A Lover's Dream (23 page)

Michaela tried to appease her husband with a slow, sultry dance on the crowded floor.

“I love you,” he whispered against her mouth.

“I love
you
,” she whispered back, her fingers smoothing across the silky waves of his hair.

Quest sighed his contentment, before raising his head to scan the room. “This is your family,” he told her.

“Mmm… I love them too,” she murmured, trailing her lips across his jaw.

“That's just 'cause they're all dressed up. Wait'll the morning.”

Mick looked up at him then. “I love them because they made you the man you are.”

Quest appeared uncertain. “And is that good or bad?”

“It's
very
good.”

Quest smiled down at his wife and almost laughed, he was so happy and excited about the life ahead of them. Mick stood on her toes to press a sweet kiss to his mouth. That kiss turned hot and desirous within seconds.

“I want out of this party,” Quest demanded then, his hands tightening on her waist.

Mick bit her lip. “Baby—”

“We already fulfilled all the couple stuff,” Quest interrupted, before she could argue.

“So how do you propose we make a graceful exit, Mr. Ramsey?” she challenged, her heart somersaulting when he flashed his left-dimpled grin.

“Like this,” he said, sweeping her off her feet and into his arms.

Michaela's laughter rippled out over the well-wishers who cheered and clapped as the newlyweds made their exit amidst a shower of flowers, confetti, and the love of their family.

Dear Readers,

I'm sure you're all wondering if there will be a sequel. The answer is yes. However, for me to create a continuing story, it would have to be planned before I ever started to write the first book.

A Lover's Dream
came to me one afternoon and I completely fell in love with the idea. Quest's and Quaysar's characters appealed to me in more ways than one. Yes, they are incredibly gorgeous, but it went deeper than that—I swear! I actually fell in love with the idea of Michaela first. Mixing these characters together in a sea of family unrest, mystery, and sensuality has been the most enjoyment I've had yet! I hope you all had as much fun reading this story as I've had writing it—and trust me, I had fun!

As always, your comments are welcomed and valued. Contact me: [email protected] I love you guys!

Peace and Blessings,
