“Move.” Proctor said pushing Gracie in front of him and holding a laser pistol to her back.

Kordon bit back a curse as he watched them begin to move out of range. He moved to follow but a sharp sound made him freeze. He glanced over to see Krac shaking his head and pointing to the bodies of the dead men. He counted down from ten slowly and covered his head.

Kordon barely had time to duck before each of the bodies exploded thr
owing
bloody gore everywhere. Kordon came out from behind the rocks with a grim expression. He watched as Krac did the same.

“Bloody bastard. He likes to take a few extra with him. He kills but his shots are filled with a time-delayed explosive so whoever comes to look
at
or get the body dies too.” Krac said looking with disgust around him.

“He’ll have hidden his ship close by. He never travels with others.” Krac said.

“What will he do?” Kordon asked following Krac as he moved through the dense forest.

“He’ll more than likely kill Proctor. He knows the bastard doesn’t have any more credits. He’ll keep Gracie alive.” Krac said moving rapidly.

Kordon moved next to him. “What aren’t you telling me?” He gritted out as he pushed through the brush.

Krac didn’t look at Kordon. “He’ll use her. She’ll lose the baby. Their sperm will attack it. Once he finishes with her, if she is still alive, he’ll sale her to one of the illegal pleasure houses.”

Krac did glance at Kordon then. “I’ll kill the bastard first.” He said just loud enough for Kordon to hear. “You get Gracie out of the area as fast as you can.”

Kordon nodded. He knew he could kill the assassin but not without probably being killed himself. Krac might not realize Kordon recognized the assassin as well. The species was one the Zion fought centuries ago. Kordon used his comlink to let his fat

had destroyed the other ships. Their fighters were intercepting the few fighters attempting to escape. Kordon started to jerk around when another figure appeared out of the dense forest next to them.

Rorrak grinned as he jogged next to them. “Hey, Krac.”

Krac lowered his weapon with a sha
ke of his head. “You sorry ass
bastard. You are determined to get yourself killed.”

Rorrak barked out a sharp laugh. “I’m not the one kidnapping my brother’s mate.” Rorrak responded sarcastically.

“True.” Krac said before pulling up short and raising his hand. “We’re close.” He whispered.

Rorrak nodded and melted into the dense shadows of the trees. Kordon did the same moving in the opposite direction. His brother had a lot to answer for, Kordon thought grimly. But first, he needed to get his mate back.

Gracie bit back a cry of pain as Proctor’s fingers dug into her arm. She would never give the bastard the satisfaction of knowing he was hurting her. Gracie knew Kordon was close. She could practically feel his eyes on her. She also knew Proctor was even more dangerous now that he was desperate. Her eyes kept flickering to the green skinned creature walking in front of them. Whatever he was, he scared her. Gracie pulled back sharply when she saw the creature’s spaceshi
p next to a lake. She knew if she set foot
in
that spaceship, she was as good as dead.

Gracie kicked out at Proctor trying to pull away as he dragged her closer. She let out a small scream when he let go
of
her arm and grabbed her by her hair. Gracie stumbled and fell to her knees. The sharp rocks cut through the thin material of her pants. Proctor hissed out another warning to her.

The green skin creature turned suddenly moving so fast Gracie never saw it move. She vaguely heard Proctor’s surprised cry before she felt herself falling backwards onto the ground. Reaching up she could feel Proctor’s fingers still tangled in her hair but Proctor was standing several feet away from her swaying. It took her a minute to realize his arm was missing and blood was gushing down his side.

Gracie began screaming as she fought to get the severed arm away from her. She scrambled backwards away from it in horror.
The creature hissed at Proctor again before moving again. Gracie closed her eyes as Proctor’s headless body
collapsed. Gracie cried out as a set of arms wrapped around her.

“Shush, my little warrior. I have you.” Kordon said softly.

Gracie’s eyes flew open and she cried out again as Kordon’s face came into view. “Help me.” Gracie whimpered as his face blurred. “Help me.” Gracie whispered as everything turned dark.

Chapter 25

Gracie floated in and out of conscious
ness
. She felt herself being carried and voices fading in and out but that was about it. Then, there was blissful darkness. She felt a slight rumble and more voices a short time later before the darkness came again. Gracie burrowed into the warmth around her as it came.

“Why won’t she wake up?” A deep voice asked in frustration.

“S
he will. She has been through a very traumatic event. I am amazed she has not shut down sooner.” A soft feminine voice replied.

“The baby…?” The deep voice asked hoarsely.

“The baby is fine. From the scans, it looks like the baby is a female.” The soft voice said patiently.

Gracie sighed as she let the voices wash over her. She was safe. She would wake up in a few minutes but not yet. She was just too tired. She let a small smile curve her lips.
We are having a little girl
. Gracie thought as she let a more peaceful sleep take over her.

Gracie turned towards the warm moisture
tugging at her. She
arch
ed closer to it
as a wave of heat washed through her. It felt so good. Gracie felt a small moan escape her throa
t as the delicious warmth stopped. Her hands came out searching to pull it back.

“Open your eyes and I will continue.” Kordon’s hot breath brushed seductively across her swollen nipple.

“If I open my eyes you better be prepared to do more than that.” Gracie whispered softly.

Kordon looked up watching as Gracie’s delicate eyelashes fluttered for a moment before finally opening. “Hi.” Gracie whispered with a small smile.

“Hello, little warrior.” Kordon whispered back tenderly. “You caused those feelings again. The ones I don’t like.”

Gracie giggled then held her stomach. “I’ve got to go potty.” She whispered again with a grimace.

Kordon chuckled and rolled over before sitting up. “Go, but expect company in a few minutes.”

Gracie nodded as she sat up and slid off the bed. She immediately recognized they were on the
Conqueror
from the décor. She moved to the bathroom and quickly used it. Gracie brushed her teeth then scrunched up her nose as she noticed the fading bruise on her cheek and her tangled hair.
She looked like a wild woman,
she thought in distaste.

“I happen to think you look beautiful as a wild woman.” Kordon said coming up behind her and wrapping his arms tightly around her.

“How long have I been out?” Gracie asked looking at the shadows under Kordon’s eyes.

“Almost forty-eight hours.” Kordon replied as he unhooked and pulled the gown covering Gracie off her shoulders.

“I was tired.” Gracie said not wanting to remember what lead to her passing out. Blood, guts, and pregnancy did not mix.

“That is what Toolas kept telling me. We are having a little girl.” Kordon said as he let his hand rest on the swell of Gracie’s belly.

“I know. I heard, sort of.” Gracie responded softly covering Kordon’s hands with her own. Gracie turned in Kordon’s arms and pressed
her lips to his.
“I was scared.” Gracie said in a small voice.

“I was too.” Kordon admitted reluctantly. “Things will be different once we are home. I have tightened security. I will never take the chance of you being taken again.”

Gracie nodded. She didn’t want to argue right now. She wanted to know she was alive and safe. She pulled out of Kordon’s arms and turned on the bathing stall. Gracie gave Kordon an inviting smile as she slowly began removing his clothes. She let her lips follow the patterns on his skin as she pulled the material away from him.

“I missed you.” She whispered against his skin.

Kordon groaned as he felt his cock beginning to swell. “I’m going to love you, Gracie. Long, hard, and fiercely.” As he began rocking against her hand as she undid the front of his pants.

“I love it when you talk dirty.” Gracie hummed against his skin.

Kordon pulled away from Gracie long enough to pull his pants off the rest of the way. Pulling her into his arms, he stepped under the spraying mist. He turned her to face the back of the stall. Pulling her arms up, he held them there for a moment while he rubbed his swollen cock along the crack of her ass. Both of them groaned loudly when she pushed back against him.

“Stay like that.” Kordon said hoarsely.

Gracie let her head fall forward as she felt Kordon’s rough hands moving over her body. She could feel the slick glide of the cleansing foam as he touched every inch of her. It took everything in her to keep from begging him to stop and just fuck her. She could sense he needed to touch her and make sure every inch of her was okay.

Kordon’s hands trembled slightly as he touched Gracie. He let his hands and eyes touch every part of her. He washed her hair that was now hanging below her shoulder blades, rinsing it carefully before letting it fall over her left shoulder. His fingers hesitated at the slight puckering scar from her wound aboard the Alluthan mother ship before he continued down her body. His hands paused again at the slight scar on her leg. He gently raised one foot and washed it before he did the same to the other. As he moved back up he let his fingers slid between the delicate line of her cheeks to touch the dark pucker of her anus. He heard Gracie’s soft gasp before she relaxed. She was letting him know she trusted him unconditionally.

He continued working his way back up before he turned her around gently and told her to continue to remain still. Gracie looked into his deep, dark blue eyes and nodded. Kordon paid the same intense attention to Gracie’s front as he did her back. He gently kissed the fading bruise on her cheek before moving further down. Gracie cried out when he flicked each of her nipples before drawing them into his mouth briefly. It was just long enough to make them peaked and become extremely sensitive. Gracie’s eyes grew heavy as she watched him kneel in front of her.

Our daughter.” Kordon breathed out quietly as he cupped the growing swell between his large palms. “I hope she is just like you.”

Gracie chuckled. “You may be regretting that wish.” She teased lightly.

Kordon shook his head and pressed a kiss to her stomach. Gracie felt the slight flutter of movement as if their daughter was responding to her daddy’s touch. Gracie’s breath caught in a shuddering gasp as Kordon ran his fingers across her slick folds. Now, they were definitely getting somewhere, Gracie thought panting.

“More.” Gracie moaned in a low hoarse voice. “Please!”

Kordon spread the folds of Gracie’s clit and buried his mouth in her sweet mound. Gracie threw her head back and grabbed his shoulders, spreading her legs further. Kordon groaned loudly when Gracie let one of her legs slide up and over his shoulder while she gripped his head tightly.
