I grabbed her hips, spun her around, and scooted myself to the edge of my seat. She ground her ass against my hard cock and I used my good hand to continue teasing her tits. “You have no idea how much I want you,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper in her ear.

“I think I have an idea,” she said with a giggle, grinding harder against my cock.

I chuckled and dropped my hand down her stomach. Her giggle turned to a gasp when my fingers slipped between her wet folds and teased her clit. “Oh God.”

“Fuck, baby, you’re so wet.”

She nodded and her hair hung down, tickling my face as I kissed a trail up her spine while my fingers worked and teased her. “I think,” I paused, dropping another open mouthed kiss to her soft skin, “we need to take this to my office.”

“Mmm. I like the sound of that.”

If I were in full force, I would have scooped her into my arms and carried her down the hall. But, with a busted arm and a still healing hole in my side, it was out of the question. And I knew, that as my doctor, Gemma wouldn’t even allow me to try.

Even though it would’ve been sexy as sin.

I wrapped myself behind her and nudged her forward, teasing her titties and kissing on the back of her neck as we took short, shuffled steps, towards the back of the warehouse where my office was located. Once inside, I shut and locked the door, and turned to find Gemma positioned enticingly on the couch against the wall. When my eyes trailed down her body, she spread her thighs, revealing her beautiful wet pussy to me and I damn near lost it right there at the doorway.

I crossed to her and my lips crushed against hers. I touched as much of her as I could, running my good hand up and down her body, committing every inch to memory. We became a tangled mess of limbs, lips, and groans of pleasure as we each tried to drive the other insane.

When Gemma’s hand ran up along the edge of my bandaged side, she stopped cold. “Are you…okay?”

“Yeah.” She gave me a stern, don’t fuck with me look. “Gemma, I’m fine. I promise.” I nipped at the side of her neck with my teeth and then ran my tongue over the spot and she melted back into me.

“Fine, but I’m gonna be on top,” she growled into my ear.

I chuckled softly and pushed her hair out of my way as I continued up her neck. “No arguments here,” I said, my breath hot against her skin.

She tugged my shorts off of me and dropped a few kisses up my thighs, coming teasingly close to my cock, before she bypassed it and kissed up my abs.

“Tease,” I growled at her.

She responded with a smile and after I grabbed a condom from the couch side table—which, she didn’t even bat an eye at me having—and rolled it on, she lowered that sweet pussy onto my cock.

“Fuck,” I hissed as she stretched and wrapped around me. She moaned as she got situated and started to rock back and forth, rolling her hips. She was panting and moaning uncontrollably within minutes. “Hey, baby, slow down. We got all night.”

Her eyes were round and dark as they found mine. She nodded and slowed her pace and her breathing. We stayed locked together as she worked her body up and down mine. My fingers found her clit and stroked the bud as she rolled and her eyes pressed closed again with a groan. “God, Aaron, that’s….wow.”

I grinned and waited until her release rippled through her and over me like a summer thunder storm. She rumbled as she reached the heights and came down again. After a brief pause to catch her breath, she thrust back against me, with a renewed vigor and it was my turn to have my eyes roll back in my head.

I held on as long as I could, gripping her ass cheeks as she worked, and my mind went wild with all the things I’d do to her once I was back at full strength and healed from my injuries.

She wasn’t gonna know what hit her.

All the fantasies racing through my mind only added to the pleasure of her body against mine and I exploded inside her. She slowed and drew every last bit from me, before she stopped and sagged against my chest.

“Damn,” she panted against my sweat coated chest. “Strip chicken turned out to be better than the name suggested.”

I laughed. “Think we should patent it?”

She giggled and shook her head against me. “No, I think it’s just for us.”

Something about the way she said
us
soaked through my skin and warmed me. “Fair enough.”

When we roused, we pulled ourselves together long enough to shimmy back into our discarded clothing from the simulators room and go back over to my house on the other side of the property.

Chapter Twelve

Gemma and I woke up the following morning with the sun streaming in through the blinds in my living room. We’d crashed through the doors and promptly fallen back together on my bed. Eventually, we’d fallen asleep together, and when the morning came, we were still tangled together just as we had been the night before. I dropped a kiss to Gemma’s bare shoulder and she stirred.

“Morning,” I said, my voice thick.

“Morning to you too.” Gemma giggled.

“What’s so funny over there?” I nuzzled my stubble across her skin and she shivered against me.

“Strip chicken…God…how much did we drink at Harvey’s?”

A flash on panic shot through my gut, wondering if that was her subtle way of saying she’d been out of her mind to sleep with me. In all fairness, that wouldn’t be the worst thing a woman had ever told me, but there was something about Gemma that had me wishing that maybe this would be different.

She rolled over, tugging the sheet with her, and looked up into my face. “I had a really good time, Aaron.” She brushed her fingers over my hair and smiled.

“Me too.”

A silence enveloped us, freezing us in place, until the sound of a loud truck backfired, sending us both bolting upright. “Ow, fuck!” I gasped, grabbing for my side.

“Oh, are you okay?” Gemma said, craning around to check my wound.

“Yeah,” I replied through gritted teeth. “I keep forgetting that sudden moves make my body angry right now…”

She laughed softly. “It’ll be back to normal soon. I promise. I personally did those stitches, so I know they’re good.”

“I don’t think I ever thanked you,” I said, suddenly frozen by the realization. I looked down into her grey eyes and tucked a hand around her cheek, my thumb brushing her jawline. “Thank you for saving my life, Gemma.”

She went silent, her eyes searching mine, and then smiled. “You’re welcome. It was my pleasure.”

We pulled apart after another moment and I stalked over to the window to see what the hell was going on. I groaned and cursed under my breath as I saw that the truck that had backfired was a news van. “The media circus is gearing up for another day. God, this is getting really, really old. Maybe I should just fuckin’ sell the whole thing to O’Keefe. I don’t know how much more of this shit I can take.”

“Hey, let’s get out of here for a little while. It’s my last day off. We could go to the beach? Hang out?”

I nodded. “Let me get a hold of Lana and tell her we’re closed again today.”

After a couple of quick calls, Gemma and I took my Jeep down the bluff and into town, ignoring the reporters who chased after us in an effort to get an exclusive.

“I can’t believe you haven’t been here yet,” I said to Gemma, holding the door to Carly’s open. “This is literally the best place.”

“I’m ready. I have a big appetite this morning,” she teased, smiling up at me as she passed by, walking into the small shop. “Oh, wow. It smells like Heaven.”

We joined the small line of customers and waited our turn. When we got to the counter, Carly was beaming from ear to ear. Her eyes alight with mischief as she flicked them from me, to Gemma, and back again.

She looked like the Cheshire Cat.

“Morning gorgeous,” I drawled, instantly flicking a look at Gemma to see if my inadvertently flirtatious nickname had thrown her off. She was smiling serenely. “This is Gemma Henderson, she’s a kick ass doctor up at the hospital.”

“Nurse,” Gemma corrected. “Nice to meet you.”

“This is Carly, she owns this shop and is the genius mastermind behind all those amazing looking treats over there,” I said, jerking my chin towards the pastry case.

“Nice to meet you too.” Carly looked back at me, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Gemma wandered a little farther down the case and Carly leaned in. “Oh my God, Player! I’ve never seen you with a woman in the light of day,” she hissed excitedly.

I sighed. “Yeah, yeah. I’ll take my usual,” I said, ignoring her prying eyes.

“Coming right up…but you’re going to have to stop by and fill me in later.” She bounced off to the espresso machine before I could object and I rolled my eyes.

“What looks good?” I asked, turning my attention back to Gemma.

“Everything,” she said, giggling.

“Hey Carly, can we get one of everything?”

Gemma punched me in the shoulder. “Don’t be ridiculous.”

Carly turned and nodded. “Sure. Just give me a few to box it all up. Anything to drink, Gemma? I can make just about anything, so even if it’s not on the menu, just let me know what sounds good. Only the best for Aaron's…
friend
.” She winked at me and turned back to her work before I could shoot a dagger at her.

I was starting to miss Holly’s nagging.

Fifteen minutes later, Carly handed Gemma and me two large bakery boxes, filled with one of each of the pastries in the case. “All right you two, be good, and come back soon,” she said, waving us out the door.

“She’s nice,” Gemma said as we walked outside and took a spot at one of the tables.

“Very. A little nosy though…”

Gemma laughed lightly and took a sip from the drink she’d ordered. “It’s a small town. Kinda goes with the territory from what I’ve heard.”

“That’s true. A bit different than Chicago. Do you miss the craziness?”

Gemma shook her head. “Not really. I mean, it’s a beautiful city, but let’s face it, nothing can really compete with this,” she gestured out at the ocean as the waves rolled in, lapping at the light sand.

“View’s pretty good from here too,” I said, staring deliberately at her.

God, when had I turned into such a sap?

I was going to have to nip that in the bud.

We picked through the boxes, eating and eating, until we’d made an impressive dent in the contents and leaned back, bordering on slipping into a sugar coma. “I can’t believe you really ordered one of everything,” Gemma said, shaking her head.

I laughed and shrugged. “Hey, it’s what you wanted. I’m all about giving the lady what she wants…I think I proved that last night,” I added, dropping my voice low.

She smirked at me. “You’re impossible.”

I smiled at her, my mind still racing through the memories from the night before. I’d knelt before the bed, her thighs parted wide, and buried my face between them. I could still remember the first taste.

Perfection.

“So what’s the plan now?” Gemma asked, dragging me out of my musings.

I stiffened in my chair. I knew—and hated—the answer. “I gotta figure out what the fuck to do about O’Keefe.”

“Right…” Gemma frowned. “Any ideas?”

“I haven’t had a lot of time to think about it since last night. I was a little…distracted.”

“Focus, Rosen,” she said, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. She drank from her insulated cup and gave me a playful roll of her eyes.

“I don’t see that I have much of a choice. I guess I could go to a lawyer, get their advice. With confidentiality laws, I could tell them everything, and see what they would say.”

“That’s a good idea.”

“What about you?”

She groaned and dropped her head back. “I probably should unpack. If I don’t get things organized soon I think I’m going to go full blown crazy.”

I laughed at her theatrics. “Well let’s get you back to your car. Maybe we can continue our…tour…later tonight when we’ve both got our shit handled.”

She licked her lips, sending me back into overdrive. “Sounds like a plan.”

* * * *

After dropping Gemma back at Harvey’s, I went back to the house, bypassing the museum and the circus spilling out over the parking lot, to study the contract O’Keefe had given me before calling a lawyer to get advice. I had one more full day to figure out what to do but the more I read, the more my wheels were spinning and sputtering.

I didn’t want to give up the museum. The idea of moving, and getting him to leave the planes alone, was worthy of attention, but the thought of finding a new piece of property—not to mention a new place to live—and moving everything over was not only exhausting, but I knew it would have a steep price tag attached to it as well.

A move like that could easily sink what profits I’d made in the past year and a half.

Then there was the idea of calling O’Keefe’s bluff and seeing what would happen if he took the recording to the police and started an investigation into Rick. Even if that turned out well, I knew it wasn’t likely to be O’Keefe’s last trick. He had his sights locked on the museum, and as Talia had warned me, he wasn’t going to give up until he had what he wanted.

I was at the dining room table, staring at the contracts, when there was a knock at the front door.

“Just couldn’t get enough…” I said, grinning at the thought of Gemma standing on the other side.

I could use a distraction. Still smiling, I got up and went to the door. When I pulled it open, there was a woman standing there, but it wasn’t Gemma. It was Frankie, the FAA agent, and two seconds later, her partner, Gary, sauntered up the walk.

“Afternoon, Rosen, we need to talk to you,” Gary said, joining Frankie on the porch.

“I thought I told you two any further inquiries needed to go to my lawyer.”

Gary gave a curt smile. “First of all, you never sent over that information to our office. Second, this isn’t a question. This is something you need to see. We’ve gotten to the bottom of what happened. We know why the plane crashed that night.”

My heart screeched to a halt, slamming into my ribs. “You what?”

This was it, the moment I’d have to face the truth.
