Government Zero: No Borders, No Language, No Culture (32 page)

I chose to put defense of our liberties at the end of the list because it is the last thing I want you to remember. Let’s not forget that freedom is the most precious jewel in the crown of our culture. It is more important than prosperity or power. Without freedom, there can be no real virtue and no enjoyment of prosperity.

This list is only a beginning. It is a jumping-off point from which to launch a nationalist movement to restore the America that was the light of the world and build an even better one for the future.

The trouble with those who care is that caring in the face of times like these can drive them insane. I know our fight can seem hopeless at times, but it isn’t. I truly believe good will win in the end.

One of the best reasons for hope is the millions of college students out there who love their country despite all the forces trying to corrupt them. I ran a contest on my radio program earlier this year asking young people to write an essay called “What Does It Mean to Be an American?” Of the 1,700 essays submitted, the five best essayists will each receive a $20,000 scholarship to the college of their choice.
