The Seduction (The Seduction 1) (3 page)

She already knew she was going to turn him, rather than let him die.  After that, she had no idea.  She was in love with both of them, one too dark and foreboding to trust, and then him, the purest of hearts she’d ever succumbed too.  She knew she was at a crossroads and she had no idea where it would eventually lead her.  The fear of not knowing scared her more than the possibility of death.
She watched him sleeping there, his chest rising and falling in a natural rhythm.  After she dressed, she went to the bathroom, spraying the water across her face and enjoying the refreshing feeling.  Brushing her hair and then looking towards the mirror, she wished more than anything that she would find her reflection there, but sadly it was a wish that would never come true.  Ever since she had been turned she had not caught a glimpse of what she looked like.  Of course Raven was always letting her know how beautiful she was, and so was Adam but she could never know for herself.  It was the one part of being human she missed the most.

When she came
out ,
she found him there
,
standing at the bedroom window.  When he turned he had a very disapproving look on his face as his eyes fell to Adam lying unconscious on the bed and then to her.  She was going to go and protect him but before she could, Raven had already blocked her way.  She forgot how fast that he could move, but then she shouldn’t have.  He was the leader of the coven.

“Why do you care so much about him Teresa?  He was nothing before you bit him, and still he hasn’t turned all the way yet.  You can still stop this Teresa.  Do it for us.  If not for us, do it for those of us in the coven.”  She squirmed against him, trying to get away, but all it really did was turn him on more.

“That’s it baby, give yourself to me.”  He leaned in to her, licking her neck as his hands made their way down her body, rubbing against her breasts, then her abdomen and finally down to her love patch, grinding his palm against her.  She finally managed to push him away, shoving him all the way across the room and into the window with all the strength she had in her.  She knew she was strong, but he was much older and much stronger than she was.  She also knew he didn’t want to hurt her, but she didn’t want to hurt him either.  There was no way that she was going to let him get to Adam though.

“Leave him be Raven.  I know you want me all for yourself, you always have…this time I do what I want.  What are you going to do about it anyway, kill me, like you have others who have not followed you?”
His anger rising, along with his cock was obvious and when he struck her across the face, sending her flying back, she saw how he visibly flinched from having to do so.

“I can’t have you speak to me this way Teresa, understand that.  You will be mine, one way or the other.”
When he picked her up, his mouth was upon her before she could say another word.  She initially pushed against him, trying her best to not give in to his desire, but eventually she found she was weakening, enjoying his tongue inside of her, and his hand massaging her breasts.  When he reached under the thin material to actually grasp one of her tits in his hand, he allowed his fingers to flitter across them, making her breathless with desire.  She felt herself becoming excited with every second he touched her, and when he suddenly just stopped, backing away from her she was left standing there weak and lost.  She reached out to him but he stood his ground
,
shaking his head.

“It is your choice
Teresa;
choose who you want to be with, me or him.  You have to, because you can’t have both.”
She truly mystified him.  He felt something with her that he’d never felt with any other vampire before.  It left him curious, and not only this, he was almost delirious to have her for himself.  That longing that she created within him would be impossible to live with, so he knew that he might even be forced to play a hand that might leave her hating him.
But, we’d have an eternity to work through that.
His thoughts talked back to him, and he didn’t know if they held any value or not.  He couldn’t imagine having her by his side forever if she despised every second of being with him.  In fact, she might just take it upon herself to stake him one night.
No, that would not be good so it simply can’t end up
as that kind of scenario.  I’d rather trust her, care for her, than worry she’d kill me

He walked past her, in that casual sway that he projected so well.  He stopped by her, caressing her face once more as he whispered into her ear, “Just remember who will always love you forever my dear, remember…
” and
with those last words he was gone, the darkness swallowing him up.  She could still feel him
through
and knew he would not go far.  In fact, she felt he would watch her
every
move that night, as he had many other nights.  There was something different though, she could feel it in the air as she moved to lie beside of Adam on the bed.  All the windows were open and the breeze coming in held the hint of rain.  It was comforting to her.  She didn’t have much time before dawn, so gathering Adam to her, she moved as quickly as
possible
.  She meant to leave him at the parks center, because it was the best place to go in guaranteeing that he would be found and helped…As she drove, her thoughts were tumbling inside of her on what she was going to do.  She wasn’t even certain she would go back to the coven, but then, even if she did not Raven would surely come looking for her.

She couldn’t deny that there was something there for him inside of
her;
she felt it and she knew he felt it.
In fact, she had been pushing those feelings away for a very long time, but now, she thought it might be the very moment where she really needed to release them.
He needed to know how he made her feel but he also needed to understand she was not his to own, vampire or no vampire.  That was a human quality that she had kept and she was glad she had.

She felt she was almost lying to herself about who she really was.  The deceit that she was covering up was almost too much for one person to bear as well.  She was all too aware that Raven knew about some of her actions that were against the coven code, but he didn’t know about all of them.  He had no
idea that she had been interacting with the humans for quite some time, not just looking at them as a way to fill her hunger.  Adam hadn’t been the first who had intrigued her.  There had been others, she simply had avoided them.
She had a fear deep inside of her that if Raven found out about how tormented she really was he would force her into decisions that she didn’t want to make.  Well, the reality was she wasn’t ready to make those choices.

As she stood now, hidden by the woods surrounding them, she looked at Adam lying on the ground by her.  She knelt over him, allowing her fingers to lazily drift across his brow and down the side of his face.  They trailed down his twist, grazing across his manhood.  Though her heart no longer beat like a human beings, she still felt those same longings, the same feelings that humans felt.  After all, she hadn’t been a vampire all her life, which was part of her problem.  She’d held on to the human emotions, letting them dictate to her and almost control her at every turn.  Raven, on the other hand was driven by pure need and lust.  She was certain that there was a part of him that wanted more from her than her body, but he’d never said so.  One thing she knew for a fact.  Even vampires wanted a mate.  They longed for someone to share the centuries with.  Some of them stayed with their creators, while others, like herself, drifted away, trying to explore and figure it all out on their own.

Adam stirred on the ground, and a couple of people just happened to be strolling by in that very instant.  She dropped, covering his body with her own, and plac
ed
her lips upon his.  She kissed him
with every emotion she was feeling in her body at that moment
.
Though his response was faint, she still thrilled to the movement of his tongue against hers.  She couldn’t refrain herself from biting him once more and drinking his blood.  It was like the sweetest nectar to her now vanquished soul.  Somehow, someway, s
he felt that this would make it appear they were just two people out in the night making out under the moon.  She didn’t even want to fathom what would happen if someone happened upon him in his condition.  The scandal that it would create would threaten the very existence of the vampires.

She’d heard the stories by some of the older ones, claiming that there were still vampire hunters, who stalked them; who perceived their ways as explicitly evil and only belonging to some occult.  She’d heard the stories of Vanhelsing and his family, but she’d never witnessed anything that
led her to
have any notion those that had once hunted them still thrived.  After all, she’d also heard the recounts of how Raven himself had cursed any offspring that
Vanhelsing sired

Teresa
wondered though if the curse had really worked.  There had been more than one account where she knew that her own coven had been cursed but it had not held through time.  She believed that the same could hold true for the Vanhelsing family.
So, perhaps it was possible that there were still descendants of the Vanhelsings out there somewhere.  She didn’t know, and she really didn’t want to think on it.  She simply felt that Adam had a right to live.  Perhaps it wouldn’t be what he had thought it would, but at least now…Now she could have some part of him with her whether he wanted to be there or not.  Would the delicate thread like bond hold though?  That was a question she truly felt would be hard to answer.

Finally, she decided to let history lie where it belonged, in the past.  As she leaned her body over his one last time, she slit her wrist with one fang, the third time of allowing him to drink from her.  She
knew this time was
it,
he was going to awaken not human, but not fully vampire as yet.  He’d have to learn the ways, how to control himself, and he’d have to get stronger.  She only hoped that she’d made the right decision.
But of course I have, I couldn’t just let him die here.  No matter what I assimilate him into the coven to become, he will have a life.
