Girl In Pieces (19 page)

“No,” I gasped, twisting enough to see just see his body. Sweat glistened across his chest from the exertion he’d put into his discipline. There was no force in the world that would let me safeword now. “Don’t stop. Don’t you dare stop.”

“Haven’t you learned,” Josh growled, flashing his canines as he bore down on me. “I give the orders.”

Then he was on me, his fingertips assaulting my clit with constant, staccato pressure. He played me into a wild animal, thrashing against my restraints until I was screaming. Everything between my legs throbbed, this torture almost as bad as the spanking had been. I twisted my wrists, pulled, pushed, fought for just a tiny bit of give and when he got tired of watching me fight, he tossed the belt aside, pushed his fingers into my hair, and held my head to the mattress.

“In this room,” he said, the calm in his voice belying the intense aggression of his hand between my legs. “I’m your Master. I give the orders. You’re mine, Katrina. I want you. I claim you. You belong to me and no one else. And when I want you to scream, you’ll scream. When I want more, I’ll take more. And when I want you to come, you’re damn well going to come screaming my name.”

Too many gorgeous sensations flooded my brain. Josh. Josh. Josh. Everything about him overwhelmed me. I couldn’t keep up. I couldn’t tell what was up and what was down or when I’d become this new, powerful creature.

He didn’t let go of my hair as he withdrew his fingers from my clit. He held me down and with his slickened hand, he slapped the inside of one thigh, the outside of the other, covering the barely remembered mark Oliver had left on me with his own.

And then he lashed my swollen, quivering pussy with the flat of his hand and I
exploded
.

Color and lights and stars. Millions of stars.

I was only faintly aware I was screaming,
Josh, oh God, please Master

My voice wasn’t my own. My body wasn’t my own. I became all at once unrecognizable as pulse after pulse of excruciating pleasure burned through my body. I bucked and pitched, half fighting Josh’s fingers as they brought me through my orgasm, and half searching for them. I ground into his hand, my pussy so wet he couldn’t hold onto my clit for more than a few precious strokes.

“Kat, stay with me baby. Stay with me my gorgeous girl.” Josh’s voice spun away and back, an echo somewhere far away, where he owned me so completely.

The delicious hurt crashed through me, bore me into the sky, and wrenched me apart, piece by glorious piece.

NINETEEN

As Kat slipped into twilight, somewhere between subspace and sleep, I held her. She’d protested weakly when I tried to remove her restraints, but eventually allowed me to detach them from the chain and each other. Whatever power they’d held over here before, she used as a safety blanket in their aftermath.

I held my sub in my arms, buried my face in her hair, and tucked my ankles around hers. I kissed her shoulders, her arms, her face. I told her I loved her. I told her I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life.

“My Kat,” I whispered against her skin. “My little sub.”

She sighed and nuzzled me and sank deeper, deeper
, deeper
. I didn’t dare bring her out until she was ready. She deserved this. She’d earned this high. I’d protect her all night. Every night.

The balcony door sucked open, letting in a fresh wind of cold November sky. At some point the breeze had doused the candles, dropping us into near darkness but for the moonlight. It made Kat’s skin glow, painting her from toe to mouth in a silver light.

Oliver swaggered in, all cocksure and half grinning, the bastard. I smirked at him, but didn’t get up.

“How’s she doing?”

Kat purred into my chest but didn’t rouse. Her bottom half was covered by a plush blanket, but her breasts pressed large and heavy against my body uncovered and flushed a dusky pink in the low light. I’d tried wrapping her completely, but she’d rejected having her shoulders covered. I wrapped her in my body instead and stroked her arm and she settled.

“Good.” I inhaled her scent and kissed her forehead. “Perfect. Still out of it. She went through a lot. I want to let her sleep.”

Oliver nodded and eased himself down on the edge of the bed. He set a hand on the hem of the blanket that covered her and flicked his eyes to meet mine.

“May I?”

I nodded.

He pulled the blanket away to expose her backside. A glassy look of pride told me all I needed to know – I’d marked her. Well, too, by the look of approval he gave her. I knew she would likely bruise when I struck her hardest. Her skin flushed with barely a tap, so when the blood had flooded her pale skin after each belting, I knew she’d bruise plenty.

“Beautiful,” he exhaled. “She’s fucking beautiful. Did she like it?”

“You didn’t watch?”

“No.” He glanced towards the balcony doors and shook his head. “I thought you should have this to yourself. Heard her though.” He flashed a predatory grin. “She screamed like a demon.”

“She came like a demon.” I groaned and squeezed her closer to me. Spanking her pussy, even lightly, had been impulsive. Many submissives I knew hated that particular part of impact play. But when she finally stopped fighting the pain and become ravenous for more, I’d let myself become consumed with a feral, merciless need to see how far she could go.

When she met each impact moaning like a cat in heat, I’d given her what she begged for.

I never thought, not in a million years, that spanking her
there
would send her so wildly over the edge. She’d screamed loud enough I was sure the people at the party could hear her through the soundproof walls. I was sure everyone in the city could hear her screaming my name, screaming until her throat was raw. Several tears squeezed from her tightly shut eyes as the demon fought its way out of her, giving her an orgasm that lasted long minutes, shaking and shuddering her apart. Somewhere in those minutes she’d slipped into subspace and stayed there to dream.

I wiped the tears away and kissed her face, mouth, eyelids. I told her she was beautiful and loved and wanted.

Oliver grinned. “Did
you
like it?”

“You’re kidding right?” I snorted and stroked my hand down the curve of her body. “I’m so fucking in love with her.”

“Good.” He opened a cabinet beside the bed and removed a box I recognized from previous play nights. Aftercare supplies. He chose a new tube of lotion and set the rest aside. “This will help her. Do you want to…?”

“Go ahead.” I cuddled her in my arms and she sighed happily. “I don’t want to let go yet.”

Oliver snorted and uncapped the tube. “One night and you’re the one on your knees. Not me.”

“No? What about, what was her name? Jane?”

He scowled, warmed a palm of lotion in his hand before beginning to spread it on her bruises. She stirred, flinching when he grazed her hurts.

“I’ll never settle.”

Kat blinked her eyes sweetly open, saw me for the first time, blissed out eyes focusing.

“Hey you,” I smiled and kissed her nose.

“Hey you,” she repeated. She went to stretch, but whined when Oliver touched her buttocks. She looked over her shoulder at him, their eyes met, and I worried she’d panic with his hands on her, even in such a non-sexual way.

Instead she smiled and nuzzled deeper into my arms. “Oliver.”

“Josh’s little sub.” He stroked her battle wounds tenderly until the lotion was spread over her thighs and up to the small of her back. “How you doing, hon?”

“I am perfect.”

“That you are.” He set the lotion down and retrieved a bar of chocolate from the box, slid the silver wrapper open, and broke it into halves. He handed me one and I reluctantly uncurled my arms enough to break the chocolate bar into smaller pieces.

“Eat,” I told her, and she opened her mouth to accept the first square. “How do you feel? Do you hurt?”

Kat considered this as she sucked on the chocolate. “A little. Yeah. Not as bad as I thought.”

Oliver and I laughed at that. “A little! You should see how colored your ass is, sweetheart. And it wasn’t that bad? I’m pretty sure that was a challenge, Josh. She questioned your ability to deliver proper discipline.”

I buried my head into her throat and growled, nipping and biting at her soft skin. She squealed and struggled playfully, not wanting to get away in the slightest.

“Did I do well?” she asked, settling back and letting me kiss and nip at her exposed breasts. I hadn’t gotten a chance to really explore her yet but hot damn, her breasts were fantastic.

“You did very well. I am so proud of you. God I loved spanking you.”

“Can we do it again?”

She beamed and I kissed her perfect, smiling mouth. “When you’re healed, we absolutely can do it again.”

Kat melted into my arms and opened her mouth against mine. I licked her tongue, and kissed her until she curled her toes into the mattress and, as if she didn’t just come like a wildcat, started moaning and grinding her hips into mine.

“And that’s my cue. I believe I’m throwing a party. I should probably, you know, make an appearance. I have confidence you can finish from here without my help.” Oliver tucked the blanket back up over us. With my free arm I pushed him off the bed but didn’t stop kissing my girl. He laughed and took his time leaving. Cocky bastard.

TWENTY

“How do you feel?” Josh asked as he threaded his belt back through the loops of his jeans. I couldn’t take my eyes off it. I had a feeling I’d look to his belt often from now on.

He paused buckling back up when he realized I was staring and hadn’t answered. He grinned and snapped his fingers. I jumped and blinked. “Sorry, what?”

“I said, how do you feel?”

“You keep asking me that.” I slipped my bra back on. “I’m ok.”

Josh swaggered over to me, the well-worn jeans loose and sitting cocked on his hips. He ducked his head, ran a hand back through his hair, and grinned when he caught me staring again, then knelt fluidly at my feet where I sat at the end of the bed. He put his hands on my knees and met my eyes.

“My job isn’t just to tie you up and play with you. It’s also my job to take care of you when we aren’t playing. You just took a very intense belting, maybe too much for your first time. It is very important to me that you are ok. You have to tell me if you start feeling any emotion you can’t explain. Confusion, guilt, loneliness. I need to know if you’re dropping.”

“Dropping?” I checked my heart, my belly, my thoughts. Everything seemed to be in working order. I was outstandingly happy and I loved his hands touching me. I loved that we’d finally kissed. Everything seemed to be exactly as I’d always wanted them. We hadn’t made love yet but I was pretty sure that would be on the menu and soon.

“Subdrop. Have you ever put together or been part of a big event, like a birthday party or wedding? You spend ages thinking and talking and working on something that only lasts a few hours. And it’s perfect and wonderful and afterwards or the next day, you feel kind of depressed and sad because it’s over and you no longer have anything to look forward to and you don’t know if you can get that feeling back? That’s kind of like subdrop. Only, in your case, with fresh bruises.”

I nodded. I remembered the party we’d thrown for Josh a few years ago, the superhero party. I’d spent months planning the thing, and it was perfect. There had been at least a hundred people there. The next morning I’d woken up alone at home, feeling like no one would understand or appreciate how much trouble I’d gone to, and not having that kind of energy to put into something again. I’d only felt better when I’d left my bedroom and discovered Josh in my kitchen, making me cat shaped pancakes.

“I don’t feel like that though. I feel really happy. Satisfied.”

He smiled and stroked my thighs affectionately. “Good, but you might feel different tomorrow, or the next day. I can take care of you, if you let me. But you have to tell me.”

“I will. Thank god you’re just across the street.”

Josh made a noise of disagreement. “As if I’m going to let you sleep anywhere but my bed from now on.”

I bit my bottom lip, stupid butterflies making my heart trip over itself.

“What?” he leaned up and touched a kiss to my lips. I closed my eyes, reveling in the taste of his mouth. “Did you think this was a one night only event? Oliver was right. I plan to do everything in my power to make sure I never give you a reason to leave again.”

Oh. I sucked in a breath and looked away. I’d almost forgotten what, or who, had gotten in between us once again.

“But, what about Michelle?”

Wrong thing to say. Josh’s face darkened as he leaned back. “Michelle. I could kill her. You need to know something right now. I didn’t sleep with Michelle that night. Or any night since. Until she showed up at my apartment the other night, I hadn’t seen her since Halloween. I was a coward that night. I’m sorry. But after you I was never with her.”

Josh searched my face as I looked down, trying not to let my doubt manifest. “But, her car…”

“That. She wasn’t there with me. She was there with Brian.”

I jerked my head back. “Like, my
brother
?”

“She did it to get at you, to keep you away. Unfortunately, she actually liked being with Brian, till he found out what she was into.”

“Oh, God.” I groaned, remembering the day he’d brought me the money. He’d looked good and he’d seemed happy. All because of a girl. Michelle. The least compatible person in the world for him. “He told me he was seeing someone, but…he’s vanilla, Josh. Like, painfully normal.”

“I know.” He sighed. “Let’s talk about this tomorrow. There’s more but I don’t want to deal with it right now. I want to go home and make love to you in my bed and go to sleep.”

“Wow,” I deadpanned. “When you put it that way.”

He flashed a predatory smile, kissed both my knees, then stood up and went to collect the rest of his clothes. As soon as his back was turned, I scrambled to put on my dress and grab my underwear.

“No.”

I jumped and spun towards him, the Dom voice hitting me right in my belly and stirring to life the heat between my legs. The look he gave me was severe and uncompromising.

“I told you you’ll never wear those again.”

Oh.

I shivered and left them where they lay. “I’m sorry. I forgot.”

“I didn’t.”

I flushed and waited by the door for him while he pulled on his shirt.

Despite his displeasure, he took my hand and pulled me to his side as we left the playroom.

The condo was quiet and empty when we emerged. I had no concept of how much time had passed in the room, less since Oliver had left us alone. The luxurious white home with his huge glass walls and steel supports looked oddly fake with the lights on. The place was a mess, bottles and cups and leftover food scattered across furniture so obviously out of place from where it belonged.

We found Oliver in the kitchen, drinking with one hand and throwing empty bottles away with the other.

“Is there such a thing as partydrop?” He wrinkled his nose at the mess. “Because I think I’ve got it.”

He still looked gorgeous in his dress shirt, more so now that it was a little wrinkled. His hair was messier too, but still nicer than both me and Josh by then. They met halfway across the living room and did some kind of complicated hand shake that I think meant,
Hello
and
We’re awesome, right?

“Thank you, man,” Josh told his shoulder, low enough that I doubted I was supposed to hear it. Oliver nodded stoically

“I’ve always got your back.”

The two men, beautiful, powerful Doms, obviously cared a great deal for each other. It made my heart hurt because this was something he’d once had with Brian but had lost a little bit at a time over the last year. Here he had friends who were just as important to him, maybe more, that I’d never met, had no idea existed. And they didn’t know me or that I existed. He’d been mine first, but this felt more important. How could Josh keep this second life from us all this time and we had no idea?

It made me fiercely jealous.

“Speaking of, I need to talk to you before you go. Alone.” He glanced my way and I pretended to be very interested in some piece of art that looked more like a child was set loose with a handful of Pixie sticks and a paintball gun. It probably cost more than I’d make in a lifetime.

Josh nodded and the two men disappeared out onto the living room balcony. I wondered if they were talking about me, but watching the way they stood, arms crossed, it felt more business than pleasure.

Needing something to do with my hands, I started cleaning up. Watching Josh through the windows, close but too far to touch, I felt that jealousy again, a slow burn that told me maybe I wasn’t as ok as I’d hoped.

Because watching them together, I realized they weren’t just friends. Their ease at sharing me in Oliver’s playroom became painfully clear.

I wasn’t the first sub they’d shared.

Would I ever know Josh? Or would these people, these beautiful strangers, would they always know a part of him better than I ever could?
