Chapter 1

Cigarette butts were snubbed out in a filthy ashtray on the wooden dresser. Holes were knocked in the thin sheetrock walls, and the only sound that could be heard in the small motel room was the humming and ticking of the wall unit air conditioner. Tucked away between a set of dingy sheets and a bedspread, Summer lay comfortably on her right side, using her right hand to prop her head up.

She stared at the guy who was next to her. Her firm breasts were pressed against his shoulder, and the warmth that generated between the two of them was electrifying. Summer allowed her fingers to rake through the nappy patches of hair that matted his chest. Her hands were soft and delicate, and her body was sensual. Her eyes were light brown and almond shaped. Attractive wasn’t the correct word for her; she was more than that.

She leaned closer toward the guy. She could feel his heart pounding inside his chest as she slowly worked her hand down toward his stomach. He tensed up a little, but that didn’t stop her. She went further down between his legs. There, she massaged his soft penis as if she had years of experience. Ten minutes of her time was wasted just trying to get him up, until she finally realized there wasn’t any more life there.

He fought hard to control himself. He was tired. Drained, he couldn’t go another round with her if he wanted to.
She’s a high-powered sex machine,
he thought.

On the television set, an old
Sanford and Son
episode was on, but the volume was muted. Summer inched to the groove of his neck. She could hear him breathing and began to smell the menthol cigarette smoke on his breath. Even that wasn’t enough to stop her. Her feelings were beginning to get involved. She got closer, her eraser-sized nipples turning hard as her heartbeat sped up. Plain and simple, Summer wanted him inside of her. She was hot and needed to be cooled down. Sex was her top priority right now, and she had the mentality to use her body to get what she wanted. She was young and energetic; her skin was caramel and felt like silk. Her tiny waist enhanced her tight heart-shaped ass.

She fell to her back, slowly opened her legs wide, and began playing with herself. She inserted two fingers, and they were instantly soaked. She pushed them in and out, but then realized he wasn’t paying her any attention. So, she stopped before going too far.

To be seventeen years old, Summer was different from the rest of the girls her age. She was already a mother of a set of two-year-old twin boys. Having children didn’t disturb her. She just hadn’t planned on having two at one time.

The guy that lay next to her was beginning to make her sick. She cut her eyes at his long, lanky frame. He was 6’3” with a dark chocolate complexion. He was handsome in a few women’s eyes, but not Summer’s. Him being nine years older than she was didn’t make matters better.

When Summer tried to kiss him, he brought up his huge hand to her face before her luscious lips could actually touch his. Her lips curled with a frown, and she sucked her teeth with disgust.

“Why you trippin’?” she asked in a soft voice, not wanting to show too much aggression.

He laid his head flat on the pillow and closed his eyes. Then suddenly, he flipped them open.
This bitch is getting on my damn nerves,
he said to himself before saying out loud to her, “I don’t get down like dat, shawty.”

She frowned. “Oh, so you can fuck me and want me to suck yo’ dick, but now you don’t kiss.”

“I don’t know who else dick you been suckin’.”

She sucked her teeth and rolled her eyes just like any other fast-ass girl her age would do. Summer carried a large chip on her shoulder. She just knew everything was supposed to go her way. In her mind, it was her world. She sat up with an attitude.

“You got some mo’ powder?”

Without hesitation, the guy turned over to his right side and grabbed his pants from the floor. A huge brass belt buckle hung from the pants with a nameplate that read
Frank
, which was his name. He reached inside his front pocket and removed a plastic sandwich bag that contained three grams of powder cocaine. This was Frank’s personal stash.

He quickly untied the knot with his teeth, dipped the nail of his right pinky into it, and took a quick sniff up each nostril. The cocaine stung his nose, and he frowned. His throat became numb in a matter of seconds. Summer watched his every move and noticed his reactions.
