“I love you,” she said.
He blinked and swallowed. “Forever.”
With one thrust he impaled her on his shaft and let gravity pull her down. As he drove his cock as deep as possible, he curled one hand over the edge of the cushion near her head and the other hand he placed around the front of her throat. He didn’t squeeze or restrict her breathing in any way, but the message was clear. She belonged to him.
Her belly clenched and her sheath sucked at his cock, desperate for more.
“Please,” she begged. “Please.”
“I do love the way you beg. You want to come, sunshine?”
“Yes.”
He pinched her nipple and tugged hard. “Yes, what?”
“Yes, Sir.”
“Damn straight.” He picked up the pace of his thrusts. “Do you want me to fill you with my cum?”
“Yes. Please, Scott. Come inside me.”
“Squeeze me tight, sunshine.” He pressed deep and his cock twitched as the first shot of his hot cum filled her.
He ground the base of his cock against her clit, setting off a wave of heat that rippled like a sonic boom from her pussy all the way to her head and back down in an undulating wave that went on and on as his hips continued to pump, drawing out the pleasure until her tears began to fall.
“I love you, Beth,” he mumbled into her hair after several minutes of them both struggling to catch their breath. “I swear to God. You have always been the only woman for me.”
It took him several tries fumbling with the rope with his clumsy fingers to free her bindings. Of course, she wasn’t much help either as she lay panting on the stool.
Somehow he found the strength to stumble to his feet and carry her over to a cot situated against the side of the wall. They tumbled to the mattress, but his hold on her never loosened.
“Are you mad at me?” he asked. “For bringing in another guy?”
She looked around the room in search of the guy in question and found that Sterling had left the room.
“No.” She laid her palm against his stubbly cheek. Chills set into her bones and her teeth began to chatter. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know how to tell you. I thought something was wrong with me. To want…that.”
The press of his hands up and down her back was tender and warm, slowly infusing her with his strength and love.
“Believe me, Beth. In this fucked-up world, you’re normal. Look, I know your history and I still love you. All of you. I want to get to know you better. And I want you to get to know you better. Will you let me share your life with you? We can help each other fight the demons of our past.”
“I’d like that.” She settled deeper into his embrace and kissed the corner of his mouth before drawing back far enough to look into his eyes. “I love you. Scott Maguire.”
The tiny silver flecks in his blue eyes sparkled as they grew watery. He blinked away the moisture. “I never thought I’d hear you say those exact words.”
“You’re going to hear them so often, you’ll be sick of it.”
“Never. Never, sunshine.”
He lowered his head a fraction of an inch closer, then a little bit more. She smiled and met him the rest of the way, fusing their lips together in a tender kiss that slowly smoldered and caught flame with an intensity she had come to expect from him. With sighs and gentle caresses he conveyed his love, and to her immense relief, her body began to respond and tingle in the same manner as when he had her tied up and receiving a kiss from the flat of his hand. Gone was the fear that she would never be able to enjoy the softer side of lovemaking, because now she knew Ant saw her, the real her, and was able to provide what she needed, when she needed.
“Why the tears, sunshine?” He licked at the wetness on her cheek with the tip of his tongue.
She hadn’t realized she had begun to cry. “I don’t know. Happy. Scared. Relieved.”
“Yeah. If I wasn’t such a hardened son of a bitch, I’d probably be bawling right now too.” He winked then rolled over to pin her under his aroused body.
She chuckled and opened herself up for his possession. Mouths melding, tongues dueling, hands groping and touching everywhere she reached.
The skin of her bottom burned and chafed ever so slightly against the cotton sheet with the reminder that if she asked, Ant would take her as hard and rough as she wanted. But to her delight, she realized she loved watching him learn his limits just as much as she did learning hers.
She wrapped her legs around his waist and the scrape of the scar decorating his side kissed the inside of her thigh, sending tingles over her flesh, for it was a signal he was in a position to take her, claim her. Feeling that promise of the plunge of his cock in drove her insane.
“Take me,” she begged and tugged his lower lip with her teeth. “Fill me, Scott. Please.”
He reared up with an evil laugh. He rolled his hips and rubbed the length of his cock against her sex in teasing lunges. “I’m more interested in seeing how desperate I can make you.”
“Please!” she cried.
As he leaned down to kiss her, a knock sounded at the door. Before her brain had a chance to process the sound, the door open and Sterling entered.
“Sorry, lovebirds. Hate to interrupt, but Chesterfield found a way to trace Beth to Steele, and he’s made contact. He wants Beth and is ready to take out all of Deep Ellem to find her. We’ve got to roll with this. Now.”
Chapter Eleven
Adamantium patted Beth’s hands where she had them settled on his abdomen, then revved the motor of his 1963 Harley Davidson Duo Glide and took off down the road leading out of the EM compound. The tips of her nails dug into his abdomen, but he accepted the pain and used it to hone his motivation to keep her safe during the upcoming altercation.
The message from Chesterfield had come via the manager at Bone Daddy’s. He had reported several unknown men driving BMWs had descended on the biker bar, showing around photos of Adamantium. Although no one had been hurt during the encounters, they were flashing enough firepower to show they were ready to inflict some serious damage. They frightened the manager enough to call Steele and order him to have his man take care of his shit, to which Steele agreed, especially when Chesterfield was prepared to blow Bone Daddy’s off the map.
Which was why Ant, Beth, Steele, and Cobalt were on their way to Chesterfield’s mansion. As far as Mr. Ivy League was concerned, he thought his threats scared their crew enough to bring Beth back to his filthy clutches. Ha. If he only knew what Elite Metal had in store for him, he’d be better off forgetting Beth and her kin ever existed.
Normally, the team would refuse to meet an enemy on their home turf, but Sterling believed Chesterfield was a bigger player in Red Wolf’s organization than he appeared to be and wanted full access to his estate.
Ant didn’t like it. Not one bit. And he liked it even less that Beth was with them. He’d prefer she was safe at home tucked into his bed, but Chesterfield was expecting a show, and Beth was the star performer.
Three miles from Chesterfield’s estate, they pulled off onto the side of the road. Ant helped Beth off the bike then adjusted the headband he tied around his forehead.
“Ad-119 to Sterling. Do you copy?” He spoke loud enough for the mike in the diamond stud earring in his left earlobe to pick up the sound of his voice.
“Coming in loud and clear, Ad-119. Come in,” Sterling responded into his earpiece.
“Copy.”
“Steele to Sterling. Copy?” Steele said, checking his own microphone.
“Yes, sir.”
“What’s your twenty?”
“We have a perimeter set around the house and Merc is decorating the yard as we speak. Ant was right, this guy’s security is shit.”
“Copy,” he said with a stifled chuckle. “How many men are on site?”
“Two at the gate. Two on the roof, a pair in the back and five heat signatures in the house.”
“Copy. We’re going to run a final equipment check, then head in.”
“Copy.”
“Copper. Status?”
“Targets are detained. Bone Daddy’s is clear. Chrome is dropping our guests off at HQ right now.” Copper’s voice came across Ant’s earpiece.
“Copy,” Steele replied. “Haul ass here ASAP.”
“Already en route, sir. Over.”
“Excellent. Ant, check your girl and let’s roll.”
“Yes, sir.” He turned toward Beth and checked the fit of the biker vest wrapped around her torso, making sure the GPS tracker sewn into her bra was operational. If they were to become separated, the team would be able to pick up her location in seconds.
Her vest was fashioned in the same style as his, with the appropriate badges embroidered on the front and fitted with a layer of polymer underneath the leather to provide protection from a blade or small-caliber bullet—“small” being the operative word.
“Stay by me and follow every order I give,” he told her. “I mean it, Beth. When I say duck, you duck. When I say run, you run. If you see me go down, you get the fuck out of there.”
“Then promise me you won’t go down.”
He cupped her beautiful face in his shaking palms and looked down into eyes so full of love for him that he was tempted to say fuck it all, toss her on the back of his bike, and blaze a trail all the way to Mexico. Unfortunately, he was an honorable man.
“I can’t promise things won’t get hairy, but I’ll do everything in my power to keep us both safe.”
“I guess this is something I’ll have to get used to. You going into dangerous situations.”
“Yep. Unfortunately.”
“Then I better give you a damn good reason to come home.” And with that she stood on her tiptoes and kissed him like he was her last meal.
He gave back just as good as he got and clutched her tightly, cursing the thickness of their vests and clothes keeping him from indulging in the softness of her skin. In his head, he knew he had taken the proper precautions to keep them safe, and he had absolute faith in his team, but his heart was all too aware that the best-laid plans could be blown into oblivion. The reminder was permanently carved into his side.
“Unless you’re willing to spread that kiss around, let’s get going,” Bolt said.
He broke away from Beth with a curse. “One more minute.”
“We’re burning moonlight, cowboy,” Steele added. “Let’s get this show on the road so we can all head home and I can get a little action myself.”
Bolt shook his head. “That’s it. Rub it in for the single guy.”
Ant ignored the ribbing and pressed his forehead to Beth’s. “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
With one last kiss, they climbed back onto the Harley and set off.
The street leading up to Chesterfield’s mansion was devoid of all cars and so quiet the roar of the bikes’ engines echoed as if they were in a metallic cavern, practically announcing their arrival to the entire state of Texas.
The sight of the two men dressed in matching black suits standing on either side of the driveway gave Ant a good chuckle. If he had a nickel for every Goons-R-Us hire he’d come across, he’d have been able to pay off all five of his brothers’ student loans.
Beth’s hold around his waist tightened while the guards took their sweet time opening the gate. He was certain the leisurely pace was for the rest of Chesterfield’s security detail to get a better look at them from all angles. He flashed the guard closest to him a pearly white smile and rolled past him down the drive. He looked in his side mirror and saw a shadow peel away near the fence line and approach the guards. A heartbeat later, both men fell to the ground and were dragged out of sight.
As they continued down the drive Steele said, “Merc. Status?”
“Outside is clear.” Mercury spoke so quietly, it was difficult to make out his gravelly voice over the sound of the bikes. “Heading inside. Confirmed two are with the target. Approaching third one in three, two.” The line went dead for the span of three heartbeats. “Another one down.”
“Copy.”
The trio stopped in front of the main house but kept their motors running. Ant revved his motor twice and counted to three, then revved it twice again. By the light of the front porch, Ant made out the shapes of the two hires standing on top of the roof.
“On my count,” Platinum’s voice came across his earpiece. “Three, two, one.”
All three of them revved their motors and kept the cacophonous noise rolling until he thought his ears would bleed.
Take the fucking shot, Platinum.
The guards dropped out of sight, and the men released their grip on the accelerators and turned off the engines.
“Lordy, that was loud.” Beth shook her head. “My ears are ringing.”
“That was the point,” he replied. “Might as well let ‘em know who they’re dealing with. And speaking of ears, I’m gonna say things in there you might not like. Just ignore me and know that I love you, and respect you, more than anything.”
“Okaaay,” she said and offered a brave smile, although he saw the fear shining in her eyes. “I trust you.”
Thank God for that.
As they made their way to the front door, Beth stood in the center and the three men surrounded her as if she were royalty and they were her personal guard.
They had barely stepped foot on the first of three steps when the right side of the double doors opened and two more suits ushered them inside.
“Nice joint,” Bolt muttered in Ant’s ear. “Although the four-foot-tall urns and fake palm trees are a bit much. Feels like I’m in the middle of a Vegas casino.”
“I’d figure our odds of beating the house are about the same too,” Steele added.
“Arms out,” Suit One ordered.
Ant held out his hands. “Do we get to return the favor?”
“Whadda ya think, asshole?”
He chuckled and let the suit pat him down. “While you’re down there, do you wanna give my balls a scratch? I’d appreciate it.”
The suit grunted and moved on to give Steele and Cobalt the same treatment, even having the insides of their boots checked for good measure. Beth stood silently to the side. The guards never once looked in her direction, just as Ant had hoped.
With the pat down over, they were escorted to the living room, where Chesterfield waited with another man dressed like all of the other guards. Excellent. Everyone was accounted for.
