he next morning
, the sound of trickling water hitting the shower floor woke Zee up. Without opening her eyes, she reached over and grabbed Seth’s pillow and snuggled it. Squeezing the pillow into her face, she inhaled, the sweet masculine smell of Seth filled her nose.
Mmmm, we need to bottle this shit up and start selling it as some awesome fucking cologne.
Seth got out of the shower and stood in front of the bathroom doors. His cock wiggled back and forth as he dried his hair and face off with the towel.
“Good morning honey bunches.” Zee muttered through the pillow.
Seth looked over at Zee, “Good morning, lazy bones. You getting up soon?”
“Hell no… I’m not getting out of bed until the crack of noon.” She replied.
“Cool with me, bunches face.” Seth continued to dry off. “You have fun with that.”
“Oh, I will, don’t you worry.” Zee flipped over creating a pillow throne.

eth walked
out to the squad car, patting his side and all his pockets.
Gun? Check… wallet, keys, phone… check check check.
He heard knocking from the bedroom window. He looked up to see Zee standing there, in all her morning glory, naked as a jay bird.
“You want me to call my sister and try to have dinner with them tonight?” Zee yelled down.
“How about we play it by ear, this time.” Seth said back. “You…go back to sleep!”
Damn that girl has no fuckin’ shame. But damn it I love her. When I’m feeling depressed, she cheers me up. When I’m feeling stressed, she calms me down. When I feel like I can’t accomplish something, she’s the first one to show me support and tries so hard to help me in any way she can. She motivates me, she inspires me, she pushes me to do better, to act better, to feel better and believe in better things. She loves every single flaw I have, and has never once attempted to change them. Instead, she embraced them and accepted me for me. She is really and truly the love of my life. She is my swiss-army-wife. And I’m the luckiest man on this earth.

P
ulling into the precinct
, Seth looked around and found the Honda Civic. Ashley’s Honda Civic.
Oh good she’s here.
Seth parked right next to her. He got out of the squad car and put his suit jacket on, pulling it from the back seat. Looking at his reflection in the driver door window, he adjusted his perfectly tied Eldridge knot.
Looking sharp, feeling sharp today Seth,
he thought to himself. He made his way into the precinct. Standing there at the front doors, Seth looked over at the front desk expecting to see Ashley sitting there. Instead there was a kid he didn’t recognize. He was wearing a police uniform, but Seth questioned if he was old enough to grow facial hair.
He glanced around until he found Ashley. She was dressed in a skirt suit and blouse with her suit jacket unbuttoned. Hanging off her hip she was holstering a .45 cal. Compact 1911.
“Good morning Lane.” Ashley said.
“Well, good morning to you. What happened to you?” Seth asked.
“The Captain reassigned me.”
“Oh good for you… where too? If you don’t mind me asking?” Seth asked.
“To you.” Ashely said, handing over a blank, new case file.
Seth looked at the case file and then up over Ashley’s shoulder, into his office. Detective Moore was sitting on the edge of Seth’s desk. Seth leaned a bit more to the left and looked down. Sitting in front of his desk was a young woman. She was crying.
“I’ll get us some coffee and I’ll meet you in your office.” Ashley said, passing over the case file.
THE END.
