His thumbs pushed toward the
outer lips of her pussy and pressed them open so he could see her pretty, pink,
glistening folds before him. Brandon’s mouth watered at the sight and he groaned
at the amount of juice he could already see there.

‘Jesus, Maggie, you’re soaking
for me.’ Then, before Maggie could answer, he pressed a soft kiss against her
clit before he sucked the whole thing into his mouth. Maggie arched off the bed
and moaned so loudly she was pretty sure Hope could hear it from her house, but
she didn’t care. No one had ever given her this pleasure and she was going to
remember every feeling and sensation he gave her.

Brandon groaned as the flavour of
musk burst against his tongue and he felt he was going to come in his boxers if
she kept moaning like she was. He knew this was her first time and his ego
inflated as he sucked gently on her. He glided a finger toward her entrance but
didn’t push in; instead, he just slowly circled there, feeling her hips grind
against his mouth. He loved how responsive she was to him. She was close to
coming and, as soon as his finger plunged into her body and he sucked her clit
into his mouth, she shot off the bed and he felt her clenching around his
finger. Shit, he wasn’t going to last once he was inside her. Once she calmed down,
he made his way back up her body, kissing all the way, stopping to take her
perfect brown nipple into his mouth and sucking gently.

‘Brandon, oh god... no one has
ever... please kiss me... I need you.’ He couldn’t say no to that and he slid
further up her body. With his hips resting in hers, he couldn’t help but press
against her, cross with himself that he hadn’t yet removed his boxers, wanting
her to feel moist skin against him.

Her hands wrapped around his
shoulders as he kissed her, blending their flavours together. Her delicate teeth
nipped his lower lip as her tongue tangled with his. Not willing to lose
contact, he pushed his pants down with one hand. Once he was free, he aligned
himself against her and pressed slowly in, still kissing her to try and help
her forget the pain. He rocked his hips gently, making sure he coated himself
in her juices, each time pressing further and further in. Her fingers dug into
his shoulders and her mouth became tight against his. Brandon pulled away and
looked down at his angel.

‘You are so beautiful. I can’t
believe you are here with me, under me.’ He pressed further with each word. ‘I’m
sorry I’m going to hurt you, but once I’m in the pain should go and I’ll make
sure you feel nothing but pleasure.’ He hated what he was about to do, but also
relished the thought that no one else had ever been there. His perfect mate,
just for him.

‘Please, Brandon. Make me yours.’
She thrust her hips up as he pressed forward, seating himself fully inside her.
He had to stop to catch his breath as her tight pussy clenched around him,
squeezing him in a vice-like grip. He was afraid to move in case he hurt her…
okay, he was afraid to move in case he came like a horny teenager before he
gave her pleasure. She rocked against him again as if she could feel his inner
battle.

‘Angel, you’re going to have to
stop that or this will be over before it starts,’ said Brandon. She chuckled
underneath him, sending vibrations all over his already alert body. As he
looked down into her eyes, he knew in that moment he was in love with her.

‘Your eyes are beautiful when I
see your wolf coming through,’ said Maggie, cupping his cheek with one hand.

‘I didn’t want to scare you by
showing you my wolf, seeing as your past experience hasn’t been good,’ he
replied.

‘Shh. Let’s not talk about it now,’
said Maggie softly. ‘We’ll talk tomorrow. There are things about me I need to
tell you about. They may make you hate me, but tonight I just want to be yours
and never forget this moment.’ Her eyes filled with tears, but he kissed each
eyelid, elevating her fears.

‘Maggie, nothing you have done or
do will ever make me hate you. I love you and my wolf loves you. But you’re
right, the time for talking is tomorrow, as right now I want to make you scream
my name out to the heavens!’ He pulled back and sunk into her again. Her response
was to wrap her legs around him, urging him to take her. Her moans got louder
as he plunged into her depths and he felt the internal ripples of her muscles
flutter as he felt her coming against him. The warmth that surged down his
spine and into his balls told him he wasn’t going to last much longer and, with
three strokes, he let the heat take him as he shot inside of her.

It was the single, most perfect
moment of his life, even if he had lasted mere minutes. He fell limp against
her body as he rested his head on her breast. Her hands were stroking his hair,
which was causing him to grow hard again. Damn, he loved the feeling of being
inside her and he wanted to fuck her again, but he didn’t want to hurt her.

‘Are you sore?’ He tested by
pulling out a fraction and pressing back into her heat. Her face was flush with
pleasure and she moaned at his movements. ‘I can’t pull out as I want you again,
angel. Are you okay with that?’

‘Yes, Brandon. Anything... please…’
She urged him on again as her legs tightened around him and, with that, he knew
they weren’t going to get much sleep that night.

Chapter Six

The light seeping in through the
window told Maggie it was early morning. Brandon was wrapped around her. She
was spooned against him, her back to his front and, judging from the hard press
of his erection against her bottom, he wasn’t asleep either. She felt his arms
tighten around her and felt his warm breath on her neck.

‘Stop wriggling, as I know you’re
too sore for another round.’ Brandon kissed her neck and, although she knew he
was right about being sore, she felt her arousal spike and she wanted him
again. ‘Damn, angel, you smell so good. But if I don’t get any sleep I’ll be
like a bear with a sore head later. I’ve got some work to do today for the
security here and I’ll need to concentrate on that.’ He was still kissing her
neck as he spoke.

‘Then you’re going to have to
stop kissing me, as it seems my body doesn’t realise how sore I am,’ she
replied.

Brandon moved to turn her around
so she was facing him. When she looked into his amber eyes, she knew the heat
between them had affected him just as much. However, she needed to tell him
about her pack with Marcus before she could go any further.

‘Stop it,’ he said. ‘Whatever put
that look on your face, don’t worry about it now. Let’s get some sleep and we
will talk it over later. I promise.’ He kissed her lips one more time before he
pulled her against his chest and the bliss of sleep wrapped around her.

When she woke up, she didn’t know
what time it was, but she knew Brandon wasn’t in the bed with her. Suddenly,
she felt out of her depth being here in his room. She moved to get up and
winced at the slight pain between her thighs, but then smiled when she thought
about the amount of times they had made love the previous night.

She swung her legs over the bed
and saw a clean T-shirt Brandon must have left for her to put on, but she
desperately needed a shower and to use the toilet before Brandon returned. She
walked across to the bathroom and shut the door. The last thing she needed was
for him to walk in mid-flow. She wasn’t ready for that much openness just yet. Once
she had finished, she turned on the shower and, once the water was warmed up,
she jumped in.

The heat stung her sore muscles,
but it felt good to get clean before she literally came clean to her wolf. She
liked that – her wolf. Never in a million years would she have thought her life
would be like this after the many years spent locked away by the very creatures
she had come to love. The Penn family was nothing like the pack Marcus ruled
over. They loved each other and looked out for each and every pack member.

Once she was dried, she pulled on
the T-shirt and walked out from the bathroom to find Brandon sitting on the bed
looking angry about something. Her stomach bottomed out as she wondered if he
had found out her secret. However, as soon as he saw her he smiled and got up
to come to her.

‘I’m sorry I hurt you last night,’
he said gently. ‘I didn’t mean to. I’ve made some breakfast. You must be
starved, as I didn’t feed you last night.’ He
was
right and, as soon as
he mentioned food, her stomach growled loud enough to rival his. He laughed and
bent done to kiss her.

‘You didn’t hurt me, Brandon, I
promise,’ Maggie replied. ‘I loved every minute of it.’ She let go of his hand and
walked to the bed to see the blood stain on the crisp, clean sheets. She felt
her whole body flush with shame. ‘Oh my god, Brandon! I’m so sorry. I’ll clean
them up. Please, I’m sorry.’ She went to snatch them off the bed, but he
stopped her by pulling her into his arms.

‘Wait. It’s all right, leave them,’
said Brandon. ‘I just didn’t think about it last night, but it’s common to
bleed the first time.’ He pulled her against him and kissed the top of her
head. ‘Shh, it’s okay.’

‘But I didn’t mean to ruin your
sheets. Please, let me put it right.’ She pushed against him and he immediately
let her go.

‘Stop, Maggie, it’s fine. We are
wolves and it’s not the first time I’ve had blood on my sheets. When me and my
brothers were younger, we’d fight all the time and get scratched up. Mamma
showed us how to get it out, so I’m pretty sure they’re not ruined. Even if
they are, I don’t care. Last night was the best night of my life and I don’t
fucking care if I have to buy new sheets every night for the rest of my life.’ He
caught her wince as his voice raised. He didn’t mean to scare her, but he knew
it was hard for her to see him riled up when the last wolf she saw killed her
family. ‘I’m sorry I raised my voice,’ he said, gently this time. ‘It’s okay,
really. Come on, let’s go eat and we’ll sit and chat.’

Maggie couldn’t find her voice,
so she nodded and followed him to the kitchen. However, instead of sitting down
at the kitchen table, he grabbed the bowls and walked into the front room,
which was clearly his office as well.

‘The table’s all set up in here,’
said Brandon. ‘Sorry about the mess. I don’t have many visitors here, you see,
and mostly eat and Mum and Dad’s place, or at my desk. Here, sit down and I’ll
grab the other chair.’

Maggie looked around the room and
could see he clearly loved computers. His office had five computer screens that
she could see and as many keyboards. The desk was littered with what looked
like note books and spare parts.

‘So you’re a geek, huh?’ She
smiled at him to let him know she was teasing. The bowl of fruit he had given
her looked fresh, but she really could do with something more substantial to
fill her stomach.

‘I thought we could get dressed
and go to Callie's shop for lunch?’ he said, as if reading her mind. ‘I’m not
much of a cook, as you know, and didn’t plan the whole staying over part, so
didn’t prepare for breakfast. Is that okay?’

‘That sounds great.’ She was
relieved, but nervous at the same time. ‘So, you like computers?’ He blushed at
her words and she hoped she didn’t offend him.

‘I seem to know what to do with
them,’ he replied. ‘I love tinkering and seeing how things work. Plus, I’m the
only one on the island who knows enough to keep us in the twenty-first century.
My brothers all hate technology, so I get the job of setting up our security
system and anything else that needs doing.’

‘You mentioned that before,’ said
Maggie. ‘Why do you need security here on the island? It’s pretty remote.’ Suddenly
she knew why. To keep people like her away from his family.

‘For the most part we live here
on the island and have enough shops and a bar to keep things to ourselves,’
explained Brandon. ‘But a few weeks ago, we had an incident that put a few of
us at risk. An alpha from another pack threatened my family and hasn’t yet been
caught, so we need to keep a close watch on all the comings and goings in order
to keep everyone safe. You’re included in that now, Maggie. I’ll keep you safe.’
His hand rested on her bare thigh and, in an instant, a tingling awareness
crept up her leg.

‘Thank you, Brandon.’ Her eyes
stung at the thought of the imminent admission. ‘I need help and I’m afraid to
tell you in case you’ll hate me.’ Her tears fell and Brandon brushed them away.

‘Hey, nothing will keep you from
me,’ he said. ‘One day I hope to make you my mate, but not until you’re ready. Whatever
you need help with, we will provide it. You’re family now and as good as part
of this pack. We help each other.’

‘I know you do,’ replied Maggie. ‘I’ve
never lived with such a loving family before. In fact, my life was so fucked up
before I came here that I never knew how other packs could be with each other,
other than the pack I was raised with…’ His hand was still resting on her leg.
She looked up to meet his eyes. Oh boy, this was it. She was going to let him
know all her dirty secrets and hope he loved her enough to keep those promises.

‘You grew up with a pack?’ asked
Brandon, confused. ‘But I thought you were human? I guess I was naive in
wondering how you took to us all so well. Tell me about it, Maggie. What
happened to you in those woods?’ He sat up straight and her stomach churned. She
felt she was going to be sick. ‘Just tell me, Maggie. I can’t protect you until
you tell me.’

Maggie took a deep breath and
then began to tell him her story. ‘I grew up not that far from here, with
another pack of wolves, but they were nothing like your family. They were mean
and hated humans so much they basically treated us as slaves. My mum got caught
up in their pack when I was young and she was forced to work for the alpha as
his personal house keeper. As long as she did everything he said I would be
safe. I was kept in a room upstairs, but was never allowed out. He would come
and sit with me and tell me all the vile things he was doing to my mother and
eventually would do to me. I was allowed to read and watch TV, but never
allowed outside beyond the gated balcony from my room...’

Her tears were flowing freely now,
but Brandon just sat listening to her, letting her get it all out. Once she
started, she felt she had to carry on. ‘My mother would read to me when I was
younger and taught me the basics of life. She warned me not to upset the alpha
and, if he ever came to me, to not fight. Can you imagine that? Not even
fighting for your own daughter! She knew what the man was like, yet still she
didn’t fight to get me out. I hated her for it. That makes me a terrible person,
doesn’t it?’ She looked at Brandon, but all he did was shake his head.

‘No, Maggie,’ he replied, ‘it
doesn’t. It just makes you a survivor of your circumstances. What happened to
her?’ Brandon sat so still, his voice so calm, that she knew once she had
finished he wouldn’t want her again. But she had to tell him everything so she
could fight to get him back.

‘He killed her, the alpha. The
son came and got me one day and said his father wanted to see me. The son
wasn’t so bad and pretty much kept his distance, but I knew he kept the other
wolves from sniffing around me. When he came to my room telling me that Marcus
wanted to see me, I knew then he was going to rape me and that my mother was no
longer there to protect me. I tried to fight, but I wasn’t strong enough
against them.’ She felt Brandon’s rage pouring from him. ‘He didn’t hurt me,
Brandon, but what he did seemed much worse to me. He offered me a deal.’ With
that, Brandon stood and threw his bowl across the room.

‘So your parents weren’t ripped
apart by wolves in the woods? You lied about that?’ He pinched the bridge of
noise as if to calm his thoughts. ‘You fucking lied to me?’

Her voice was thick with tears
and she could hardly finish explaining.

‘He offered me freedom if I came
here and brought you or one of your brothers back to him. I don’t know why he
wants you so badly, but when I made the deal I didn’t know you. I thought all
wolf packs were the same. I didn’t know I would fall in love with you. I wanted
to be free. I didn’t want to live my life like my mother had. It was the only
way I could get away. He told me that if I told any of you his plans I would be
taken back and given to the pack. Please help me, Brandon. I don’t want to be
without you. Please…’ She knew she was begging, but she didn’t care. Last night
had changed everything for her and she knew she couldn’t give Brandon or his
family to that sick alpha wolf for his own perverse games.

‘You lied about everything?’ said
Brandon incredulously. ‘How do I know you’re not fucking lying now? FUCK!’ He
ripped the chair and threw it across the room, making her flinch as it smashed
into the wall. ‘Is that why you came here last night? And is that why you asked
all those questions this morning, to gain some inside information?’ Brandon was
prowling now and, with his eyes turned amber, she could tell his wolf was
close. Then he stopped and looked her straight in the eyes. ‘Get out.’ His words
were quiet but full of anger.

‘Please, Brandon, that’s not what
happened,’ she cried. ‘I don’t know what else to do. Please…’ She got up and
began to approach him, but his face turned to rage.

‘I said get out. Fucking leave. I
want you off this island and gone before I get back here. I don’t ever want to
see you again. My family means more to me than anyone and you knew that. Get
the fuck out. NOW!’ He grabbed her arm and dragged her to the front door. All
her crying had made her weak, and she was certainly no match for a pissed-off
wolf. He opened the door and pushed her through it, slamming the door in her
face.

‘I love you and I’m so sorry,
Brandon...’ Maggie crumpled to the floor and let the tears take her. She knew
what she had to do. She’d risked everything telling him and she had lost. Maybe
if she ran they wouldn’t find her, but she knew her punishment would be worse
if they did. She couldn’t risk being sent back to Marcus, not now, not after
seeing how her life could have been. She would rather live her life in hiding
again than be used by the pack.

She got up on her unsteady legs
and made her way back to Hope’s. Brandon was right - she had to leave and do it
quickly before his brothers found out.

Maggie walked as quickly as she
could, wearing only the T-shirt Brandon had loaned her that morning. Fresh
tears blinded her vision and caused her to stop. She couldn’t breathe - it felt
like her lungs were being crushed.

‘Well, well. Seems like Brandon
didn’t like being used by a whore like you.’ Greg was standing before her,
smiling smugly. His face made her stomach lurch and she felt a fresh wave of nausea
wash over her.

‘What do you want, Greg? I’m done
here. Brandon knows and has asked me to leave. Marcus has enough information to
let me go now.’ She hoped her voice sounded stronger than she felt.

‘You silly girl. You really think
Marcus is going to let you go? You really think I’m going to let you go? My
place is beside Marcus and your place will be under me, whilst I fuck you like
the whore you are.’
