[06] Slade (11 page)

He growled with a nod, staring into her mismatched half-breed eyes. “And I’ve never seen anything sexier.”
Her hands continued to explore and took a chance as they headed toward his jeans. She hoped with everything that he wouldn’t stop her, and that he was commando. Luck was on her side. He didn’t stop her, and as she unzipped his tight jeans, her wish of commando came true. Her eyes widened as more of him was revealed. Pulling her eyes away from his large cock, she swallowed hard looking up at him. “Holy shit.”
Slade growled and laughed at the same time. “Music to a man’s ears.” He pulled her up as he kicked his jeans the rest of the way off. Pulling her toward him, he kissed her hard, his tongue working in and out of her mouth in a show of what was to come. He walked her backward to the bed where he laid her down. He stood above her, his eyes searching hers before roaming her body. “Open for me.”
Not wasting any time, Jill slowly opened her legs, raising her arms up above her head giving Slade absolute power over her.

Slade had to clench his fists to keep from grabbing Jill and pounding into her soft flesh. Son of a bitch, she was so ready for him. She was shaking with need, as was he. Calling upon every single bit of self-control he had, Slade reached out, grabbing both of her legs, and pulling her closer to the end of the bed. His mind and body called for full domination over her and he would dominant her, but carefully. She was like no other woman he had ever had and he’d do well to remember that. He wasn’t a true Dom and didn’t want a slave, but he was very demanding in the bedroom and wanted his orders obeyed during sex. Only certain women could handle that and he hoped Jill was one of them. So far, she seemed more than up for the challenge, and in some crazy way, that scared the hell out of him.
Running his hands up her soft thighs, his fingers hit her core. She was more than ready for him, dripping ready. Always being in control, Slade felt that control slip at the feel of her wetness. His eyes shot to hers and that’s all it took for his control to slip totally away. Her eyes, half opened, begged him for everything that he could give her. He wanted to shout out a warning to her, that she didn’t know what she was asking. His selfish side took over, as he—without thought other than being deep inside her—pulled her to him, his rock hard cock sliding into her tightness with mind-blowing resistance.
“Fuck!” he growled in pleasure, his fangs growing as he pushed past her sweet tightness. She wasn’t a virgin, but son of a bitch, she was as tight as one.
“Music to a woman’s ears,” she purred, throwing his words back at him.
Slade hovered over her, placing one hand on the bed as the other went under her ass. His plunging didn’t start out slow and sweet, but hard and thrusting. To his surprise, he didn’t have to bring her up to meet his demanding thrusts; she kept up on her own, thrusting right back at him with more passion than he’d ever experienced. Taking his hand off her sweet ass, he placed his hands on each side of her head, and spread his legs apart more so he could thrust with everything he had.
The sounds coming from her turned him on as no other woman ever had. Her body moved against his, her hands touching him everywhere and something snapped inside him, his control totally vanished. Leaning his head back, he continued to pound into her soft, hot body; nothing else mattered, but finding release. His fangs fully exposed, the thirst hit him hard as his black eyes snapped to her breast. Without thinking, his head swooped down. His mouth opened, clasping across the fullness of her left breast. As his fangs sank into her tender flesh and a scream left her lips, he didn’t stop…couldn’t stop. He continued pounding, and sucked her warm blood down his throat, the erotic flavor going straight to his cock, stretching her wider. Suddenly, he let go of her breast as his spine stiffened and his cock emptied into her hot, sweet tightness.
That’s when the door went flying off its hinges. “What the fuck?!”
Slade shielded Jill as he grabbed for his gun he had within reach. Turning, he aimed it right between Sid’s eyes. “Get the fuck out of here.” Slade roared his rage at being interrupted.
Sid looked him over, his frown growing. “Jill!”
“I’m fine, Sid.” Jill rolled her eyes as she tried to pull the sheet over her body, but Slade’s knees were on it.
When Lana walked up behind Sid, Slade lifted the barrel of the gun toward the ceiling. “Jesus.” Lana looked shocked staring at Slade’s black eyes and bloodied mouth. “Where in the hell did that blood come from?”
“I’m going to give you one second to get the fuck out of this room before I start shooting.” Slade’s tone was beyond pissed, his eyes narrowing in on Sid.
“Don’t threaten me while my mate is in the room.” Sid took an angry step toward Slade.
“Lana, please get him out of here,” Jill’s voice called out from behind Slade’s body. “I’m perfectly fine, embarrassed as hell, but fine.”
“Come on.” Lana pulled at Sid.
Sid pointed at Slade. “You better not have hurt her.”
“Fuck you!” Slade sneered.
“Me and you are going to have a talk.” Sid pointed back at himself and then back at Slade.
“You got that right, motherfucker,” Slade growled, his body still protecting Jill.
“Get out!!” Jill yelled as she eased herself off Slade’s softening cock, which wasn’t really soft at all and that in itself gave her pause, but then she remembered what was going on. “I’m a grown ass woman, Sid Sinclair, and don’t need you running into my room without knocking.”
“Well, excuse the fuck out of me! I hear banging and screaming coming from your room and thought maybe, just maybe you might need help.” Sid tried to peek around Slade to look at Jill. Slade clicked the trigger in warning, the gun lowering to Sid.
“For shit’s sake, Sid.” Lana pushed him out the door, and then turned to try to close the door, but it wouldn’t close. “Ah, I’ll stand out here to make sure no one comes in until you’re ready.” Lana’s eyes went to Slade’s ass.
“Lana!” Sid growled. “I’m close to killing the son of a bitch. Do not push me over the edge.”
“Oh, calm down.” Lana’s voice faded as they moved further down the hallway. “You know I only have eyes for your ass.”
Slade’s chest heaved with effort as he tried to control himself. Turning, he looked at Jill who had distanced herself from him and covered up with the sheet. His eyes searched her before seeing the blood seeping through the whiteness of the sheets. Grabbing it, he yanked it down to see two puncture wounds bleeding freely. “Dammit.” Slade reached for her, lifting her so he could lick the wounds closed.
Jill smiled up at him, wrapping her arms around his neck. When he reached around unclasping her arms, she shook her head. “Don’t do this.” Jill’s voice shook.
“Do what?” Slade tossed the sheet over her, and then got off the bed, grabbing his pants.
“Push me away.” Jill sat back on her knees letting the sheet fall away unashamed. “That was…”
“Something that shouldn’t have happened,” Slade finished for her as he jerked his pants on, careful not to rip his manhood off. Picking up his gun, he tucked it in the back of his waistband before grabbing his shirt and putting it on. “Did I hurt you?”
“When? Now or before?” Jill asked, shooting him a nasty glare.
“You know exactly what I’m talking about,” Slade hissed, tossing her bra and shirt at her.
“No, you didn’t hurt me.” Jill sat, holding her things.
“Put your clothes on before someone else comes barging in your room,” Slade growled, tossing her underwear and jeans at her.
“What do you care?” Jill angrily snapped on her bra and pulled her shirt on, her underwear was next. “You got what you wanted, right?”
“And what the fuck is that supposed to mean?” This time he did look at her. Slade knew without a doubt, he needed to go cool off and think before he did or said something he would regret.
“Good thing Sid did bust ass into my room, huh?” Jill kept going, wiggling into her pants. “Gave you an excuse to push me aside with your pissed-off attitude.”
“Dammit, Jill,” Slade warned, watching as she buttoned her pants.
“Go on.” Jill tossed him his boots. “Get out. Go like you want to. High five Sid on the way out, you asshole. You’re just like everyone else in my life.”
That did it. That pissed him off more than Sid breaking into her room. Grabbing her, he snapped her around, his face inches from hers. “I never promised you anything.”
“I didn’t say you did,” Jill shot back, trying to pull away from him. “But you’re ready to hightail it out of here, aren’t you? At least fake it and stay for two seconds.”
“I’m not like them, Jillian,” Slade growled, wanting to kiss her, but knew it would be a mistake. He had to think, get his shit straight and beat the fuck out of Sid. He gave her one last look. “I’m nothing like them.”
“Then prove it and stay.” Jill’s eyes begged him, but her body language said she didn’t give a shit whether he stayed or went.
With a sigh, Slade picked up his boots and put them on. “I have to take care of some things.”
“Yeah, you do that, Warrior,” Jill called out as he left the room, trying to sound tough, but Slade heard every hurt she’d ever suffered in each word.
With each step, he moved faster. Seeing Sid standing at the end of the hallway with a nasty expression aimed his way, Slade found his outlet. Passing Lana, the Slade Train tackled Sid with force, sending them down a flight of steps.
Slade knew his control was gone, but he didn’t care. Sid was right to be concerned about Jill, but he also knew Sid could take his anger, and honestly, he was afraid not to unleash it. Jax was the first to get to Sid and Slade, passing Lana down the steps. Sloan met him, grabbing Sid as Jax grabbed Slade.
“What in the hell is going on now?” Sloan bellowed, pushing Sid back when he went toward Slade again. “Sid, I swear if you don’t calm the fuck down I’m going to knock you out.”
Slade snapped out of Jax’s hold, swiping his hair out of his face. “Nothing is going on.” Slade glared at Sid, giving him a warning look. He knew if Jill’s name was brought up then it would be bad for her. Relief rushed over him when Sid caught on.
“Yeah, nothing.” Sid wiped the blood from his mouth, his gaze never leaving Slade. “Just a misunderstanding.”
Sloan looked at each of them. “This is it!” he demanded. “I don’t want any more of this shit happening between my Warriors. Is that understood?”
“Yeah, understood.” Slade nodded, turning to walk away.
“Got it,” Sid replied when Sloan looked at him with his ‘you better give the right answer’ look.
“Hold up, Buchanan,” Sloan yelled out, and then looked at Jax. “I got the paintball arena to agree to let you guys go in during business hours today. Be there by eleven this morning and make damn sure no citizen gets hurt or it’s your ass.”
Slade looked down at his watch and cursed. That was only two hours away. “Shit.”
“Is that a problem?” Sloan asked, his tone clearly indicating he didn’t give a shit if it was.
“Yeah, is that a problem?” Sid growled, being a total asshole.
“No problem.” Slade walked out of the room without turning around. If he had, he would have killed Sid, and no one would be able to stop him.

Chapter 9
Jill rode in the back of Adam’s car, her mood at a dangerous level. She was hurt, pissed and tired. Not a great combination for her at all. Someone had called a contractor and a new door was in the process of being put up in her room. Damn Sid, she could kill him, but then again, what happened with her and Slade afterwards may have happened anyway. Sid just gave Slade an excuse.
“What the hell is going on?” Adam slowed down.
Not having paid much attention, Jill looked out the window, anger churning her stomach to the point she felt nauseous. The building where they were holding half-breeds loomed ahead, the tall wrought iron fence making the place look more menacing. Cop cars with their blues flashing lined the street. People were outside the fence holding signs and screaming toward the building in protest.
“Sunglasses on!” Adam slipped his on as Steve and Jill followed. “Son of a bitch.”
Jill watched as everyday people stood outside the fence yelling for their loved ones. Police patrolled with a nervous hand on their guns. Adam stopped at a red light and all three of them stared, watching the chaos outside their car. Her eyes searched beyond the fence looking for the bitch, Alice, and the Mayor, but all she saw were guards or what she thought were guards looking alert.
The light turned green and Adam started to pull away. Jill’s eyes caught on an older lady falling to her knees in front of a police officer, her hands together as if she was begging for something. The cop just shook his head and walked away. The woman’s head dropped in defeat, her shoulders shaking.
“Somebody needs to get inside.” Jill looked away from the woman, back to the building. It was a large block building. She noticed something new…a sign had been added since they had been there last. Vomit thick and sour rose to the back of her throat as she read. ‘Eastern Halfway House’. “Halfway house? That’s not a halfway house, it’s a freaking prison where they do God knows what to half-breeds,” Jill spat, disgusted.
