  We arrive at his in no
time; I’m ushered out of the car and into his place. He shuts the door and picks me up and walks into his bedroom.

  He places me down on the bed a lot gentler than I thought and drops down to his knees in front of me. He takes my shoes off and sits back on his heels. I move a little so I can get the bottom of my dress and pull it over my head.
