“Meet me at the McDonald’s around the corner from your house tomorrow at ten, and I’ll lay it down to you. If you can handle it, I guarantee your case will go away.”

“Damn, ten. That’s earlier than a muthafucka!” he grunted.

“They serve breakfast in jail earlier than that.”

“Aw you got jokes now, huh?  I’ll be there.”

I hung up then went back upstairs. Danny was still sound asleep lying on his side. I thought about waking him so he could get home—so his wife wouldn’t suspect anything. I smiled thinking

, then crawled in the bed and lay in the spoon position against him.
