An Erie Operetta (10 page)

“Indeed,” Vincente said, then rose to his feet. “As for me and mine, we’re going to bed. Dawn is creeping as they say.” He gently roused Akio. Akio smiled groggily at me, wished us a good night, then left the study hand-in-hand with Elysian.

“What an odd couple,” Mikel whispered when we heard the door to the cellar close.

“I reckon people say the same about us.” I yawned, then smiled sleepily. “Are you going to allow them to stay? I like Akio; for a human he’s quite pleasant.”

“Hmm.” I took that to mean he would think on it. “Reckon?”

“It felt right at the moment.”

“Vampires and humans were not what I was planning on when we discussed opening the manor to our gay brethren and sisters.”

“I know, but diversity is always a pleasant experience. Think how much we’ll learn,” I pointed out, then yawned right in Mikel’s face. “Perhaps his coffin will keep the rats out of the wine cellar.”

“If my father were alive he would develop mange if he knew what this house had become.” Mikel chuckled and kissed me without reserve.

“Ahem?”

“The pups are uncomfortable,” I whispered over Mikel’s lips. Mikel chortled and kissed me again. Edward and David left us to it. We snorted and then made out for a few minutes more. My hand crept downward to cup his erection. “How about we turn in?”

“Why don’t we just stay here and fuck in front of the fireplace?”

I did like the sound of that idea. Our clothes came off quickly. We slipped to the floor to lay on the faux bearskin rug that decorated the area in front of the roaring hearth. I pulled Mikel down on top of me.

“It’s cold down here,” I said as my arms and legs wound around him.

“I’ll warm you up, have no fear.” Mikel growled, then bit my neck playfully, his cock pressing against my belly. I arched up to trap his thick prick between us.

“Would masters wish another round of toddies to ward off the chill?”

“Damn it, Rugby!”
