Fallon bit at her lip as he pressed further inside her. He felt incredibly large with the plug still lodged in her ass and every inch he claimed seemed to take an eternity. She dropped her knees a bit, opening herself wider, hoping to give him more room. Gil took her gift and surged forward, filling her with his thick shaft.

“You feel so good. So warm and wet.” He dragged the heavy length of his cock back through her tissues, teasing each nerve as he withdrew from her body. “I could stay inside you forever,” he moaned, slowly pushing back inside, rotating his hips as he locked himself in place. “Spend every moment filling this sweet paradise.” He pulled back and thrust again. “Live on your taste, your smell.”

Tears burned behind her lids and she fought to blink them away. Gil had always expressed himself during sex, but she knew better than to believe his words. They were spoken during heat and fury, when blood pounded in his veins and the sound of their hearts beating in his ears crushed out the rest of the world. She wouldn’t allow herself to think he meant them.

Fallon pushed the unsettling thoughts away, concentrating on the easy strokes of Gil’s cock through her channel. He was still going softly, his hips just rocking gently back and forth, as if giving her a chance to gather herself before the real onslaught began. She smoothed her hands across his back, feeling his muscles contract and release with each stroke. It was like touching liquid steel. She moaned, the warm feeling returning.

“I feel it too, darling. Ready for more?”

Fallon pulled her head from his neck and smiled at him. “I told you I could take anything you dished out and still beg for more,” she teased, punching her hips up, meeting his next stroke. “So stop worrying and take me.”

Gil’s eyes narrowed for a moment, then widened as a slow, sly smile spread across his face. He lowered down, and licked her lip. “As you wish,” he whispered, kissing her gently before rising up on his hands. Then he hitched his thumbs behind her knees and planted her ankles on his shoulders. She gasped at the new angle, loving how it drove him deeper, but knowing the intensity would leave her screaming.

“Damn, you’re tight,” gasped Gil, pushing through her channel. “Tight and wet and all mine.”

“Faster.” It was all she could say without crying. And if he didn’t start thrusting into her, she knew she’d lose herself in the sensuality of his rhythm, and she couldn’t afford to do that.

Gil seemed to pause for a moment, as if reading her thoughts, but then picked up his tempo, filling her with strong steady strokes. His crown thickened inside her, pulsing against her womb, igniting each nerve in sequence as it advanced and retreated. The vein on the underside pushed against the plug through her thin membrane, sending shards of fire into her ass. She arched back, anchoring herself on his arms, twisting her hips to meet his strokes, fighting against the climax already building.

“You’re getting close, aren’t you, darling?”

Fallon stared up on him, watching the edges of his jaw clench. She tightened around him, loving the way his eyes narrowed and a muted moan tore from his chest. “So are you,” she tossed back.

Gil smiled, lifting her legs slightly higher. “True. So why don’t I give us what we both want.”

And then he was driving into her, plunging fast and deep, claiming not only her body, but her soul. She cried out, clenching her hands around his arms, digging her nails into his taut flesh. Her release surged through her, catching her by surprise, stealing what strength was left in her body. She screamed his name, felt her body shatter around him, and then darkness.

Gil shouted as Fallon’s passage clamped around him, gripping him so tightly his orgasm stalled, robbing him of his breath until her muscles weakened, and he came in one hard spurt. He could feel the steady contractions of her pussy along the length of his shaft, coating it with warm, slick juice. He yelled her name, pouring his seed into her channel, knowing her body would take every drop. She was limp beneath him, a contented smile touching her lips as he contracted again, spilling more cum from his cock. His body was locked over hers, his muscles clenched so hard he had to force his arms to relax, allowing him to collapse on top of her. She sighed out a hushed breath, rustling the hairs on his neck as she snuggled into his warm, seemingly unaffected by his weight on her. Gil smiled, but then frowned. What the hell was he doing?

Hurting the only woman you’re ever love!

He growled at the righteous voice in his head, kissing Fallon’s forehead as he slowly pulled free of her body. He watched a small pout crease her face before she shifted again and drifted into a deeper sleep. God, she was so damn beautiful he nearly cried.

Gil cursed and eased off the bed, stumbling his way to the bathroom. He needed to clean himself up and bring a washcloth back for Fallon. Though he knew she’d sleep the night away in his arms, he didn’t want her to be uncomfortable with his seed drying between her legs. And for some reason, her comfort seemed more important than anything else. He shook his head, warming a cloth under the tap when he stole a look in the mirror. His hair was spiked up across his head and there was a small red blemish on the left side of his neck.

He tilted his head, examining the small bruise. His little vixen had taken quite a chunk out of him. Seems she’d been unable to control herself. He smiled with a sense of male pride and made his way back to the bed. Fallon had rolled onto her side, fanning her hair across her shoulder. He brushed it back from her face, loving the soft feel of it against his fingers. She pressed against his hand, another soft sigh feathering across her lips.

“Shhh,” he hushed, lifting her leg just enough to ease the cloth between them and soothe the flesh beneath. He moaned as he gently removed the plug, loving how her body clenched around it, begging him to give her more. Even asleep she responded to him. Her nipples tightened as a soft red flush spread across her skin. His cock tightened, but quickly quelled the growing ache. He’d already come twice. She needed to sleep.

Somewhere in his mind the voice was taunting him about fucking her all night, but it faded as he climbed in beside her, rolling her onto his chest. She moulded perfectly against him and the lump in his throat returned.

Gil closed his eyes and listened to the soft sounds of Fallon sleeping. How many nights had he laid in his dismal apartment, wishing he could have her just one more time? And yet, as he wrapped his arms around her, he knew he’d never be content with just one night. Hell, a lifetime of nights didn’t seem long enough. But that meant admitting his feelings for her, not only to himself, but to Fallon as well. And he wasn’t quite sure how she’d react. He’d sensed her caution, and he couldn’t blame her. He’d hurt her in more ways than one and trust wasn’t something she simply gave away.

“Damn.”

The word was soft and low, but it sounded loud in his head. How could he tell her how he felt when, in her eyes, all he was after was a good hard fuck? She’d been right. He wasn’t trying to break down the walls. And as much as he loved her, he’d only allowed her to scratch the surface of his emotions. Pleasure was easy, but would he let her see more? Pain? Trust? Fear?

Fallon whispered his name in her sleep and he couldn’t help but draw her closer. She seemed so small and fragile in his arms, and he was reminded of how she’d looked earlier when she’d confessed her darkest secret to him. He sighed and relaxed into the bed. He’d figure it out in the morning, but for now, he’d hold her.

Chapter Fourteen

Fallon sighed and rolled over in the bed, snuggling beneath the covers. The bed seemed cold and it took her a few moments to realise Gil wasn’t beside her. She pushed herself up, not caring how the blanket slipped down to her waist as she gazed around the empty room. Gil’s shirt she’d been wearing last night before he’d yanked it off her had been hung across the back of a chair and Gil’s clothes were folded across the seat.

“Gil?” She listened for a reply and only then recognised the distant sound of the shower through the door.

She tossed the blankets aside and padded over to the closed door, pressing her ear against the cool wood. The steady spray of water filtered through, accompanied by the deep rumblings of a man lost in his own conversation. Fallon smiled. Seems Gil still insisted on talking everything out with himself. If she hadn’t spent the last few days lost in her visions, she would have found the idea of him babbling away to himself amusing. But not now, when the line between psychic and psychotic was growing smaller by the second.

Fallon sighed and leaned against the wall. She knew Gil would demand more answers today, and she wasn’t sure how to make him believe her. It wasn’t like she could grab his hand and drag him into a vision with her. And she knew anything short of physical proof wouldn’t be enough to sway his judgement. He didn’t believe in psychic powers plain and simple. She doubted even their relationship would be enough to convince him otherwise.

Relationship. You mean a night of hot sex!

The cold reality of the statement sank into her soul, even as she turned the handle and eased open the door. It was safer not to allow herself any emotions other than physical pleasure until she figured out if Gil was planning on more than just a quick reunion fuck—a way to help him through the stress of the case. And if he left once the case was solved, then she’d just go back to her life and…

“Oh my.”

The air rushed out of her lungs and the blood drained from her face and into her sex as she caught her first glimpse of Gil in the shower. He was leaning against the back wall, water cascading down his back and across his buttocks. His head was pressed into the tiles and she could see the tension in his muscles. The steamy glass was just starting to blur the edges of his silhouette, but not enough that she couldn’t take in every detail of his body and how it moved beneath the spray. A familiar red haze surrounded her as she moved forward. She walked to the open panel beside the glass partition and stepped inside.

Gil leaned against the shower wall, his mind lost in thought. He’d spent the better part of an hour lying in the bed, holding Fallon’s gentle weight on his, trying to persuade his body to get up. He needed to talk to the Medical Examiner and go over the crime scene again. Wade had taken his camera back to the office to download the images, and Gil needed to get more information from the CSI gurus before another body was found.
The Priest
was becoming more violent with every attack and based on the rash of bodies, it wouldn’t be long before it became a nightly occurrence.

He told me talking to me helps him quiet his demons, so you should get a day or two reprieve.

Fallon’s words had settled with a thump into his chest and he’d pulled her tighter against his body. He still didn’t know how he was going to breach the subject of her
visions
, and wondered if leaving before she woke up was a better option. Of course, it wouldn’t go a long way to getting him back into her bed again tonight, but then arguing with her wasn’t going to accomplish much either. He knew from experience, she wasn’t going to be very cooperative about the case, not after the way he and Wade had reacted to her confession.

He’d sighed and finally eased her away, tucking the blanket around her shoulders as he’d stood beside the bed. She’d looked like a vision herself, and it’d taken more willpower than he’d imagined to drag his ass to the bathroom and turn on the shower. He’d even gone back for one more glance after he’d gathered his clothes from the kitchen and stacked them on the chair. But common sense had finally won out and now he was standing in the shower, the warm water easing a bit of the tension from his shoulders. Just another few minutes and…

A swirl of cold air drew him from his thoughts. He turned just as Fallon stepped into the shower, her hair flowing around her shoulders, as she moved in behind the spray and leaned against the far wall. A fine mist collected along her skin, making it bead beneath the small droplets. Her nipples tightened from the cold, turning a deep shade of purple near the base and then fading into a dark hued pink. His tongue swiped across his lips as he followed the movement of water down her body, covering first her stomach and then her thighs. Her sex glistened in the pale light, like a beacon calling him home. The lips seemed a cooler pink beneath the light wash of water, though he could tell instantly she was aroused. Even cold, her labia were engorged, giving her mound an almost pouting appearance. He smiled and looked back up at her.

“Good morning,” he rasped, taking a step towards her.

Fallon reached out and touched his chest, scraping her nails across his skin in small circles. The rumble that filled the small space brought a devious smile to her face. “Morning.” She nodded at the steady stream of water. “Still using the shower to talk to yourself, I see.”

Gil couldn’t help but smile. She knew him better than he knew himself sometimes. “Saves me from having to worry about people listening in.” He took another step forward, ducking his head beneath the spray. “But then you never were one for allowing others their personal space.”

Gil watched Fallon’s smile pull tight and turn down into a small pout. She obviously wasn’t in the mood for teasing, though the heat in her eyes told him she was definitely in the mood to play. She shifted and straightened her shoulders.

“If you’d rather be alone…”
