The Guardian (20 page)

Baldemar swung at him as fast as he was
trying to knock him out before he could change. He was growling and
foaming as he took the blow sending him on his ass and reaching for
his ribs. John knew he could not handle many blows like that from
this demon in fron to f him. He jumped up grabbing Baldemar as he
also grabbed him it was a power struggle that John was losing as
Baldemar punched him in the ribs.

Galechka made it out into the woods where
John instructed her to go. To a little cave that he had found the
one day he was training and thought it would be a great place for
her to duck into.

“I hate all you guardians.”

“Why is that?”

“You should not be! We are the supreme
race.”

John felt that she was safe and now he was
not concentrating so hard. The amount of control he needed to lend
her his powers was draining him even with his other attribute
working he was no match, but in that moment he understood the
guardians were rather wolf or vampire that had extra abilities to
protect the ones they love. The ancient guardians were speaking to
him during his gift of power to Galechka, because that proved to
them he was worthy of the secrets.

Even with his guardian powers in full swing
he was getting slammed and tossed around by Baldemar like he was a
toy. He would come at him with everything he had, hits, kicks,
tricks and nothing phased this monster of a vampire at all.

John suddenly felt a sharp pain in his neck
as he was getting up from being tossed by Baldemar; it was Adela,
she was weak and needed strength and whispered in his ear,” I am
only taking a bit.” We need to take him apart together. She kissed
him on the cheek and said,” Let’s kill the ugly thing.”

John and Adela were being flung around like
flies by Baldemar, it seemed like no matter what they dished out it
was not enough to deal with him. They tried their drills that they
had practiced, but he was just too much. Tossing them each in
different direction seeming to laugh and have fun at seeing them
suffer.

He hit John sending him flipping head over
foot landing out in the drive, out cold; grabbed Adela by the
throat and said,” After all of these years, I am going to finally
have my way with you before I kill you and then I am going to let
my dog have his way with your corpse.”

She had fear and disgust in her eyes
thinking about how terrible an ending she was going to have. She
knew all of the past wrongs would be nothing like what was going to
happen to her. She knew the rapping would last for months not hours
or days and it would not be any kind of normal it would be to make
her suffer. She would me a sex slave to his demons and vampires and
maybe passed around to an animal or two for his amusement. He was
the darkest and ugliest being she knew.

As her fear grew another feeling grew: it
was as if she could feel John outside, like she could feel him
transforming and gaining strength. What did this mean? She felt
like she could feel his emotions and not just his thoughts. She
could see his memories see his fears and his confusion with his
love for Galechka and his feelings for Adela. She could see that he
felt guilty and did not know what to do. She could feel him
realizing that she was feeling him. Could it be? Could it be that
his guardian bond belonged to two women or was it really hers?

Baldemar felt himself being up heaved by
someone or something behind him and John slammed him into the
ground with a power driver. He stood up winked at Adela and took
her by the hand.

“I got a beating to throw, so please step
aside.” He winked at her as he helped her stand up, being flirting
with her,” I think I got some of your flirt along with some of you
power.”

He felt his feet leave the ground as Adela’s
fingers slipped from his grasp and as soon as he was about three
feet off the ground he felt a punch to the kidneys and felt himself
hurdling towards the wall slamming through it. John landed out in
yard having ripped through the rose bushes and was trying to shake
the cement from his hair and face so to see better; he brushed
himself off and felt himself being launched back through the house
and into the wall without exiting this time. Partly, stuck in the
wall he felt the gigantic of a man tearing him back out through the
wall. He could feel his neck cracking as Baldemar grasped on.

Adela watched in horror not believing how
bad of a betting that John was taking and starting to realize that
she was in love with him and that it was not just her change making
her so flirty with him. She actually loved him and was crying
uncontrollably as she watched him get torn to pieces. She was
shaking and crying uncontrollably and did not know what to do. John
was taking all the beating, but seemed to not be dishing any
out.

“Stop! For the love of god stop! Please
don’t hurt him anymore,” she begged.

“Do you really think I will give up a chance
like this to torture a living being? He could live for days
possibly. Do you know how much fun that would be?”

“Please, I will do whatever you want,
whenever you want just don’t hurt him,” Adela cried.

“Hum, no I want to rip him from limb to limb
and then I will do whatever I want to you. No one has a say, but
me.” He said with and evil grin.

“I think you might be a little wrong there
Jack,” John said as he stood up grabbing Baldemar by the arm and
then hitting him in the throat.

His guardian eyes were now glowing stronger
than ever and he seemed to omit a green aura around him. He then
snapped kicked the demon vampire in the face sending him back. It
seemed that now Adela being in a bad state was causing him to gain
more power.

“You know dick, you have messed with a lot
of people and that ends tonight.”

“I would love to see you try boy.”

“Oh this guardian is going to rip you
apart.”

“I have killed all those who came before you
and I will kill you as well.”

They ran towards each other grabbing each
other by the napes of the neck and slamming each other into the
ground. It seemed as though they were now evenly matched. John was
to his feet faster and took Baldemar by the hair and started
ramming his knee into his face over and over again and then gave
one final slam knocking Baldemar end over end and back ten
feet.

As Baldemar came to his feet John was
already there kicking him in the teeth and as Baldemar was landing
from that he was there to hit him in the face sending him spinning
in the other direction. John beat and beat on him until the moment
came and John reached through Baldemar and pulled out his black
still beating heart and handed it to Adela allowing her to smash it
to bits under her foot.

Adela leaped into his arms and held on for
dear life crying out of joy and remorse not knowing what to feel
and kissed on John realizing John now had a choose he had to make
and she could feel his heart breaking, because he felt a connection
with both of them and needed time to decide; it was hard, because
he loved his woman, but she was so on and off he did not know what
to do and Adela could feel all of this. She kissed him softly and
said,” Honey, I love you and want you to take your time in
deciding.”

John held her in his arms and she held on
dearly, she tried to pull him in closely, both of them looking each
other into the eyes and both knowing what each other wanted was
interrupted by a sound of someone clearing her throat and saying,”
Looks like some chooses need to be made!”

John replied,” No honey, it’s not what it,”
she stormed out of the room before he could finish and he knew he
had a long road ahead of him to get her to forgive him and for
things to be on the upside again. Always so fast to flash hot and
so hard to make amendments.
