“It’s alright than. I am going to wait for him upstairs.”

I reply simply. I ignore his worried face and keep going to my destination. The elevator doors open and I step inside. I press the number and I wait patiently as the doors close. The knots in my stomach are getting bigger making it harder to breathe. I close my eyes and all I can think of is his hazel eyes and his glorious touch. I’ve missed him so much; thinking about it makes me want to cry. When it comes to Ernest I get emotional, bitchy, and angry. I should be alright with them because I knew from the beginning where I was going to get myself into but now, things have changed. I have fallen so deep at the bottom of the ocean I don’t think I will be able to claim up again. I’m drowning with my sorrows because I know that there is no cure. Not now, not ever!

I stand in front of his door taking extremely deep breaths. I made it so far but how strong am I making it through that door. I guess I am going to find out right now. I knock on the door and wait for an answer. Nothing! When I knock the second time I hear a noise from the other side. He’s here, I knew it! As I get ready to knock for the third time the handle starts moving and the door starts to open. When finally I get a chance to see him, something deep inside me brakes in half. This is not my man; this is someone that I have never seen before. Her long blonde hair and big hazel eyes, her smile so bright I can almost see Ernest in her. I look at her confused and distracted at the same time. She takes a step outside and slowly says,

“My name is Nan
a. And you are?”
