Hot Billionaire Sex (10 page)

Stacey saw the dark brown eyes fixed on her face and the embarrassment gave way to another flicker of attraction as she met the gaze. “Sure,” she finally said, the idea of meeting the bar owner again suddenly something that she wanted to do. She reached into her bag, took out a business card and handed it over. “You can get me at my work number during the day.”

“Thanks,” Ethan said as he stood and smiled. “Enjoy the wine and congratulations on your success. I’ll look forward to seeing you again soon.” Stacey watched as he disappeared out of the bar. She lifted a hand to her face and a rueful grin settled on her lips as she felt the heat in her cheeks. It was started by the embarrassment, but she realized it was partly to do with the flush of attraction as well. She couldn’t deny that Ethan was handsome and that there seemed to be a spark of something between them. Well at least from her point of view there was a spark of something and she suddenly found herself hoping the bar owner might feel the same. As she sat contemplating their conversation, she picked up her drink to finish it. Trashing the look of a bar to the owner, she thought, way to go Stacey. She put the empty glass down then took a last look around the bar before she finally got up and left to go home.

In the next few days Stacey’s attention was fully focused on her upcoming meeting with Barry Cooper and her encounter with Ethan was pushed to the back of her mind. The hard work she put in was worth it and she walked away from the meeting on the Thursday evening satisfied that it went well. The last thing was to sign the contract and seal the deal, but she needed to wait until it was prepared, with Barry promising that he would have it to her by the end of the following week. There was nothing she could do until the contract arrived and on the Friday morning she turned her mind back to the other work her business was involved in. Just before lunch she lifted her gaze from the papers on her desk as the door of her office opened and she saw her secretary, Holly, standing looking into the room.

“There’s someone here to see you,” Holly said.

Stacey frowned. “I haven’t forgotten a meeting have I?” she asked.

Holly shook her head. “The man said he didn’t have an appointment, but asked if you were here.”

“Someone I know?” Stacey asked, standing up from the desk.

“He’s certainly never been here before,” Holly said. “I would have remembered. His name is Ethan Walker.”

Stacey raised her eyebrows. “He’s here? Right now?” she asked. A flush of heat worked through her body at the realization she was about to see the bar owner again.

“I made him wait in reception,” the secretary replied.

“OK, well show him in,” Stacey said and sat down again. Her nerves were suddenly rising at the prospect of seeing the bar owner again and she worked to calm herself as she waited. “Hi,” she said, getting to her feet and holding out a hand as Ethan was shown into her office. She felt the slight shiver that rippled along her spine when the bar owner took her hand. As happened when they first met, she needed to pull her hand out of his grasp when he held on a little longer than necessary. “Take a seat,” she said and motioned to the chair on the opposite side of her desk.

“Sorry to drop in on you unannounced,” he said. “I was just passing by and thought I would see if we could set up a meeting for you to have another look at my bar.”

“You were…, just passing by?” The words were out before Stacey could stop them and she flushed a little at the leading question she’d asked.

Ethan laughed. “OK, you saw through my little white lie,” he said with a grin. “Setting up a meeting seemed like a convenient excuse to come and see you face to face. I thought about phoning, but the lure of seeing your pretty face again made me come here.”

Stacey flushed a little more at the compliment. She felt a slight thrill at the fact that Ethan had gone out of his way to come and see her and she couldn’t help wondering if he felt the same spark of attraction that she did. “OK,” she finally said as she continued trying to calm her nerves. “When are you free for a meeting?”

“I’m available tomorrow, if you are,” he said.

“Tomorrow is Saturday?” she replied.

“I know, but I am away all next week and after tomorrow won’t be available until towards the end of the week after,” he replied. “That seemed like an awful long time to wait before I got the chance to meet you for a second time.”

Stacey smiled. It seemed that the bar owner was keen to see her again as soon as possible and she felt a flicker of excitement at his eagerness. “Well I don’t normally work the weekend…,” she said.

“But…,” he said, fixing his gaze on her.

“Well, if you’re not available for a while after tomorrow I guess I can make an exception,” she replied.

The smile widened on the bar owner’s face. “That’s good of you. Could you meet me at the bar at three o’clock?”

“Sure, I’d be happy to,” she said. She felt her pulse jump at the prospect of the meeting and suddenly couldn’t tear her eyes from the handsome face. As Ethan stood, she followed suit and when he held onto her hand this time as they shook she made no effort to pull it away. The spark of attraction suddenly seemed to ignite. Before she knew what was happening, Ethan was pulling her forward by the hand and leaning towards her across the desk. Stacey felt the heat rise in her body and even the sudden sound of the phone ringing didn’t break the moment as their lips touched. Stacey shuddered at the gentle caress of the kiss and closed her eyes. She didn’t even notice the phone stop ringing, but a few seconds later the door of her office opened and Stacey suddenly pulled back. She looked to see Holly standing watching.

“Umm…, sorry to interrupt,” the secretary said, “but Barry Cooper is on the line. He says he needs to talk to you and I thought it might be important.”

“OK, thanks Holly,” Stacey said, her face flushing red at the embarrassment of being caught. She looked at Ethan, but he seemed unconcerned by the intrusion and just smiled at her. “I really need to take this call,” she said.

“No problem,” he said and pulled his hand away. He turned to look at Holly. “I’m sure this lovely young lady will show me out. I’ll see you tomorrow.” With a final smile in Stacey’s direction, he walked to the door of the office. Holly grinned at her boss as she closed the door and Stacey sat and tried to calm her racing pulse a little. She finally picked up the phone.

“Sorry to keep you waiting Barry,” she started. “What can I do for you?” When the phone call ended Stacey tried to concentrate on her work, but her mind kept coming back to the following day’s meeting with Ethan. The feel of the kiss seemed to linger on her lips and she wondered just what was in store when she went to meet him at his bar.

“Enjoy your meeting tomorrow,” Holly said with a cheeky grin when she came to say goodnight at the end of the day. “Don’t work too hard like this morning.”

“Get out,” laughed Stacey and threw a pencil across the room.

Holly quickly closed the door and left. After another thirty minutes of work, Stacey finally followed her secretary out the door and headed for home.

The following morning Stacey slept late and it was almost ten o’clock by the time she finally headed for the shower. When she was dry again she wrapped a towel around her body and went back to her bedroom. Sitting in front of the mirror she stroked a hand across her cheeks. Ethan’s comment about her face being pretty came into her mind and it brought a smile to her lips. The thought of the bar owner brought back the flicker of excitement to her mind and she thought about the kiss they shared. It had felt nice and even though she barely knew the man it had felt right to do at the time. Picking up some blusher, Stacey got to work putting on her face. She kept it simple, not wanting to overdo the makeup and quickly finished. Walking to her wardrobe she considered what to wear. Her normal weekend attire was jeans and a t-shirt and with the meeting with Ethan being informal she decided to just stick with that. She grabbed a pair of boot-cut jeans and matched them with a powder blue t-shirt and a pair of black heels. Taking the clothes over to her bed she laid them out and then stepped across to a chest of drawers. Opening the bottom drawer, she searched through her underwear. She was suddenly conscious that she wanted to wear something nice and felt her face flush a little as she realized why. One brief kiss and you are getting ideas of more she chided herself, but she still picked out some pretty pink and white lingerie to wear.

Quickly getting dressed, Stacey then headed to her kitchen to have something to eat. By the time she finished she saw it was nearing midday and went to sit on her patio with a coffee to enjoy the early afternoon sunshine. When her coffee was finished she moved back indoors and decided to do a little work before she left. As she sat at the computer the thought of searching Ethan’s name came into mind and she was surprised at the number of hits that came back. It seemed that restaurant and bar ownership wasn’t his only business interest. Stacey let out a low whistle as a she found a recent rich list with his name on it and saw that it showed him with a net worth of more than a billion. Jeez, she thought, a billionaire bar owner and laughed. Out of curiosity she kept digging through the information about him and when she looked at her watch saw that it was approaching two o’clock. Time to go, she thought and closed down the computer.

The bus ride into town was crowded with Saturday afternoon shoppers and Stacey was glad when she finally got off. The short walk to the bar took no more than five minutes and it was still before three when she arrived. Making her way to the main door, she rang the bell and waited. A young woman answered the door.

“Hi, I have a meeting arranged with Mr. Walker,” Stacey started.

“Are you Miss. Hunter?” the woman asked. Stacey nodded and was let inside.

“Mr. Walker is in his office,” she said. “I’ll take you to him.” Stacey followed as the young woman led her through to Ethan’s office. He was on the phone when she stepped inside and he pointed to a seat. Stacey moved to it, sat down and waited for him to finish.

Ethan smiled when he put the phone down. “So are you ready to trash my lovely bar again?” he asked cheekily.

Stacey laughed and nodded. “But I’ll sugar coat as much as I can,” she teased. “Seeing a grown man cry is never something I can easily cope with.”

“Do your worst,” he shot back. “I’m sure I have the temperament to cope.” He moved across the room and Stacey stood. As they moved out of the office he put his hand on the small of her back to guide her in the right direction and Stacey immediately sensed the heat rise in her body. The touch felt nice and it only moved away when they finally reached the bar. There were a few people moving around and Stacey recognized a couple of them from her previous visit.

“So…?” said Ethan. “Where do we start?” Over the next hour or so Stacey led the bar owner around his establishment showing him the things that she thought needed changing and brought up to date. Ethan followed with a notebook and pen, keeping track of the comments and Stacey saw that he was showing a keen interest in the ideas she was putting forward.

“You know your stuff,” he said when they finally sat down at a table.

“I enjoy my work, that’s all,” she replied. “My parents both worked in the industry and I took an interest in interior design from, well…, from as far back as I can remember.”

“You must have had some dolls house as a kid,” Ethan teased. He shouted over to his barman for a couple of drinks and they were quickly served. “So what do I owe you for your consultation?” he asked.

“Oh, I’ll settle for a free meal and some free drinks,” Stacey laughed.

“That can be arranged,” the bar owner replied with a grin. “I really would like you to get involved in doing the work though,” he said. “Could you have a look at the restaurant and bathroom too?”

“I’ve seen the restaurant,” Stacey replied. “It’s fine as it is. The bathroom I can have a look at before I go. As for me getting involved in the work, that will cost you more than a free meal and drinks, but I’m sure you can afford my rates.”

“Oh…,” the bar owner laughed. “Been checking up on me have you.”

Stacey flushed a little. “I did happen to see some details of you on the computer. You’ve got a pretty impressive business background.”

Ethan shrugged. “I’m the same as you,” he replied. “I enjoy my work and throw myself into my projects to make sure they are the best they can be. It seems to work. Well…, apart from this bar,” he laughed.
