Hidden Fire (27 page)

Morgan slung an arm over her shoulders and pointed to the hollow where they'd placed the
Dreamtime Fire
. “Look.”

“Holy shit,” she whispered as the rock-face rippled and twisted until the surface showed no sign of the hiding place of the fire opal. The only thing that remained was the painting of the pelican.

She squealed as the tattoo on her shoulder went crazy. First she felt the bird's wings fluttering. Then the creeping feeling across her skin as it moved. Finally a wrenching sensation as if someone had stretched the flesh on her shoulder.

“Holy shit,” she whispered again as the pelican came to life. It lifted from her shoulder and with a blur of color, settled on the wall beside the rock painting. Now there were two pelicans depicted; the larger one with its wings wrapped about the smaller one as if in protection.

Morgan ran his hand over her shoulder where the tattoo had lived. “Perfectly smooth, as if it was never there.”

Charlie patted her on the head. “It's as it should be. Two halves of the whole. But I have to say, Missy, you been spending too much time with Morgan here. A bad influence, he is. Been telling him about that mouth of his for ages.”

He chuckled, waving a hand in the direction of the tunnel. “I'm outta here. Must be tucker time. This old man's gettin' hungry.”

Morgan stood and pulled Gili to her feet. “We should go, too.”

“Not yet.” Gili moved over to the fire pit. “Reckon the spirits would mind if we lit the fire again and stayed here for a while? There's just something magical about this place. Well, now Whitey and Jeremy have gone, of course.”

Before Morgan could say a word, there was a puff of air and a burst of light in the center of the abandoned fire pit. The coals glowed red again, tiny flames licking at the edges.

“Wow,” Gili whispered. “Guess I have my answer.”

Flashes of blue and green, and the inevitable fiery-red, still lit up the cavern, reflecting off the minute fragments of opal that glistened in the roof. Like stars littering an ochre-colored sky.

Morgan moved up behind her. He aligned his body with hers and wrapped his arms around her waist. Gili wiggled her hips, rubbing against the hard erection she felt pressing against her backside.

The fire in the pit rose higher, filling the cavern with heat that seeped into Gili's blood. White smoke drifted up to the roof of the mine. She tilted her head back and stared, a smile on her face.

Floating in a circle above her were the spirits of those who lived in the Dreamtime. Accompanied by the didgeridoo, their melodious voices rose in an exotic chant and they twirled in a dance as erotic as any Gili had ever seen.

She wanted to be a part of that; needed to experience the magic of the moment, the breathtaking beauty of the dance.

Stepping away from Morgan, she pulled her top over her head. Then she whipped off her boots and unzipped her shorts, drawing them down her legs and kicking them away. All that remained was a flimsy pair of bikini panties.

Gili rolled her shoulders and turned to face Morgan. She took a deep breath and ran her hands up her body until she cupped her bare breasts. She swayed to the music, biting her lip when her nipples pebbled into hard points.

She spun and twisted, shuffled her feet. The throb of the didgeridoo sank into her blood. It pulsed throughout her, driving the tension higher. Hunger ate at her. A thirst for sexual satiation drove her to rotate her hips and slide one hand down her body to the apex of her thighs.

And all the while she kept her gaze fixed on Morgan. Sweat covered his forehead. A flush of red rode high on his cheekbones. A sexy smile curved his lips and gave him a ravenous look. Hopefully, that hunger she read on his face was for her.

Hands on her waist, she sashayed closer, swinging her hips to the rhythm that pounded through her veins. He held out his hands to her, but she avoided them. Instead, she spun around behind him, grabbed the bottom of his t-shirt and pushed it up his back. He took her silent command in the manner she meant and skimmed the t-shirt over his head.

Gili ran her hands up his back, across his shoulders and down to his hands, spreading his arms out to the side. He was so attuned to her that he remained just the way she'd placed him.

She stepped in closer and shimmied against him, rubbing her breasts on his warm skin. Her nipples throbbed, tightening even more into rock-hard points. Every brush shot sensation down to her core. Every movement made her ache with need.

A soft moan escaped her and she struggled to find her voice. “Do you have any idea how much I want you?”

She didn't give him time to answer. She pressed her mouth to his back and licked his bronzed flesh. The tastes exploded in her mouth. Sweat and hot male. A heady aphrodisiac. She wanted more. So much more.

Starting at his upper back, she licked and nibbled her way down to the waistband of his jeans, indulging her senses. His guttural groan just spurred her on. Sliding her hands around to his front, she undid his belt and dragged it off. She unsnapped his jeans and lowered the zip. Then she dipped her hands inside both jeans and briefs and slowly started to ease them down.

Gili rewarded each inch of exposed flesh with a sweep of her tongue. She slipped his clothes down to his ankles and urged him to lift each foot so she could pull his boots off at the same time as she dealt with his jeans and underwear. When he was totally naked, she kissed her way up the back of his thighs until she came to the curve of his butt.

One sharp nip and Morgan shuddered. She laved the bite with the tip of her tongue before turning her attention to his other buttock. She felt the tremors racing through him. She gloried in his erratic breathing. And all the time sensation spiked through her. His excitement was her excitement. It made the moisture pool in her core, causing her hands to shake when she caressed Morgan's flanks.

“Christ, Gili, you're driving me crazy here.” He reached around behind him and clamped a hand on her shoulder.

“Honey, this is just the beginning. Hang onto your britches because I haven't finished yet.”

He groaned. “I like your enthusiasm, but I haven't got any britches on.”

“Oh!” Gili chuckled. “Of course. Silly me.”

She scooted around until she was able to squat in front of him. “Now for the next step. I've been learning a lot watching these spirit ancestors of yours. This is just the entrée to the main banquet.”

A breathy giggle suddenly erupted inside Gili's mind. A fluttering and a sense of fullness as if her skin was too tight for her body. She burst out laughing. She'd forgotten about her silent passenger.

Standing, she held her arms wide and angled her head back to stare at the wispy ghosts dancing in the light of the opals. One of the males floated down to where Gili and Morgan were and just hovered there.

“Thought you said this was my time,” she said to the Aboriginal woman inside her.

Another giggle followed her words.

“Go find your own lover. This one's mine.”

When the male figure beckoned, Gili felt a lightness inside her. A white shape separated itself from her body and brushed against Morgan before floating into the air. Within seconds, the female shape was fully established, and the male's arm about her shoulders, she darted back up to the roof of the cave with a final sexy giggle.

“Okay, that was interesting,” Morgan said with a shake of his head.

“If she hadn't giggled, I wouldn't have remembered she was there.” She grinned. “I got the feeling she wanted to do you.”

Morgan snorted. “There's only one woman I want
doing
me from now on.”

“Just hang on to that thought, okay? Now, where was I?”

Using his thighs to anchor herself, she kneeled so her face was in line with his lower body. She leaned forwards and dragged the tip of her tongue along his hard length.

Hot.

Enticing.

A feast worthy of savoring.

She slicked her tongue around the top before probing at the roped veins that ran down the length of him. A swipe of her tongue across the tip of his penis garnered a new taste sensation—the salty flavor of the fluids that glistened at the opening.

“Hmmm, ambrosia,” she whispered.

Morgan's only response was a raspy groan.

Impatient now to taste all of him, she fitted her lips over him and took him deep. She worked her mouth up and down his length, swirled her tongue around his width. Settling in for the long haul, she curled her hand around the base and drew him as deep as she could. Then she sucked. Hard. Drawing out every fragment of feeling she could.

Tremors racked his body. His hands tunnelled through her hair and gripped hard. “Gili, enough. I can't hold on much longer.”

She released him with a soft plop and raised her head to grin at him. “Why, Morgan, I didn't think you'd give up so easily.”

With a growl, Morgan leaned down, grasped Gili under the arms and pulled her up so he could stare into her eyes. “You think I can't make the grade, woman?”

He slammed his mouth over hers and sent his tongue thrusting, imitating the movements his body wanted to initiate. He lapped. He nipped, thrusting his tongue deep, swirling around her mouth to savor every last drop of her.

When she emitted a soft moan, he suddenly remembered Whitey's attack. Breaking off the kiss, he leaned his forehead against hers. “Sorry, forgot about your lips again. If that bastard was here right now, I'd knock his block off for hurting you.”

“It doesn't hurt so much now you've kissed it better.” She twined her arms about his neck and wrapped her legs about his hips, pulling herself up his body.

He widened his stance, taking her full weight. “Reckon if I hold you, you can reach down and grab my jeans?”

“Huh, what for?”

He grinned. “In the back pocket of my jeans. My wallet. Protection. For now anyway. Later we can discuss it.”

She leaned back in his arms. “You meant what you said when we put the
Dreamtime Fire
back where it belonged?”

“What do you think? You're my flame woman. Where would I be without you?”

“Just as long as you remember that the next time you get pissed off with me, okay?” She uncurled her legs from around his waist and lowered her feet to the ground. “You can let me go now.”

“Not certain I want to do that. Ever.”

She gurgled with laughter. “I love the sentiment, but if you want me to get that condom, you might have to think again.”

He laughed and released her, watching as she bent down, grabbed the wallet and fished out the foil packet. Then she stowed the wallet back in his jeans. Whirling away from him, she gathered up their clothes and laid them out beside the fire pit.

“Um, what
are
you doing?”

His mouth dried as he watched her lace-clad backside when she leaned over to smooth out his t-shirt. Her breasts bobbed with her movements and he wanted nothing more than to reach down and cup the weight of them in his palms. Mould them. Caress them. Take each nipple into his mouth and suckle until Gili cried out with need.

“I'm making a bed for us.” She shrugged. “It's not much, but it should be a little softer than bare rock.”

As a variety of erotic scenarios filled his head, excitement gathered in Morgan's gut. He glanced up at the gyrating phantoms floating above his head, each couple lost in sexual abandon. He felt as if they were egging him on. As if they wanted to watch, needed to see he and Gili come together. It should have been off-putting, but if anything, it increased the level of tension riding his veins.

He looked at Gili and held out his hand. “Come here, woman.”

Her mouth quirked into a smile as she jumped to her feet and pranced back to him. When she was close enough, he grabbed her hand and spun her around so her back was to his chest.

“Who said I want to take you in a bed?” He bit softly on the lobe of her ear, grinning when she moaned in response. “I could have you up against the wall of the cave, although that might be too hard on your bare back.”

He slid his hands down her stomach and slipped them under the elastic band of her panties. With a tug, he manoeuvred them down her legs. She was quick to kick them away.

Morgan slowly trailed the tip of his fingers up her inner thighs. “Open your legs for me, fire lady.”

The moment she did, he slid one hand between her thighs and dragged the tip of his finger along the heated folds of her sex. She mewled like a little kitten as he continued to stroke her.

“Of course, there are other options.” He struggled to find his voice, swallowing hard as the musky scent of her arousal teased his senses. “I could bend you over that boulder over there and take you from behind. Would you like that, sweet Gili?”

“Promises, promises,” she quipped in a breathy voice. “But I do like it when you talk dirty.”

“Tell me how it makes you feel,” he demanded as he parted her slick flesh and traced his fingers along the length of her. “God, you're so wet. So hot. Do you like this, too?”

He dipped one finger inside her, plunging in and then withdrawing. She rocked her hips back, pushing his finger deep again. He inserted a second finger, stretching her sheath to accommodate him.

Gili started to pant. Her hips pumped forwards and backwards, following the thrust of his fingers. Her legs wobbled and he wrapped his free arm about her waist to support her weight. She clasped one hand over his as if worried he'd stop. He chuckled.
As if
.

Sweat slicked her body. Her head dropped back onto his shoulder. Her breath came out in tortured sobs. Then he felt her inner muscles tighten around his fingers and she exploded, crying out her orgasm to the spirits of the cavern.

It was all he could do to hang on to his own control. The blood pounded through his veins. His erection was rock-hard. Savage need gnawed at him. If he didn't bury himself deep inside her damp heat soon he'd be the one exploding…with frustration.
