Unleashed (14 page)

“Please, husband,” she whispered, hands smoothing over the rippling muscles of his back. “Unleash the beast.”

He pulled his fingers from her pussy and as he stalked up her body, she was pressed back against the pillows. His hands became fists by her shoulders as he leveraged his upper body up.

Mine. Mine. Mine.

He lifted his hips and dropped them down, entering and filling her in one stroke. He drove hard and deep and the waves crashed over her. Her body stiffened as her pussy clamped hard around his cock.

Her cry echoed around the room as he continued stroking, harder, faster, deeper, pushing her further and further. She could feel the heat coiling inside her, hotter and tighter than before. His mouth covered hers and his tongue did to her mouth what his cock was doing to her pussy.

Her body stiffened as a wave of heat overwhelmed her.

Wulfgar!

Then, as if pushed beyond what it could do, her body collapsed beneath him, drained. She panted as he continued his steady stroking. Managing to open her eyes, she lost her breath again at the fierce expression above her as his gaze locked on her face.

“Mine, mine, mine,” he chanted, low and continuously.

Sweat covered his face, indeed, his entire body as he put everything into one single action—claiming her body. Briefly, she could see the wolf he’d become in the forest over his face. The Flaridian blood in her responded with a golden glow.

Gasping, she reached up, framing his face with her hands.

“My wolf.”

Growling, Wulfgar stroked one more time into her and howled his triumph as he released into her. The rush of him pushed her into another release as she pulled his head down to kiss him. Their breaths melded together as he collapsed on her. The beast flared in a golden glow before both subsided.

Gathering her to him as he rolled to his side, he brushed the damp strands from her face and kissed her forehead. Slowly her breathing became normal and her eyes fluttered open. Seeing his concerned countenance as he watched her, she smiled at him.

“I think I need to go through your mother’s journals with you,” he suggested.

“Yes,” she agreed, snuggling against him. “Apparently there is much in there I do not understand. Like how using my gifts makes me so eager for my husband’s bed.”

“Mm, I might have you using them quite often, my love,” he replied, kissing her brow. “But, now that I know Karl is your cousin,” he replied, reaching for the comforter and drawing it over their bodies. “It makes some sense of some of his behavior.”

“What…” She shook her head. “No. I don’t need to know that.”

“No, indeed,” he agreed with a chuckle. “But I’m sure that meeting you helped ease his mind greatly in certain areas.”

She sighed and for a long moment neither spoke.

“Cousins,” she said quietly.

“Cousins.”

“I think Elise will be an excellent match for Hunter,” she murmured. “She needs his protection. She has an inner strength that will help him.”

“Who is she?”

“Let me see if I can tell the story properly,” she frowned. “Her father was the eldest son of a squire. He was visiting the capital and saw a young woman being educated at a nearby abbey. He was more persuasive in his suit than the abbess and married her. However, she had no dowry and his mother hated her. He was killed in the southern rebellion. His mother promptly removed his wife and young daughter to a tiny cottage in the middle of the woods, leaving them practically penniless. The younger son married with his mother’s approval. The younger daughter of the Guild Master of smiths.” She met his gaze. “Bettina’s mother’s sister.”

He frowned. “Did they have children?”

“One son. A spoiled boy who is now sixteen and the terror of every girl in the shire.”

“He wanted you.”

“He wanted anything wearing a skirt,” she retorted. “Market days are…were,” she corrected, “difficult. He used the fact that Bettina married Father as an excuse…” She sensed the beast stirring in him and hastily put her palm against his chest. “Wulfgar, no.”

“Why not? We could go to your home with Heinrich and Bettina and I could then introduce him to my beast.”

She stared at him and then giggled, wrapping her arms around his muscled upper torso.

“Going back with them sounds like an excellent idea. But leave him for Hunter.”

Wulfgar frowned.

“His own cousin?”

“Yes. He knows that she is the heir to the title, the lands, and the wealth. The past couple years, Elise has barely left the cottage in fear of meeting him alone.”

Wulfgar considered that, but his bride’s nude body was distracting him. And he decided to put aside everything else.

“No more talk about my cousin or yours, or anyone else’s,” he murmured, nuzzling at her neck. His hands stroked her body. “I can think of much better things to do tonight than talk.”

“Teach me, Wulfgar,” she whispered. “Teach me to touch you.”

He met her eyes and smiled. “Excellent idea, Beloved.”

About the Author

Being published has been a dream of mine for so long that it’s appropriate that my first story accepted, Beck and Call, was inspired from a dream.

I believe that dreams come true, that there are such things as soul-mates and that there is a crazy little thing called love.
