Little Miss and the Law (2 page)

Mackenzie's place turned out to be an apartment. A lovely open plan affair with deep, luxurious carpets and interesting tribal style art works on the walls. Mackenzie showed Stephanie the shower and Stephanie gratefully took advantage of it, sighing happily as jets of hot water covered her body and massaged away many of the cares of the day. She emerged wrapped in fluffy towels.

"You and I need to have a little talk," Mackenzie noted from the kitchen, from which delicious spicy smells were emanating. Stephanie's mouth watered as she nodded.

Mackenzie stepped out of the kitchen, wooden spatula in hand. "We'll have dinner in a moment, but I think we need to have a conversation first," she said, tapping the head of the spatula against her palm.

"Okay," Stephanie agreed innocently, her mind consumed with thoughts of what smelled very much like a butter chicken dish.

Mackenzie approached slowly, her expression stern. "I assume that, by now, you know well enough that a car needs petrol to run, yes?

"Gas, yes," Stephanie nodded. She was in trouble. Still, all she had to do was wait out the lecture.

"And I assume that you know well enough that the situation you put yourself in tonight was exceedingly dangerous?"

"Well, yes, but it was an accident." Stephanie examined the carpet closely, avoiding the look Mackenzie was giving her, a look that was making her feel very guilty indeed.

"It was not an accident. It was neglect. You neglected to fill your car, and you neglected to charge your cell phone. It makes one wonder what else you are neglecting." Mackenzie's tone was calm, but firm, and she reached out to take Stephanie's chin lightly between her thumb and forefinger, making her meet her gaze.

"You deserve a good spanking, my dear."

Stephanie gasped. "Oh, please, Mackenzie, no."

"Yes. Tonight. Yes. Tomorrow you may leave and never see me again if you so choose. But tonight you learn that actions, and negligence have consequences."

Mackenzie sat down on the couch and beckoned to Stephanie, who shook her head furiously.

"I can't!" she whimpered.

"Yes you can, you just come over here and I will do the rest."

"Mackenzie, please, I... please don't do this."

Stephanie was squirming in place now, clutching her towel about her waist protectively.

"You think you don't deserve a spanking?"

"Well.." Stephanie could hardly deny that.

"Then come here and receive it, little one," Mackenzie said, her tone almost hypnotic.

Stephanie stamped her foot. "I can't!" she cried, frustration overtaking her, tears beginning to flow from her pretty eyes.

"Yes, you can." Mackenzie was unmoved. "Come here, Stephanie."

Stephanie found herself plopping down on the couch next to Mackenzie. "Fine. I am here," she said sullenly.

Mackenzie raised an eyebrow. "You've been such a good girl so far Stephanie, don't ruin it now."

"No I haven't been, you wouldn't want to hit me if I had been, would you?" Stephanie snapped back, one hand covering her bottom.

"Stephanie..." There was a note of warning in Mackenzie's tone.

"What? Just leave me alone!" Stephanie snapped again, making to stand up, she should never have played along this far.

Mackenzie's hand closed around her wrist and prevented her from moving.

"What has so you agitated now, little one?" she asked calmly.

"Nothing, I just don't want to be spanked," Stephanie replied.

A light tap at the side of her face got her attention. "Don't ever lie to me again, Stephanie," Mackenzie warned her, her light eyes beginning to darken with displeasure. The little slap almost bought Stephanie to her senses. Almost.

"I'm not lying!" she lied.

"I warned you." They were the last words Stephanie heard before she was bodily hauled over Mackenzie's lap, the towel stripped away to leave her as naked and bare as the day she was born.

"Oh my," Mackenzie noted softly. [http://www.superiorz.org]

Tears welled in Stephanie's eyes. She knew exactly what she was talking about, the ugly branded scar on her lower left cheek.

"Where did you get this, little one?" Mackenzie asked, wrapping her arm around Stephanie's waist.

"It was from a Mistress years ago. I thought she loved me. She branded me and left me a week later." The confession tumbled out, fraught with shame and embarrassment.

"I see," Mackenzie said.

"She said she did it to spoil me for others. They would see the mark and know I would never be theirs." Stephanie cried, ashamed of how stupid she had been.

Mackenzie began to rock softly, and Stephanie craned her head up and around to see that she was laughing.

"Why are you laughing at me?" she cried, her heart breaking.

"Oh no no, I am not laughing at you little one. I am laughing at the sort of idiot who thinks that branding someone changes who they are and who they are owned by. A woman is owned by love and discipline, not by the marks she bears."

Mackenzie bent down and kissed Stephanie's bare cheek lightly. "And you should know better as well, little one," she said with mock severity.

"I.. I don't know," Stephanie said miserably. It had been the worst day ever, and now she was naked and bared over the lap of a woman she had hoped might like her. She would never like her now, now she knew how silly she was.

The back of the wooden spoon slapping against her right cheek brought her squealing back to her senses.

"You will learn better," Mackenzie said firmly, setting to spanking Stephanie's bottom quite soundly with the wooden spoon. Every slap made her yowl out in pain and squirm like a little girl.

"You will remember what you already know," Mackenzie reiterated somewhat mysteriously, slapping the spoon along the lower edge of Stephanie's cheeks, making her bottom bounce and her legs scissor with kicking strokes. Stephanie knew all too well how much she was exposed, her soft, shaved self open to Mackenzie's gaze. But Mackenzie did not make comment, nor touch her, nor take advantage in any way. If anything, she treated Stephanie's naked state as nothing more than a necessity for discipline.

Stephanie had been crying before the spanking began, and she continued to sniffle throughout it as Mackenzie made sure her whole bottom was thoroughly covered with smacks from the wooden spoon.

"I will expect better from you, little one, much better," she lectured softly, patting Stephanie's red cheeks when she was done.

"Yes Ma'am," Stephanie agreed. Her entire backside stung as if a swarm of wasps had attacked it, and the long forgotten, but familiar ache of a well spanked bottom was sinking into her flesh, calming her spirit in a way nothing else ever cold. Her tears had dried on her cheeks with comforting words and Mackenzie's palm rubbing her lower back, treating Stephanie as if she really was the little girl she was fast coming to feel like.

"There's a robe in the bedroom over there, go put it on before dinner," Mackenzie said, easing Stephanie up off her lap and dropping an affectionate kiss on her forehead.

Stephanie trotted off, both hands rubbing her bare, red bottom, feeling light and at ease. Though she barely knew her, Mackenzie treated her with a maternal benevolence, one that assumed a right to discipline, but one that also left Stephanie feeling more safe and more content than she had in a long time.

Stephanie learned something else that night too. Butter chicken tastes best when eaten sitting on a pillow on a well spanked bottom.

Chapter Two

Glancing over her morning paper, Mackenzie watched Stephanie pick at her breakfast. She was so waif-like that it was difficult for Mackenzie to resist the urge to take her in her arms then and there and cuddle her up and keep her safe from the world. There was something fragile about her spirit that called out to be looked after, but as the scar on her backside demonstrated, it also acted as a beacon to those of ill intent.

“What?” Stephanie met her gaze briefly, then dropped it again.

Mackenzie smiled. “I'm just pondering your next punishment.”

The clattering of a spoon dropped in a cereal bowl broke the silence as Stephanie looked at Mackenzie with wide eyes. A few faint splatters of milk had arced across the glass topped coffee table and now began seeping into the unread sports section of the paper.

“But...”

“It is inevitable my dear. You have mischief written across your face.” Mackenzie smiled as she folded her paper and unfolded her long legs.

“Oh,” Stephanie blushed and giggled.

“Yes. Oh. Have you called in yet today?” Mackenzie reminded her.

Stephanie's face fell. “Uh, well, I really have to go in, you know, because I've missed a lot of work lately and if I miss anymore its going to look very bad.”

It was an innocent enough statement, but Mackenzie was wise enough to recognize the subtext that lay behind the words. She'd been an employer far too long not to know what it meant when an employee started missing a lot of work.

“Really? Why have you been missing so much work?” she asked casually, topping up her coffee. She'd already called in herself. If the previous evening's events had shown her anything, it was that Stephanie would be needing her time this morning.

Stephanie seemed mesmerized, watching Mackenzie's long, strong fingers as they manipulated the spoon around her coffee cup.

“Hm? Care to explain?” Mackenzie prompted her. Others might have found Stephanie's silence annoying, but there was just enough of the gawky youth about the woman to remind Mackenzie that Stephanie was not entirely at ease in this strange apartment with this strange woman who had already taken significant liberties with her person.

“Well, I've been sick a bit,” Stephanie claimed, examining her feet.

Mackenzie knew instantly that she was lying. First of all, the girl wasn't very good at lying, she didn't even know enough to maintain eye contact throughout the duration of the lie. Secondly, as a lawyer, Mackenzie had spent a good portion of the last twenty years learning the art of gentle interrogation and had developed a rather keen nose for the truth.

“Stephanie, I want you to get up and go to the corner next to the lamp over there.” Mackenzie gestured towards a corner of the apartment that stood empty. Her tone was calm, casual even, but was no less serious for it.

“What? Why!” Stephanie exclaimed, clearly taken off guard.

“I'd like you to do some corner time before I spank you for lying to me,” Mackenzie replied, fixing her steel blue gaze on the unfortunate miscreant.

“But.. okay.. I'm sorry.. I just didn't...” Stephanie babbled her way towards the truth.

“We will sort all of that out after I am done with your punishment.” Mackenzie picked up her newspaper again and returned to reading, clearly demonstrating that she expected to be obeyed without any fuss. Stephanie sat there for a moment or two, looking befuddled. Eventually she got up and reluctantly shuffled towards the corner.

The apartment was quiet for the next quarter of an hour as Mackenzie read her paper and Stephanie stood dutifully in the corner like a school girl. There was no way she could have known it, but Mackenzie was impressed with her. More than impressed in fact. There were few women left in the world able to accept that kind of instruction, but then again Stephanie was unique. She had known that the moment she'd laid eyes on her in that cafe. Stephanie was special, and Mackenzie had already decided that she would take very, very good care of her.

After a time, Mackenzie roused herself from the kitchen table and took a seat on the couch.

“Stephanie.” She crooked a long, elegant finger as Stephanie turned to her. She was only wearing her blouse and panties, and she looked the very picture of naughty vulnerability as she made her way over to Mackenzie. She stopped in front of her, blushing profusely.

“I don't want you to ever lie to me again. It is not only disrespectful to me, it is disrespectful to you. Do you understand?”

“Yes Ma'am,” Stephanie nodded, wringing her hands in front of her.

“Now over my lap you go.”

She was light over Mackenzie's lap, but she squirmed with nervousness as Mackenzie wrapped her arm around her waist and hooked her thumb in the waistband of her panties and drew them down to her knees.
