Gene Weingarten (1951- ) has been a writer and editor at
The Washington Post
since 1990. Before that he was a reporter for the
Detroit Free Press,
an editor at the
National Law Journal,
and the editor of
The Miami Herald's Tropic
magazine, which he helped lead to two Pulitzer Prizes. In 1988 he was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University. This is his first book.
