“I see.” She and Jerry were the only ones in the house.
“And I see you’re busy writing. Mind if I watch the master at work?”
“No, but I’m afraid you won’t learn much, except how frustrating being a writer can be.”
“That’s right, you’re writing that ménage book. Not going well, huh?”
“No.”
“Hmm.” Jerry walked around the room, tapping his chin. “What kind of research have you done?”
“I’ve read both fiction and non fiction books. But I plan on going to an adult bookstore tonight. I’m going to pick up a few DVDs.”
“They have DVDs on how to write a ménage à trois?” Jerry pulled up a chair next to her.
“No, silly. I need to get the emotions of the people experiencing it, and I need a visual. Too many arms and legs all over the place.” She flung her hands around for emphasis.
“I can tell you right now then, that you won’t get real emotion from a porno, and that’s what you’ll be getting, a porno film. All you’ll see is a bunch of body parts covered in cum, and lots of cursing, moaning and groaning.”
The brief description made Lacy leak into her panties. Immediately, she had a vivid picture in her mind of what she’d be seeing. It wasn’t too hard to imagine her, Marty, and Jerry, either. “I see.’ She squirmed in her seat. “Well, I’m going to check it out anyway. I need all the help I can get.” She turned back to her computer, and smacked herself on her forehead. “Oh, dear.”
“What is it?”
“I just realized something. All this time I’ve been banging my head against the screen trying to write one sentence. Suppose I can’t feel this story enough to put it on paper. I don’t want it to look forced.”
“Hey, don’t think that way. You’ll get it down, and trust me, it will seem genuine and true to life. Come here.” Jerry put his hand behind her head and slowly brought her chair closer to him. He kissed her gently on the lips. It wasn’t a friendship kiss. The kiss was soft and subtle, but promised more.
“Jerry.” She breathed out. Her body hummed, burned, about to explode, just from that simple gesture.
“Shh.” He kissed her again, this time a little deeper, a little slower. “When was the last time I kissed you this way?”
“I…about fourteen years ago, when you told me that we should remain friends.”
“You remember that day. I was doing it for your own good. It wouldn’t have worked out between us. I lived fast, had a string of women, and was totally irresponsible. I knew Marty was the best thing for you.”
“We waited a long time.”
“I know. Too damn long for my taste. But there’s a reason for everything. Look at you two. People can tell a mile away you’re in love with each other.”
“Yes, we are in love.”
“Do you have room to love someone else?”
Lacy looked into his eyes. For the first time, Jerry didn’t look like he wanted to strip her down, throw her on the floor and fuck her senseless. He gazed lovingly into her eyes as he stroked the back of his hand on her cheek. She didn’t know how to handle it. “Jerry, are you asking me what I think you’re asking me?”
“What’s that?”
“Do you want to be my boyfriend…too?”
“Boyfriend, lover, mate, whatever term you’re comfortable with.”
“How about friend?” Lacy took his hand and held it. She couldn’t decide what to do or say next. In college Jerry had been the typical frat boy. Marty just inherited millions after his uncle’s death, but still stayed in school and became an engineer. She decided to become a writer. Yeah, she would be the typical starving artist, but storytelling and weaving tales of worlds of her creation became second nature to her. She volunteered at libraries and community centers reading to children. Later she started writing, and submitted her first manuscript of short children’s stories. She was ecstatic, when someone paid her to tell stories. She just about flipped when she started getting fan mail.
Lacy did like Jerry a lot back then, so much she thought she wanted him as a boyfriend. She’d been hurt when he turned down her advances. Especially after he gave her a cock and bull story about not being good enough for her. But, he wasn’t. He’d gone through women, cars, and booze like a man who only had weeks to live. But something happened. Marty stepped in and helped get his life back on track. Jerry straightened out, studied hard, and got a job in marketing. Before anyone knew it, he began brokering deals for major Fortune 500 companies.
Lacy thought about her own love life back then. She had moved on, and dated here and there. Everyone thought she and Marty would be an item, but were only buddies. It wasn’t until two years ago they decided to hook up, and were glad they waited. Their relationship couldn’t be stronger, healthier or more stable.
Jerry always admired their relationship, and a day didn’t go by that he didn’t mention how he missed out on a good thing. Even told her once if Marty screwed up, he would be right there to replace him. He’d said it jokingly—she thought.
Was he trying to make up for lost time, even though she and Marty were lovers?
“You may be comfortable with being friends, but I want more. I think we can have more.”
“Jerry, aren’t you forgetting something?”
“What?”
“I’m in love with Marty. We’re lovers and living together.”
“I know.”
“But—.” Before she could get another word out, Jerry’s lips were on hers again.
Then without interrupting the kiss, he bent down and lifted Lacy out of her chair. He took her straight to his room and plopped her on the bed. “I wouldn’t think of doing to you what I want on yours and Marty’s bed,” he said, looking down at her.
“What do you want to do to me?” Lacy couldn’t believe how wet her panties were getting. There would be a change of underwear before the morning was over.
“Please you. All I want to do is please you.” He took off his shirt but nothing else. He didn’t need to, his body was magnificent. Just a sprinkling of hair trailed down his torso. His pecs were hard, his abs solid and ripped. He got on the bed and lay on his side. Touching her cheek, he brought her face to him for another kiss. “I love kissing you.”
“I noticed.”
“You can try to kiss back.” He smirked.
“I’m speechless, Jerry. I don’t know what to say or—”
“There’s nothing to say or do. Marty and I figured you needed help with your threesome book. What better research than to indulge in the practice?”
“This is not like I’m writing a book on fishing and we’re renting a boat. We’re talking sex! Sex, I might add, with more than one man.”
“Yeah, isn’t it great?”
Lacy sat up on her elbows and looked at him as if seeing him for the first time. “You’re serious.”
“Never been more. Now relax.” He gently pushed her shoulders down, getting her to lie flat on her back. Not once did her eyes leave his. “All I’m going to do is get familiar with your body. Nothing more. I promised Marty I wouldn’t go past kissing.”
“Jerry, wait! I shouldn’t have even allowed you to bring me in here, especially without Marty being here.” She tried to get up and off the bed, but Jerry held on tight to her arm.
“Aha! So in other words, if he were here you wouldn’t have a problem with me having you?”
“Yes. I mean no. I mean…look, you know I’ll always care about you. You were my first crush and now my best friend.”
“I know, and so does Marty, that’s why he has no problem with me being with you.”
Lacy rolled her eyes. Was he kidding? “You two really discussed this? When?”
“A couple of months ago, and once before I got here. He told me about the book you were working on.”
“But it was only a few days ago that he knew about the book.”
“Actually he knew before then, he just waited for you to say something. But then, three days ago he found you were really frustrated in getting something down. Were you trying to keep that from him?”
“No, I was just too embarrassed that I couldn’t write anything. I mean what kind of erotica writer am I if I couldn’t write a threesome?”
“You just needed a little inspiration.” Jerry pulled her back down on the bed.
A little inspiration? She wasn’t sure if she had this in mind. But the more she thought about it, the more it made sense. Why not? She loved Marty and she did have a special place in her heart for Jerry. Always did, always would, no denying that. And she couldn’t deny the fact the thought of having them both at the same time turned her on. Look what had happened a couple of days ago.
But that still didn’t explain away the fact they’d discussed this a couple of months ago.
“How do you decide to engage in a threesome just like that?” she asked, trying to stall for time. She still wasn’t sure about being with Jerry
alone
.
“You don’t. The desire already has to be there.”
Lacy thought a moment. So, Marty did have the desire all this time. He never suggested or even hinted. It wasn’t until he found out about the book that she saw the darkening of his eyes. It made him hot when she mentioned the theme of the book, and that was when he mentioned Jerry. He told her he meant to make the connection between Jerry and a threesome. Marty even asked her if she thought about the both of them and if it bothered her. Then that afternoon, when she’d been so turned on, he’d egged her on, mentioning the three of them. But he was just trying to find out her take on threesomes in general.
Wasn’t he?
Apparently not.
Jerry’s strong hands roamed over her body. Even with her clothes still on, the pressure of his touch….Oh God! It aroused her. She attempted to get off the bed, but he stopped her.
“What’s the matter, doll face?”
“What’s the matter? I’m getting turned on by another man.”
“Don’t think of me as another man. I’m your friend. I’m yours and Marty’s friend. A friend, I might add, who has permission to be with you.”
“I can’t. I feel like I’m cheating on him. No matter how I may find you attract…”
Jerry sat up and looked at her with a knowing grin. “So, you still find me attractive?”
“I’m in a relationship, but I’m not dead. But, that’s not the point. We can all find each other attractive, that doesn’t mean we should all jump in bed together.” She moved Jerry’s hand that seemed to be glued on her breast.
“Lie back down and relax. I’m not going to do anything too outrageous to you—yet. Just think of this as part of your research. You’re turned on, I can tell. Why not see how far your…arousal gets. I promise not to let you get out of hand. I promised Marty, remember?”
Lacy blinked a couple of times, not believing what she’d heard. Marty didn’t mind! Maybe she was being silly. Jerry touching her wouldn’t be too bad. They were friends. He promised he wouldn’t go too far. He said Marty gave him permission. She gave herself a mental shake.
What am I thinking?
Before she could answer, Jerry pulled her toward him. Cradling her in his arms with her back against his chest, he kissed the back of her head and caressed her from her neck to the tops of her thighs. “I’ve dreamt of this for a long time. When I knew I was coming here, all I could think about was wrapping my arms around you.” He opened her blouse a bit and smoothed the palm of his hand over her bare breast. “Nice.”
Lacy squirmed, but that only made him harder, the evidence poking her in the back. “Jerry.”
“I can’t help it, that’s why I kept my pants on.”
He positioned her slightly on top, and kissed her again. This time he jammed his hands into her tight, curly mane. “’You’re so sweet,” he breathed, barely taking his lips off hers. “Come on, doll face, kiss me back like you mean it, like I know you really want to.”
Hearing those words from his lips were the trigger for her to lose all common sense. She responded to his kiss and as she did, he became more aggressive, pulling at her blouse, trying to get to the buttons. And his kissing. She’d been French kissed before, but damn!
They continued kissing and caressing, getting lost in each other’s embrace, not caring where they were or who saw them
“Glad to see you two getting along.”
Lacy sat up so fast, Jerry rolled off the bed.
***
“Marty!”
“Please, don’t get up,” Marty raised his hand and sat on the edge of the bed. Jerry picked himself off the floor and sat on the other side of her.
“What happened to your meeting?” Lacy asked, as she quickly buttoned her blouse. Damn, she must have lost her mind.
“Mr. Kerry had to cut it short.” Marty reached over and rubbed her legs. “I see you found something to occupy yourself.”
“Marty—”
He raised his hand. “It’s all right. Didn’t Jerry explain that to you?”
“He told me you knew.” She popped off the bed after straightening herself up.
“Well then?”
She stood in the middle of the room with her hands on her hips and looked at both of them as if they’d sprouted wings and flown around. Then she remembered Jerry mentioning he’d engaged in this a long time ago, and so did Mart…. “Whoa. Do you mean to tell me you two engaged in a threesome—together?”
“By George, I think she’s got it.” Jerry got up and put on his discarded shirt.
“But, I don’t understand. Is that the lifestyle you prefer?” She really directed the question to Marty. Is this what he really wanted?
Am I keeping him from a lifestyle that he’s comfortable with?
“When we engaged in a threesome, we found out we both loved it, it was great physically. But emotionally, there was no connection.” Marty said coming toward her and fixing her blouse. He gave her a knowing grin.
“Did that surprise you?” She casually moved away and sat in a nearby chair. She really didn’t want to be near a bed with both of them and the looks Marty gave her made her nervous. She wasn’t sure where the conversation would end. More than likely it would end with her as a Lacy sandwich.
“Lacy, don’t think because we engaged in some sex that seems a bit unconventional, no connection could be made. A ménage with the right people can be very emotionally rewarding.” Jerry winked at her.
“The women we encountered just weren’t the right ones.” Marty came over and scooted Lacy over in the chair, sitting next to her. She loved being near him, being touched by him, being loved by him. She got the same feeling when Jerry embraced her not too long ago. Could it be possible to have a strong emotional bond with two men—at the same time?
