is to “defend the human rights of our people and promote self-determination in our

The Native American Women Veterans site. Over eight hundred Native American women
served in the military during World War II. Very little is known about the history
of Native women serving in the armed forces because “history” shoves Rosie the Riveter

Coalition Against Trafficking in Women
CATW is a non-governmental organization promoting women’s human rights. The coalition
works internationally to combat sexual exploitation in all its forms, especially prostitution
and trafficking in women and children. CATW is composed of regional networks and affiliated
