Love Notes ((Book Two of the Heartbeat Series)) (2 page)

As Rand slowly rises up next to me licking his lips with the biggest grin, I reach below to feel to the zipper holding him tightly restrained. Slowly, I release him from his jeans. Fleeting thoughts passed my mind, to be in a compromising situation like this with so many workers surrounding the property that at any moment any of them could walk in on us…it actually made the moment more intimate and exciting and we couldn’t take our hands off one another. It didn’t take too long until we were one with our bodies and I felt a rush of emotion race through me as yet another tear slid down my cheek. Rand noticed and looked intently into my eyes and licked the droplet away. I was filled with Rand soulfully and completely. I felt the pulsation of us beating in my core together.

As we usually are interrupted in our heated moments, this was special as it seemed a long time we were there with one another and no one calling for us. This day was a new beginning, affirmation of love, and a relationship that should have happened a long time ago. I pulled back from Rand, my gorgeous fiancé, and smiled with pleasure that over flowed in my chest. I pulled up my lace panties that had a small gem heart appliqué on them and pulled and retied my warm up pants again just in time for the barn door to open wide with the Rolling Isaac’s band members entering with their jovial personalities.

“Hey you two, are you ready for today?” Ron asked.

“We already got our festivities started” Rand answered with a wink.

Isaac came over and hugged me and kissed my head and then slapped Rand on the back. Kent and Raeford were still outdoors so as we exited like two young lovers, hand in hand, we gave a wave and I blew them a kiss as we headed back to the house.

I had never seen so much action at this property since I met Rand, except possibly on his New Years Eve Party, but that was indoors. Here today, the outside looked like there was going to be a politician speaking as the chairs were all lined up in a procession and everyone had an important element of their job to accomplish.

Downstairs in the house all the hired staff for this day had it together and upstairs as the wedding gown was hanging on display in the master bedroom waiting to be stepped into. There were people here to assist in dressing us for the ceremony and to fix our hair and makeup. As Rand and I meandered down the long hallway on the second floor of the house to take a shower, he tugged at my fingers and slid me quietly into one of his many guest bedrooms. He pulled the door shut slowly until he heard it catch and click. Here we go again this morning, round two. This time he latched the lock and then picked me up and laid me onto the guest bed. He shoved away the pillows and then he lowered himself over top of me and I felt the strands of his dark hair sweep over my skin sending a tingle throughout my body. We both had to remain completely quiet for we knew there were others just feet down the hall. I had to turn my head into the one remaining pillow beside me to muffle my excitement as my fiancé took control of kissing my entire body from a lick trailing down my neck then to a rest stop on my breasts and then to hearing him repeat, “You are so lovely Madison, you finally are truly mine.” I knew my being with Rand going forward would be the best gift my lifetime had brought to me. After taking our time with one another and making certain we were both, for the moment, sexually satisfied we curled up into one another’s arms. It was then that I looked at the clock on the wall, I jumped up. I knew I had to get moving to the shower and to getting beautiful for this wedding to begin.

“I’ll see you soon,” Rand spoke with a smile and a shine in his eyes. I think there may have been tears forming. But I will always remember that glisten to his blue look, the shimmer that shown as I observed him and know I was the one that brought it to his eyes. He is all mine.

I entered the master bedroom once I pulled myself together and headed to the shower only to be stopped to hug and kiss my mother Grace waiting there half dressed and looking beautiful and then Jillian was there finishing her makeup and said to me, “Madison you need to get started, get in there and get cleaned up now.” I hugged my sister friend as I walked to the master bath. Jillian for a quick moment came to me and hugged me and then let out a laugh in my hair, she knew I had just been in bed with my fiancé. “I think you had a fun morning, you smell of sex,” she smirked at me with a wink.

Since Jillian is always telling me about her trysts with Raeford, I couldn’t resist and I said to her, “Oh Jillian we had sex, and more sex, we can’t keep our hands off one another.” I couldn’t keep a straight face, I started laughing.

“Seriously Madison you better get moving or there won’t be a wedding today.”

“I’m going, but God it was good, we hit the barn wall and the room next door!” I added still amused.

“I thought I heard moans and groans just a minute ago, so please stop telling me this, or I will be jumping Raeford before they start to play the music for us to come down the aisle.”

After my soothing shower and I washed away the worries that something would not go smoothly today, I stepped out and went into the den of hired women to beautify me. Before I left the room I glanced over with a large smile to view my long simple crème gown with a cascading black lace sash and knew how handsome Rand would look in his black tux and crème shirt. I couldn’t wait to take that off of him later after the ceremony. Actually the Band agreed to all get dressed in tuxes today, which was a huge surprise to me. I asked them to dress for the occasion but I was thrilled they actually agreed. These guys could look fantastic in a garbage bag. Honestly this entire band was the hottest guys I had ever seen in one area together.

I was staring at my finished self in the mirror and liked what was looking back at me. Here I was confident and all made up, extra makeup and my hair styled, I appeared so put together and pretty, yes today I felt and embodied pretty. I, Jillian and my mother had a group hug. The photographer did not miss this photo opportunity. It was a mirror image of three happy women. This year had brought to us my new relationship with Rand, Jillian and Raeford progressing with their dating and my mother reentering my life with her love, my Uncle Jake. There was a light tap on the door and Jillian slightly opened it to see Jake there stunningly handsome in his tux all buttoned up nicely and Rand behind him with a contemporary take to his tuxedo keeping the shirt opened at the top with no tie or vest. I saw just the edge of him with his hair freshly washed and still drying that rested on his shirt collar. I caught only a glimpse of his eyes and the blue color soothed my nerves and made me calm.

Jillian shouted, “Get out of here, you can’t see the bride before the ceremony! And no sex till after you are married,” she shut the door quickly. I wonder who came up with all these to do’s for what you can do and not do on a wedding day. I mean really you see this person for so long and suddenly the moment you are committing yourself to them permanently you are forbidden.

“We were just checking on you girls, the minister is here and ready to begin,” Jake hollered through the solid wood door. We waited and then heard silence so we knew they left from outside the door. We peeked out the window and watched their backsides as they walked to the decorated arbor location and what a fine vision it was. Even my mother was smiling and taking in the rear view of my Uncle Jake. I reached for my mother’s hand and took it into my two palms cuffed over hers and said, “Let’s do this, it’s here, today is actually happening. Mom I love you, I am so glad to be here with you on this day.”

“Madison this is a dream come true.”

“I am so happy mom, really I am.”

“I share that happiness with you and hope too for many more years.”

“Oh please girls, let’s get this party started!” Jillian exclaimed.

The music that played for our small simple paced procession to the arbor was delivered in tunes from Rolling Isaac’s. I wore a big smile as I saw each of them dressed in their formal wear. Then it was the sneakers on Kent that made me chuckle hard. Raeford was wearing black sleek boots, and along with the sunglasses on Ron’s head I saw the bright red tee shirt under his tux jacket instead of the crisp crème shirt that was given to them all. Somehow even though they expressed their individuality of formal dressing with changes, I knew this day was still going to be sheer perfection.

Rand was standing at the front and appeared nervous; he was talking to Maxwell who stood to his left side. He glanced down at me in the line up and winked. This sent a chill through my entire being. He formed his lips together, bringing them to a simple pucker and sent an air kiss that I knew landed itself right on my lips as I licked them to savor the taste of the invisible touch. Jillian began the walk toward the arbor setting. She had chosen a short version of a formal dress that was strapless black lace with a crème underlay and had a red sash that flowed longer than the dress length and she looked stunning as she moved forward and looked toward Raeford. He stopped to peek up at her from his drum and missed a beat; everyone laughed graciously breaking the nervous energy that surrounded this moment.

I was pulled in closely to my mother and we walked down the aisle together. My mother looked so young and lovely next to me. She wore a crème satin fitted halter gown that shimmered in the afternoon sun. It looked like tiny rainbows arched over the fabric as she moved forward. I think I felt her hand shake in mine as we walked proudly as mother and daughter to stand in front of the minister. “Who gives this lovely woman away today in marriage?” the minister questioned and I glanced in her eyes and spoke up proudly, “I do,” as today was finally the day my mother and Jake would be tying the knot in confirmation of their long awaited love story. I cried as I released my hand from hers onto Jake’s awaiting secure hand. I looked to Rand grinning and he calmed me and he allowed me to silently take hold of my emotion so that I didn’t break down in front of them. I was so pleased that Rand was the best man for this day since Jake had taken such a liking to him and also to Maxwell that you would think they were family already.

I cannot recall the actual words that were exchanged between my mother and Jake but I know I heard a few pieces of them and that they were from the cheat list that I had written for her in case she was nervous. I was so thankful that Rand and I had brought this day to them and made it happen. It had been just six months back that Rand brought my mother and uncle back into my life after so many years of not having them and this all seemed surreal. Being here, like I was having an out of body experience as I thought this was all a dream. Finally, after so many years without my mother, having here her inches from me and also having my uncle there and experiencing their love for one another was so memorable. I thought about how simply everything flowed from that moment Rand brought her back to me on Christmas day to the days that lead to today. Since I was now staying at Rand’s home it was so easy to relocate my mother and uncle to take up residence in my townhome. They loved it there once they agreed to move back to Pennsylvania. It took them just a short time to get readjusted from the weather of Galveston, Texas to the cold weather in Pennsylvania once again, but their hearts warmed them enough to be back close to me and all of us back in each other’s lives.

My elbow was nudged by Jillian, and I came back to the present event of the marriage unfolding in front of me. I knew that somewhere above in the heavens that my father was resting peacefully and someway he was happy that all this was unfolding on the grounds below. He loved my mother and he loved his brother as well. The sun was shining radiant beams overhead brilliantly and it was simply a perfect day. I looked up to the heavens and smiled. Jillian reached up to my ear and whispered, “I know what you’re thinking,” and she surely did. I winked at her letting her know I was comforted in my thoughts.

Beside me my mother stands surrounded with happiness and not just for today, I know it will carry with her in the days ahead. To see this devotion my Uncle Jake has in his piercing look into her eyes, it makes me so happy to have put together this entire day for them to celebrate and finally unite as a couple.

The rest of their union in marriage went so beautifully and as we all paired together and to move from the ceremony to photographs, there was one location I left instructions for a picture moment not to be missed. I recall when I first moved in with Rand, I only brought a few personal items, my clothes, my writings but I did add one lovely new item. I selected a bench and had it placed out near the far corner of the property in front of the flower garden. I told him it would be our place to sit and reflect all of our past loved ones, his twin Ashley, his mother Angela, his grandfather and my father who recently passed.

From time to time he and I would sit there in silence and take in the colorful floral view. It was a personal setting to be at peace with those we lost and a way to keep them close to our hearts here on the property. Rand loved this idea when I first mentioned it to him. Today this bench will play a different part as it will be a charming backdrop for many memorable wedding photographs.

In addition to the posed shots the photographer took, some very comical candid shots were captured as well. As he gave us all the go ahead to enjoy the reception, I felt Rand’s fingers sweep across the sash of my gown. He rested them on the edge of my hip and tucked a few fingers to hold on tightly to the edges of the lace fabric. He dipped into my ear and whispered, “I want you to marry me. Let’s get things picked out soon, like a date and a ring, let’s do this.” I tipped my head toward his soft whispering and told him with my eyes how truly happy I was. I nodded to him in agreement as I knew in the days ahead it would be our memorable wedding day. There would be a ring on my left finger that would shine and display the love I feel that warms me. All the moments of a wedding day flow together so quickly and it was all too soon that it was the midst of the reception and everyone is dancing, eating and having the best time. The Rolling Isaac’s had kept to a lesser rock version of music and played mostly all their favorite covers. It was when I pushed toward the bar area to get a glass of wine, I placed my order with the caterer’s bartender and I then saw Rand approach the microphone. I knew what he had been practicing lately and this was going to be a very special song for the newly married couple. I turned my back toward the bartender and rested myself there against the bar to watch Rand as he was about to sing. Rand took hold of the microphone like us ladies take to shoes, we slip them on and we know they fit perfectly. He held onto it and began to speak. I hung onto his every word.
