Black Ink (4 page)

I saw the look of need slip over her eyes, the slight parting of her lips asking to be kissed, her hard little nipples aching to be sucked.  I almost shoved her chair around, spread her legs and buried my face in that sweet cunt I have no doubt is wet.  Then I would have fucked her until she screamed.  I wanted to punish her with my cock, make her beg.

I had to get away.  My dick is so hard, I couldn’t face her.

I can’t wait to feel her seduction in her own words, feel the passion simmering inside begging to be set free.

I wonder which one of me you’ll want more, Ms. Trudeau.

3 CHAPTER

Gemma

As I put the finishing touches on the revised proposal, I let out a ragged breath.  The sexual frustration fed my direction, spurred me toward a course I’d never visited before in a legal argument.  I set myself up as the company, and Alexander Black the deliverer of the takeover.  By the time I was done, I would have begged him to take me, the company, to only be owned by him.

It was brilliant.

The only problem is I’m so damn horny I could scream.  Flashes of Black doing dirty things, very bad things to me was my inspiration, each one more vivid, more kinky than the next.  By the time my mind had my hands bound over my head from the ceiling with Black flicking a riding crop over my bare flesh begging him for more, I was so close to coming I was almost delirious.  My body is vibrating from the carnal hunger clawing at me.

Giving it a last once over, I click print and rush to the bathroom to splash cold water on my face.  My expression makes me laugh.

“You look like an animal in heat Gemma.”

On the way back to my desk I see the office is virtually empty.  I’m shocked when I glance at my Rolex and realize it’s almost six.

“Shit.”

Alexander Black is still here and on the phone again.

The revisions are complete.
Gemma Trudeau

I know, it looks good…brilliant even Ms. Trudeau.
Alexander Black

It doesn’t surprise he knows what the revised edition looks like even before I’ve presented it to him.

Thank you.
Gemma Trudeau

Bring me the hardcopy.
Alexander Black

Be right there.
Gemma Trudeau

I take a cleansing breath to try and shake the desire still licking my insides and gather the paperwork.  Straightening my spine, I walk into the lion’s den.

I stay standing and wait for him to finish his phone call, not really wanting to put myself in the same position as before.  I don’t want to be more vulnerable than I already feel.

Black raises an eyebrow at me then lowers his ice blue eyes to the chair, directing me to sit.  My body moves of its own accord and takes a seat and I place the document in front of him.

“Fine, that’s good news.  Let me know when the negotiations are complete.”  He hits a button on the phone and disengages the call.

Sheez, ever hear of social etiquette?

“Ms. Trudeau, I’m very pleased with you.  Your passion resonated in the pages and achieved the desired results.”

His smirk leads me to believe he’s not only talking about the take-over.

“Thank you Mr. Black.”

He studies me.

“Tell me Gemma, do you understand why it works so beautifully?”

His fingers stroke his jaw again.  I want to push them away and follow the hard line with my tongue.

Then it finally seems so clear, why the seduction seemed so perfect for the take-over approach.

“Because it is a hostile take-over.”

The corner of his gorgeous mouth lifts and his eyes narrow to slits.

“Go on.”

“The approach removed the hostility allowing for pliability and acquiescence.  They will want to submit…”

“Exactly, Gemma,” his voice is like silk caressing me.

“It’s brilliant.”  I smile.

“It’s need and desire, fulfillment and vanquishment.  It’s sex, Gemma, knowing what you need and giving it to you, making you want it.”

I swallow, holding back the desire rising in my again.

“Natural human instinct Mr. Black.”

“No, Ms. Trudeau it’s primal and primitive, it’s the essence of what we are, animals with a desire to consume and devour.  And…,” he shrugs, “some need to be taken, bitten, marked, erotic welts on their skin, fucked in the ass hard and rough.  They need pain with their pleasure to go over the edge.”

My eyes fly open with his filthy graphic description as heat envelopes me, inside and out.

His grin makes me want to writhe.  “Your first day was pleasurable.”

“It was interesting, yes.”  I breathe out.

He dips his head back and laughs, a light carefree sound.  It’s sounds really nice.

“Good.  Let’s see what tomorrow brings, Ms. Trudeau.”

I rise to leave to get away from the close proximity of this insanely sexual beast before I throw myself at him.

“Goodnight Mr. Black.  Let me take this moment to thank you for the opportunity.  I have a feeling it’s going to be quite a learning adventure.”

His eyes glint with a hint of mischief.  “Yes it is.  Goodnight Ms. Trudeau, get home safe.”

Alexander

“Jesús, I’m coming down now.  Ms. Trudeau has just gotten into the elevator on her way home.”  I listen to his update.  “Good, let me know when she arrives there and if she stopped to talk to anyone.”

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

The flat black armored Hummer is waiting for me outside.  Obnoxious vehicle?  Maybe.  But with its bullet proof glass and reinforced walls, it serves its purpose:  it keeps me safe.  A lot of people hate me, for good reason, and my boys, Jesús Ramirez and his brother Carlos, always have my back.

Fate had thrown us all together during the time that piece of shit and his friends in that foster home set the chart on my life.  Carlos was a member of a Latin gang and his little brother Jesús was following in his path.  It was too late for Carlos, once a member always a member, but he didn’t want that life for Jesús.  Carlos helped me take care of those friends, so I took Jesús under my wing.  I was no better than the gang members, but I wasn’t a member.  I taught the kid what he needed to know to survive on the streets.  When I went away to college, the gang sent Carlos to the Army to get battle trained and Jesús had followed.

The streets are their own enterprise.  Gone are the days of simple mob racketeering and prostitution.  It’s a business, a very big business, encompassing corporations that would boggle the mind.  I should know.  I basically bought Carlos when my company earned its place with the heavy hitters.  Jesús was waiting for me when I’d finished college, picking up right where we’d left off.  It was only a different ball game at that time.  New players and playing field, but survival at its fittest with heavier stakes.

Carlos is waiting outside the black wrought iron gates when we pull up to my Louis XVI style mansion on East Ninety Sixth Street off Fifth Avenue.  It’s the only private residence on the island of Manhattan with a driveway and its own garage, the only reason I’d bought it.

“You’re late,” Carlos states flatly.

“Yeah, I know.  Trudeau.”  I don’t have to say anything else, they know the story.

“Mama’s going to be pissed dinner got cold.”

Jesús and Carlos’ mother is the cook and overseer of my house.  Various other family members are staff as well, some of the males are gang members too.  At least to the outside world that’s what it looks like.  They are my family, the only family I’ve ever known.  They live with me in the house.  I take care of what’s mine.

“She’ll understand when I explain it to her.”

I have a soft place in my heart for that woman, the only woman I’ve ever trusted.  She coddled me when I was a kid, feeling the rage that had filled me threatening to destroy me completely.  Her love, caring, and compassion eased some of my fury, and I love her for it.

“Yeah, after she beats your ass,” Carlos laughs.

“You’re just jealous because she loves me more than you,” I tell him, giving him a shove.

“You flirt with her, man!”

“A woman is always a woman, no matter who she is.”

And right now there is only one woman I can’t wait to see when she gets home.

Gemma

The commute home was a complete blur, my mind in a hazy fog of horniness.  If the Latin guy hadn’t asked me on the subway if he could catch the Path train from one of the stops, I would have probably kept going to some place in Brooklyn.  By the time I walk into the house sometime after seven, Kitty is screaming at me.

“I know, I’m sorry I’m late.  You got spoiled with me being home, didn’t you baby?” I coo at her.

“Meow.”

“Alright, I’ll feed you before my shower, you pushy little thing you.”

“Meow.”

After a nice long hot shower and a sandwich, I curl up on the couch with my laptop.

“First things first, this has waited way too long.”

Because I don’t have access to legal documents, I pull up LegalZoom.com and click on divorce.  Even though I’m not a civil lawyer and haven’t worked with divorces, I breeze through the information and get the divorce paperwork filled out pretty quickly.

“If I’d done this years ago, I wouldn’t be in this mess.”

I click print and immediately hear the machine kick on from across the room.  Retrieving the document, I then stack the pages on the coffee table in front of me and grab my phone.  I take a deep breath and make the call.

“Girl, it’s about damn time you returned my calls.  If Tony hadn’t told me you were okay, I was going to drag your ass out of that house and tie you up in little Sal’s room so I could take care of you.”

I laugh.  It’s so good to hear Gina’s voice.  She’s my only friend from the neighborhood.  And she happens to be Tony’s sister, the youngest of the Salvatore children, number one guy in the Jersey mob family under the Capo de Tutt’i Capi, the boss of bosses.  She’s a lawyer as well, (ironic), but she has a private practice here in Jersey City.

“I know, I’m sorry.  I had to get my shit together and it took all my concentration.  I’m really sorry, I didn’t mean to blow you off.”

“Gemma, are you okay?” she asks concerned, all joking aside.

“Yeah, actually really good.  I started working today.  You’ll
never
guess where.”  I grin as all things Alexander Black flash through my mind.

“Yeah?  That’s great.  Back at your old firm?”  I can hear the baby and I’m sure she’s got him on her hip, she’s got three boys.  A pang of longing stabs at my heart.

I take a deep breath.  She knows everything that I know.

“Black Inc.”

“You are fucking kidding, right?!”

I hear in the background, “Mommy said a bad word!” and it makes me laugh.  If her kids only knew what a truck driver their mother was as a kid, they’d be shocked.  We both had hung out with the mafia boys and pulled no punches, we had to hold our own.

“Nope.”

She yells to her husband, “Frankie, take the baby, I’ve got to talk to Gemma!”  Then to me, “Hold on right there, don’t you go anywhere!”  A little shuffling and huffing as I’m sure she’s going to find a quiet spot where she can speak freely.

“Okay, go.”

“What?  There isn’t much to tell, there was a listing for a position with his firm in mergers and acquisitions with a professional headhunter so I applied.  I’m one of the best in what I do.  Black is a shrewd and successful business man.  He put the fact my ex screwed him for three million dollars aside and hired me.”  The absurdity of the situation rings clearly in my ears, I can only imagine what Gina thinks.

“You
did
just hear what you said, right?”

“Yeah.  But professionally, hiring me was a smart decision on his part.”

“Maybe not just professionally, Gem.  You know the kind of people we grew up with.  They go to any lengths to know what their enemy is doing.  What better way would Black be able to keep an eye on you if he didn’t have you all to himself eight hours a day, five days a week?  He’d be able to monitor your communications, your comings and goings, without any extra effort at all.  You’re handing it to him on a silver platter.”

The cold truth hits me like a blast of ice water jolting me awake.

“Oh my God…”

“But the bonus is…,” Gina continues, “you can use him as well to re-establish your career.  You have absolutely nothing to hide,
you
didn’t do anything wrong.  Work the fuck out of that situation, go balls blazing wild.  Then after Malcolm’s trial and no implications are made to you, move on to greener pastures.”

“I knew when I applied Black was the only way I’d be able to get my life back professionally.  I knew I had to get a job there, the sucky thing is I’m a legal assistant.  But I don’t care, I had to get my foot in the door, no matter how.”

“Yeah, it sucks but you were right.”

“I hadn’t thought about him wanting to keep an eye on me assuming I was involved in Malcolm’s scheme.”

“Gemma, you said it yourself, he’s shrewd
and
extremely successful.  Is he as hot as he looks?” she asks, shifting directions.

“Fucking hotter G,” I almost pant.

“You need to fuck him.”

“I am
not
going to fuck him!”
