Bacoj relished the rich, juicy result
of his clanmate’s efforts. “Vax cooks. Cooks well to feed large
Kalquorian crew.”
Lindsey asked, “That’s your assignment
here on Earth?” She speared a blade of gusasp with her pronged
utensil and closed her eyes in undisguised ecstasy as she
chewed.
Vax nodded. “Assign cook for
containment force.”
Lindsey opened her eyes to stare at
Bacoj. “So you’ve mentioned rescue parties, containment forces, and
now a search party. What’s being searched for?”
Bacoj swallowed before he answered.
“Empress Jessica family.”
Japohn added, “They live near before
war. Must find for her.”
The Earthers paused in their eating,
giving their rapt attention. Tara’s expression in particular was
eager. “Tell us about Empress Jessica. Is she treated well by your
emperors?”
Bacoj blinked his surprise at the
question. “She Empress. She Kalquor leader. All treat well.” He
mused for a moment, while he considered how to inform them of the
Empress’ importance to his people. “She give Empire prince and
princess,” he said finally.
His statement elicited wide-eyed stares
from all three Earthers. Tara choked out, “She’s had
children?”
It had been Jessica’s clanning to the
Imperial Clan that had given Earth the reason to finally declare
war. No doubt her producing heirs would infuriate those who still
took offense to the mixing of the two races. Bacoj kept his tone
carefully neutral. “Boy name Wayne. Princess name
Noelle.”
Aaron suddenly ducked his head, and
Lindsey’s lower lip trembled. Tara’s face beamed with delight, much
to Bacoj’s surprise.
“That’s wonderful!” the elder female
enthused. “Is she happy with her life there?”
Bacoj tried to fathom their responses
to no avail. Well, at least they didn’t seem to be upset at the
combination of Kalquorian and Earther DNA. “I no meet Empress. I
hope she happy.”
Japohn tried to be helpful. “She like
yell at council much. Think she be like Nobek. Enjoy fight for fair
causes. She good leader.”
Tara glowed with what looked like
pride. “For some, fighting for a good cause is life’s greatest
pleasure. I know her type well.”
Lindsey shot a guarded look at her
mother and changed the subject abruptly. “Bacoj says the radiation
will make Earth completely uninhabitable in the next couple of
years. We’ll have to leave the planet to survive.”
“It’s that bad?” Aaron echoed Lindsey’s
question. At her nod, he asked, “Where will we go?”
Bacoj answered him. “You go Kalquor. We
rescue, give Earthers home.”
“Earth has its own colonies. We have
facilities on three of Jupiter’s moons,” Lindsey pointed out. Her
face settled into stubborn lines, her expression a twin of her
father’s.
Bacoj started to answer, but Japohn’s
deep voice resounded with steely command. “Kalquor extinct with no
Earthers. Earthers go with Kalquorians. We need for breed each
other.”
Anger rose in Lindsey and Aaron’s
faces, and Bacoj mentally cursed his Nobek for his heavy-handed
approach.
Before anyone could protest, Tara spoke
up again. “I want to go to Kalquor anyway.” She smiled at Bacoj.
“My youngest daughter was taken to your planet before the war. It’s
my understanding she went willingly.”
The other two Earthers didn’t look
particularly happy, but they kept quiet. It was amusing to see how
the mother ruled the group, her quiet manner holding sway over the
more aggressive members of her family. Maybe Tara could teach Bacoj
how to lead his own clan better.
He came to a quick decision, not
bothering for once to consult with his clanmates. “We take you
search party. Doctor treat Aaron and Vax. I fix ship, take you
rescue party. You go Kalquor, find daughter.”
Tara’s smile warmed him like the
sunshine overhead. “Thank you. We gladly accept your
offer.”
Bacoj looked at Lindsey to see how she
reacted to this sudden change in her future. She stared at him, her
eyes blazing with anger until her gaze slowly rolled over his body.
She swallowed, and a different kind of heat replaced the
resentment. He could see her evaluating the possibilities of being
in close quarters with him and his clan over the next few days, the
same possibilities that were threatening to arouse him in the
presence of her parents.
He hoped she would soon look forward to
their trip as much as he did.
Chapter Four
Lindsey had never appreciated having
her stomach full more than at this moment. The pangs of hunger had
at last dissipated, and she sighed with contentment. Even if sex
with the Kalquorians hadn’t been the mind-blowing wonder it was,
she’d have done it just for this lovely satiety. For once, the grim
reality of their daily lives seemed not so desperate.
Tara spoke for the whole family. “Thank
you again for the lovely meal, Vax.”
“I pleased you enjoy.”
“Oh, very much.” Lindsey and Aaron
helped her clear the dishes. Because they had conceded the
necessity of leaving Fort Lauderdale with the clan, they didn’t
bother hiding the leftover food. Vax repacked everything in the
container he’d brought.
Once everything was put to rights, Tara
smiled brightly at the aliens. “Will you excuse Aaron and me? We
usually meditate at this time.”
“Medidate?” Bacoj stumbled over the
unfamiliar word, mispronouncing it.
“Meditate,” Japohn corrected and said
something in their language. When Bacoj’s expression cleared,
Japohn turned his attention to the elder McInnesses. “This
religious observance?”
Aaron nodded. “We’re Buddhists. Our
faith was outlawed under the old regime, so we had to practice our
religion in secret.”
Tara added, “It’s the same belief
shared by your Empress.”
“Empress known to you?” Bacoj’s mien
was suddenly as suspicious as Japohn’s, and Lindsey’s stomach
knotted in worry.
Lindsey hurried to explain. “When Jess
— when your Empress joined Kalquor’s Imperial Clan, our government
told many stories of her treachery and immoral beliefs. Her
family’s disappearance made the headlines as well.”
The Kalquorians exchanged glances she
couldn’t read. “No know where family go?” Japohn asked.
“They were never captured. It was
speculated they had help from friends in staying hidden. A lot of
people were taken into custody and interrogated, but nothing came
of it.” The guilt of what others had gone through to keep her
family safe rose anew. Lindsey’s only comfort was knowing she’d
have done the same for any of them.
Bacoj considered. “Government catch, no
tell maybe.”
Aaron barked harsh laughter. “Trust me,
had the police caught up with them, they would have been made very
public examples of.”
Lindsey was uncomfortable with the
conversation. Despite having no reason to distrust the Kalquorians,
she wasn’t ready to reveal her family’s identity to these strangers
yet. She changed the subject to one she was sure would distract
them from further questions.
To her parents she said, “I’m going
with the Kalquorians while you meditate. I’ll have a closer look at
their shuttle, see how much space they have for our use.” She
glanced meaningfully at Bacoj and was both gratified and
embarrassed to see his crotch swell as he took in her real
intent.
Her parents nodded. With another round
of thanks, Tara and Aaron went to their meditation area elsewhere
on the roof.
The Kalquorians followed them at a
respectful distance, watching the couple seat themselves. Tara
arranged her legs in the lotus position on a thin yoga mat while
Aaron perched on a sofa cushion. His injury no longer allowed him
to sit with the proper posture.
Bacoj whispered to Lindsey, “We see
Earther meditate? Know how Kalquorian meditate. Curious of Earther
chants, postures.”
“Our form of meditation isn’t much to
look at, especially since we’ve had to keep it secret for our whole
lives. We sit quietly with our eyes closed, searching for peace
within. No extra movement or chants.”
She motioned them towards the
stairwell. As they left her parents behind, Bacoj returned to his
normal speaking voice. “You religion god no anger you share with
us?”
Lindsey looked up to him to make sure
she understood his meaning. The darkness of his eyes as he gazed up
and down her body left little doubt, but she clarified anyway. “You
mean having sex?”
He nodded, a grin slowly taking over
his face. “Yes. You god allow share sex with aliens?”
Lindsey warmed all over. “In Buddhism
we have no god to sit in judgment, no sins to pay for except the
karmic debt we place upon ourselves.”
Bacoj’s smile faded. He looked to
Japohn and Vax, but they only shook their heads
helplessly.
Lindsey sighed. “You’ll have to speak
better English for me to explain my faith so you can understand, or
I’ll have to learn Kalquorian. The short answer is my beliefs do
not stand in the way of having sex with you.”
That got them all smiling. Japohn said,
“You come with us for rescue ship to Kalquor. You share more during
trip?”
The heat in the three pairs of purple
cats’ eyes made things down below clench. Lindsey swallowed. Her
voice was husky. “I can’t say I dislike the idea.”
The men moved to surround her, their
hands hot through her clothing. Lindsey reluctantly pushed their
eager touches away, looking in the direction of her parents like a
guilty teenager. Fortunately, they were hidden behind a large air
intake vent that protruded from the roof. “Not here,” she
whispered. “Earthers prefer privacy.”
Vax sounded a little breathless. “We go
ship.”
“Yes,” she answered. The sooner the
better. Their brief caresses had excited her, and without hunger
hurting her belly, she had no doubt the next round of intimacy
would be even better than the first.
Her heart beating fast in anticipation,
Lindsey left the rooftop with the clan.
* * * *
They had no sooner entered the clan’s
sleeping room when the men all tugged on Lindsey’s clothing. Her
clothes disappeared with an alacrity that left her
gasping.
“You sure become assertive when it
comes to sexual relations,” she stammered, suddenly naked in the
middle of the group.
Bacoj shucked his knee-high boots and
peeled his formsuit off. “Kalquorians strong men. Strong needs.” He
helped Vax, who was struggling one-handed to undress.
“So I noticed.” Lindsey couldn’t help
but ogle the three sets of erections surrounding her. Warm arousal
suffused her lower regions.
She calculated. Three days to reach the
search party. A couple of days while Bacoj repaired the shuttle.
Then a short hop to the rescuers that were transporting Earthers to
Kalquor. So she had nearly a week to enjoy this trio of lusty
aliens, if they could find the privacy with Lindsey’s parents on
board. Lindsey didn’t think it would be too hard to manage. Two
years of hiding had taught her plenty about subterfuge.
Japohn embraced her from behind, his
turgid flesh hard against her lower back. His mouth closed over the
side of her neck, and she cried out as pinpricks of pain stabbed
into her flesh. “Ow! Why are you biting me again?” She struggled
helplessly in the big alien’s grip.
“Makes feel good,” Vax soothed, his
hand closing over her breast. His thumb massaged her nipple,
bringing it to a hard nub.
“It makes me feel weak,” she protested
as the intoxicant sent languorous pleasure creeping through her
body. Her hips bucked against Bacoj’s questing fingers as he
explored the damp folds of her sex. She moaned with the sensation.
Even the penetration of Japohn’s fangs was fast becoming an erotic
thrill.
Vax tested the weight of her other
breast. The warmth of his hand sent a jolt through her. “You like
control. We like control. We take control.”
Japohn released his grip on her neck.
He licked the wounds slowly with his cat-scratchy tongue as his big
hands kneaded her buttocks. “Vax right. All can no dominate. You
submit.”
“Why me? Why don’t I get a vote in
this?” Lindsey wasn’t really protesting anymore. Her mouth was on
automatic pilot, asking questions her body had no interest in
hearing the answers to.
Japohn tilted her head back so she
could see his humorless smile. Her sex clenched at the sight of
ruthless domination in his expression. “Our ship. Our
rules.”
Before meeting the Kalquorians,
surrender had never been in Lindsey’s vocabulary. But with Vax’s
mouth closing over her breast, Japohn massaging her buttocks and
Bacoj slipping his fingers into her inner realms, she abdicated all
control. “That’s fair, I suppose,” she sighed, releasing herself to
their dictates.
Mouths and hands delighted her, tasting
and groping every inch of her body. She felt devoured, and Lindsey
exulted in being consumed. Her hands roamed the chiseled perfection
of her three lovers, relishing the muscles that Bernini or
Michelangelo might have carved had they been capable of working in
the medium of flesh.
