dining room. Both were dressed in denim shorts and muscle shirts, and their boots shone. James produced a large white sheet which he laid out on the rug by the hearth.

“There’s a bird in my breast,” she blurted out before thinking.
Oh God!

The guys smirked. “I’m sure we can handle that,” James assured her with a salacious grin. He was fair and his blue eyes twinkled with mirth.

“I–I meant…” She could see from his expression that any attempt to explain would be utterly fruitless so she gave up.

Blushing, she tore her eyes from him and looked over to Aaron, only to see he had raised an eyebrow in question. He was dark-haired and his chocolate eyes smoldered sexily as he watched her.

For the first time in years, Naomi felt her pussy clench and she gasped with embarrassment. These guys were gorgeous; probably a couple of years younger than her thirty-eight years, and both had an unholy effect on her body. She had never felt anything like this before and found it unnerving to say the least.

James took the brush and carefully inserted the end of a pole into it to extend it. Naomi absent-mindedly licked her lips as she watched; suddenly wishing he was inserting his ‘pole’ inside her. She was mortified when she caught his expression and knew he was reading her mind. He grinned. She blushed.

“Is it a private party?” Aaron took a step toward her and she instantly felt his heat.

Her whole body tingled at his proximity and she gasped for air. Her throat felt dry and she was sure she was trembling. “Wh–what?”

He leaned into her and she felt his breath on her ear.
Oh God!
He smelled as good as he looked—
Georgio Armani
, she thought, impressed.

“You’re having a dinner party,” he murmured into her ear.

The words didn’t matter, his tone said it all. She felt her pussy gush again and was sure she was already soaking through her jeans. She cursed herself for wearing them in the first place, it was a hot day, why hadn’t she just worn a … ? Her thoughts were cut off instantly as she felt him nuzzle her hair and she stared up at him, her heart hammering. His dark eyes seared hers as though he was looking through to her very soul and she gasped. His lips looked moist and slightly parted and she was tempted to reach up and take them in hers, sucking and biting the living daylights out of them. They were so close to hers now she only had to…

Gotcha
!”

Her head snapped around as James spoke and she felt a jolt inside her, as though she had been caught in the act. Her whole body tingled and she felt herself flush as she tried to comprehend what was going on.
