His Desire (3 page)

Carlos quickly untied her to be
free to move. They were going to make love. “Oh, baby,” she cooed
softly.

Carlos then
pulled her close to him, kissing her neck and
sucking on her soft skin as she made low moans of satisfaction. She
could feel the hardness of his erection against her thighs. He
continued to caress her leaving her panting. His kiss left her
breathless as her pussy jumped as if crying out for his manhood to
be inside her. Carlos moved his hips and before long he pushed his
hard cock inside her throbbing wet vagina causing her to explode.
He thrust back and forth, fucking her hard. She enjoyed the sound
of skin slapping skin as he pounded his erection inside her while
she dug her fingers into the firm muscular flesh on his back,
enjoying every touch, every sensation.

He continued until she came with
a shuddering explosion and let out a cry of pleasure. Soon after
Carlos came hard and groaned over and over. She delighted in his
sounds of sexual gratification.

Both she and Carlos lay on the
bed breathing and panting like animals in the wild. He laid his
weight on top of her. She licked and kissed his moistened firm
flesh. “Oh, baby. I love you so much.”

Carlos took off her
blindfold. The look of satisfaction on his face made her heart
smile.

I love you, Elsie.
God, you’re amazing!” he moaned in a low voice
as he lowered his head to press his lips to hers. They French
kissed passionately and hungrily for a while before holding each
other and cuddling. She could not believe how good he felt inside
her. It was incredible. What had she done to deserve having this
passionate love in her life? She’d only had one sexual experience
that was really nothing to talk about and had been celibate for so
long. But she could say it was so worth it, waiting for
Carlos.

He had a distinct glow on his
face. It was as if the world stopped for them. No cares at all.
Love did conquer all, didn’t it?

Sex was a powerful emotion.

An hour later as Carlos slept
beside her, Elsie propped herself up and scribbled on the notepad
at the bedside from the hotel stationary. It was notes for her
class and for a book idea she had. She then dropped the pen on the
table and got back under the sheets to snuggle up to Carlos.

“Do you often write in the
middle of lovemaking?”

“What? Carlos, I thought you
were sleeping.”

His sexy eyes were still closed
and his long beautiful eyelashes were a captivating sight for her.
A charming grin touched the corner of his lips. “You should know by
now, I don’t sleep sound.”

“Well that may just change
after…”

“After what?”

She was about to say after they
were married but that would bring them into a discussion about
their business arrangement. She really hoped that it could be a
permanent situation now that he admitted he loved her but she
didn’t want to kill the mood. Not just yet.

Nothing,” she said as she
leaned over to kiss him on his soft lips. A tingle erupted through
her again. Damn! Why did she have this sensation whenever his skin
touched hers. It was highly erotic but they definitely had a strong
chemical reaction and she treasured that. “Let’s get some
rest.”

Good idea.
N
ow shut up!” he teased her.

She stuck her tongue out at him
while his eyes were still closed.

You know that’s going to
cause you a serious spanking.” A salacious grin curved his
lips.

Elsie’s jaw dropped. She
was in shock. How could he have seen that? She smiled to herself
and laid her head on his firm chest where she could hear his strong
and powerful heart pounding in a rhythmic beat. It lulled her to
sleep.

The following week,
Carlos
leaned back in the leather chair
behind his desk. He was in his office at Kincade’s headquarters,
his eyes fixed on the Manhattan skyline outside the window. It was
a breathtaking view from the forty-third floor.

He would turn
thirty-years-
old next week. He had
already made his decision on what he would do next.

A
lot happened during the past week after he and Elsie
returned from Niagara Falls. The press had gotten wind of the
unusual will conditions of his grandfather which stated that by his
thirtieth birthday if he was not married and settled down he would
lose his shares in the corporation. And that wasn’t all, his sworn
enemy, Red, had apparently tried to sell an exclusive story to one
of the tabloids for a million dollars that Carlos was paying an
employee to marry him to keep his position and his shares in the
Kincade corporation. Imagine the disgrace and scandal that would
befall him. Anger seethed through his body. A muscle twitched in
his jaw at the sickening thought. Lucky for Carlos, he had allies
in the media world. The owner of the publication had contacted him
beforehand and he was able to stop the story from going
public.

Carlos was not going to
appear desperate under any circumstances. That was why
he
’d spent the week in much thought about
what really mattered to him.

Power. Dignity. Respect.
Control.

Happiness. Something that could
not be bought for any amount of money.

As if that
tabloid situation wasn’t enough, his
half-brother John had been arrested for fraud. It appeared that the
paternity test that was taken in the 1980s was a fake. But it
didn’t matter now. None of that mattered now. He had called an
emergency meeting with his staff and Elsie was going to be present.
He would soon set the record straight.

Elsie
had changed him.

Never in his life had a
woman dominated his every thought around the clock and stirred his
soul to soaring heights.

It was crazy. He seriously
was in love
with her. The only cure was
to marry Elsie and never let her out of his sight.

A surge of heat rushed
through him just thinking about her. He was captivated by Elsie and
decided he couldn’t…wouldn’t live without her. He had to have her
completely in every way and the incident in Niagara Falls was not
going to repeat itself ever again. She was everything to
him.

What sort of magic spell
had she cast over him? No woman had ever had that effect on him.
Ever. He was mesmerized by her.

His mouth watered at the
thought of tasting her sweet juices
again. The thought made his cock hard. Her voluptuous sway
drove him crazy out of his senses. She had a fine waistline and
shapely thighs. The way a woman should be. A grin of amusement
touched his lips as he thought of her adorable habits and her
unpredictable ways, especially what she’d done in the women’s
change room and the look of morbidity on her face when he
confronted her about masturbating while calling out his name to the
chagrin of the workmen within earshot who were doing maintenance
work.

Elsie. Elsie.
Elsie.
He shook his head and
grinned.

A knock on the door disturbed
his thoughts.

“Yes.”

It was his assistant,
Marsha. “Sorry to disturb you, Mr. Kincade, but they are waiting
for you in the boardroom.”

He dropped his pen on the table
and sighed heavily. “Thank you. I’ll be there shortly.”

Elsie sat in the boardroom
with members of the board, Marsha, Carlos’s assistant, Portia from
Human Resources and other employees she did not recognize. What was
going on? Carlos had barely spoken to her during the past
week
even though she’d shared his
enormous luxury penthouse suite in Manhattan. She wondered if he
was having second thoughts. Was he avoiding her? She had tried to
bury herself in her studies and worked on her major report for
psych class but it was no use. She just could not concentrate.
She’d only thought of him, every waking moment and when she was
asleep, he’d dominated her dreams. She felt as if she were going to
go crazy.

And now…

He’d called an emergency
meeting. Her outward appearance was deceptively calm because inside
she was a bundle of nerves.

“Thank you for coming,” Carlos
deep, silky voice sliced through her thoughts when he walked
through the double glass doors. He looked delicious in his
expensive navy suit and grey tie. He had the most sexiest groomed
stubble she’d ever seen. His seductive grey eyes appeared more dark
and dangerous. His luscious soft lips that had caressed her to
ecstasy last week were pressed into a thin line. His expression was
very chilling. What was more disturbing was that he wasn’t looking
at her. Had she done something wrong?

I’m sure you’re all
wondering why I called this meeting,” he continued as he stood in
the room speaking to everyone seated who
were forced to look up to his tall frame. His hands were
shoved in his pockets.

I’m going to be brief.
I’ve thought through carefully about the direction of the Kincade
corporation and the projects forthcoming. As you know the Home
Pleasures department opening will be next week and has already
garnered tons of
positive reviews from
critics.”

Everyone in the room seemed to
breathe a collective sigh of relief and murmured in agreement with
him.

He inhaled sharply as his
gaze
met Elsie’s. Suddenly a jolt of
electricity shot through her veins. His eyes softened somewhat and
for a moment it was as if they were the only two in the room. She
flushed when their eyes locked. For a moment her breath
stopped.

“I will go forth and do the
honors at the grand opening next week and I’ve spoken to Portia who
will work together with me to find the most suitable candidate to
take over operations of the new department and as CEO of Kincade
corporation.”

Elsie’s jaw dropped but
she wasn’t the only one in the room who had
the look of shock on their face. Time suddenly stood still.
The tension was so thick in the room, a sharp knife could not slice
through it.

What?” cried one of the
members of the Board.

You heard correctly. I
will be stepping down as CEO during the coming year and working on
other ventures that I have created outside of the corporation.
Additionally, I will be getting married sometime next year…actually
on my thirty-first birthday.” Elsie thought she saw a grin touch
the corner of his lips.

Had he lost his
mind?
He was supposed to get married by
his thirtieth birthday…or he would lose everything!

Elsie was dumbstruck. What
was he doing? Kincade corporation meant the world to him.
Elsie felt as if she would pass out any moment
now.

Everyone in the boardroom
erupted into expressions of shock and seemed to be talking at the
same time asking questions of why and how.

Well Carlos certainly was
unpredictable and knew how to throw a curve ball. No one could have
prepared for what he had announced. Except Portia. A ting of
jealousy touched her. Why hadn’t Carlos spoken to her about it
first?

“Carlos, I…I don’t know what to
say. How…” After the meeting once the boardroom had cleared, Elsie
stayed back to be alone with Carlos.

He pulled her closer to
him as they both stood by the enormous floor to ceiling window in
the room. “I’ve had a chance to think about things,
Els
ie. You opened my eyes to what really
matters—believe it or not.”

But…your
shares…”

“So what? I can walk away from
anything. You said it yourself last week based on the research you
were conducting on my life…I made my first billion without the help
of the Kincade empire. I’ve made my mark in the corporation and set
the pace for the future. Isn’t that enough?”

“Well, yes, but…”

“But nothing,” he said in a low
voice as he held her from behind, his strong arms around her waist.
She could feel his energy and his power. It was comforting to
her.

“So you deliberately set the
date of our wedding so that…”

“No one is going to have
anything over me or you ever again. And yes, our marriage will be
for real. I’ve already contacted an old friend of mine who is a
wedding planner who will be working with you over the coming year.
You will have the grand wedding you deserve.”

“Carlos, I don’t know what to
say…” The emotion caught in her throat. She could feel the moisture
pooling in her eyes.

“I want you to finish your
graduate education and that paper you are working on.”

She turned around to look into
his eyes. “What?”

“It’s pretty good, I read it. In
fact, I agree with the notes you left to yourself. You could turn
it into a book. Thirty-one ways to have a passionate relationship
and use all the techniques I’ve performed with you.”

“Oh, God! How
embarrassing….You…you read my private notes.” Holy shit! He knew
that she had taken notes about their sexual activities. How
freaking humiliating.

“Private notes? You were going
to submit most of it to the professor,” he was smirking. God, he
was enjoying this. Why must he always catch her in an embarrassing
situation?

“Not all of it. Besides, I was
only kidding about the book idea. It’s stupid.”

He lifted her chin with his
finger. “No, it isn’t. It’s perfect.”

“It is?”

“Yes and so are you.”
