I Can Make You Hot! (5 page)

Hot Thirty

Go for a 20-minute run.
Do ballet squats for 3 minutes.
Do the Downward Dog to a Plank for 3 minutes.
Do 5 Bridges.
With your back against the wall, squat so that your thighs are parallel to the ground and your butt is off the floor. Hold this position for 2 minutes. To help the time pass as you multiprocess, call your mom or a friend on your cell and complain about how much your legs are hurting!

Run for your life! I know that if you’re not a runner, the whole idea can make you tired before you’ve even begun. But there are ways to make it fun. Here are a few of my HOT tips for having a fun run:
Make a “HOT pact” to run with a friend. Not only will you be more likely to do it if you’ve made a date, but also you can vent all your frustrations and tribulations about everything in your life while you’re running. Get it all out and save the money you would have spent on therapy for a pair of hot new shoes. The secret is that if you’re both running, your friend won’t be able to hear half the things you’re saying anyway; don’t hold back.
Run in the street instead of on the sidewalk. I took a lot of flack for this when they filmed me on Season 2 of the
Real Housewives of New York City
. The thing is, I think that people walking down the street while texting are a lot more dangerous than a car. Drivers will go out of their way to avoid you (accidents are too much paperwork, and they really mess up a day), but strolling texters will walk right into you without even seeing you. You could also get smacked by a shopping bag, a stroller, or even an oversized purse. Sidewalks are really obstacle courses. Beware!
Watch out for bicycle messengers.
Avoid smokers.
Jump over potholes and count how many you have jumped.
Wear clothing that isn’t going to invite the kinds of comments you don’t want to hear, such as “Come run my way!”
Take money for a coffee at the end of your run.
